    350z
See it on a Cold start
Check oil and for metal spec’s
last time they got a oil change = 145$ in cost and labor
    Look at coolant when cold
Check if hoses are dried out
Check cooling system = 60$ in cost and labor
Check spark plugs = 300$ in cost and labor
    Check undercarriage
    Check exhaust smoke
Check windshield = 315$ in cost and labor
Rev car to check for smoke
Check for calipers = 866$ in cost and labor
Idle should be at 800 when warm
    Check how many owners
    Check alignment
Check tire tread 800 = in cost and labor
    Check vin for title
    Check body panel alignment
I think I got a lot of stuff to check if you have more add it in the comments and btw not all of the pricing is exactly right but pretty damn close

A lot of people will use the excuse that they don’t want buyers at their home and want to meet at a mall or supermarket hence the car being warm up. Please invest in a automotive stethoscope and put it up to the oil pan and really listen good for rod knock from either excessive engine bearing oil clearance, and a lot of people will play with the bliss screw and kick up the idle just enough to mask a slight rod knock at idle. The engine is toast. Don’t fall for it. Rent an oil pressure tester from auto zone for free and test the oil pressure yourself.

    2. Owner number is less relevant than length of time of last couple owners.
    3. This is usually true, but not always. If you have the time, jumping on "too cheap" ads can get you a great deal.. 1/10 times :P

Question, I saw that a lot of times you shift rather high in the rpms. I recently purchased a Z and the previous owner had the rev light at 5,000 so I haven’t really pushed it much beyond that for fear of causing undue stress on the car. Have you or anyone you’ve heard of noticed any negative outcomes of shifting at higher rpms or am I just babying the car unnecessarily?

    • @JohnnyB.
      @JohnnyB.  3 года назад +1

Hey! Good question, personally I've been wondering the same thing. I've been hoping that maybe with more affordable electric cars taking a lot of media attention, more people will be inclined to get electric cars and more 350z's will come up on the market which will cause prices to drop a bit, but probably not by much. I think in the long run people will desire gas motors and these 350zs will be iconic in the Japanese car community so their prices will eventually continue to climb and hold their value. Thanks for the question and for tuning in!!🙏

I would probably save/look around just a bit more and get a non-salvage title 350z! It's only the difference of a few grand, and will save you probably many headaches/grands in the future! Some salvage title cars are pretty clean though, so its really all about the maintenance records and how the owner treated it prior! Really appreciate your comment my friend!!
