Surrey Hills Brit - 70000 heads the 'Sunset Steam Express' - 18/07/23

Taking charge of the 'Sunset Steam Express' on the 18th July was BR Standard No. 70000 'Britannia', with the Pacific becoming the third loco to be rostered onto Steam Dreams' popular circular tours for the Summer of 2023.
As the light begins to fade, the 'Brit' is seen on the 1 in 96 climb of Gomshall Bank. Having been signal checked at Shalford, the train rounds the curve and powers through Chilworth, captured from a bridge just to the east of the station. With 12 coaches and a Class 47 at the rear, the soundtrack is quite something!
