En verdad aprecio mucho estos tutoriales. Al buscar realmente no encontré demaciados, y mucho menos un canal entero que lo explicara tan excelente y hermoso. Gracias de todo corazón ❤️
Do u already play or are u learning? I'm really interested in trying this. I'm kind of obsessed with steel drums 😂 this seemed like an easier introduction
You play great, but I’m just starting out and I have an 11 note 6” drum, and I need to know how the numbers work, like there are 2 each of the numbers 1,5,6,& 7, so how do I know when to use the right number if there are 2 if the same ones? Oh and there is a D on the bottom of the drum!
You'll find that the second copies are either an octave above or an octave below. Mine has an extra 567 (i.e. A, B, C#) just below (in pitch) the complete octave of the major scale 12345671 (i.e. D E F# G A B C# D). The D on the bottom is there to say your drum provides a D major scale.
Love this, love your channel but could you please make another video for the See you again song with this tank drum? I purchased your music sheet and try to find a full video playing this song but the sound there is a bit... broken :((
Thank you for this video!!! I’m looking to buy a steel tongue drum because i find listening to it so relaxing especially when you’re stressed!! Also could you possibly tell me where you brought your tongue drum from? I either can’t find one with numbers on it or can’t find one with all those notes.
Hello, thank you for your videos. I just received a steel tongue drum like yours, but it's not tuned to D Major like yours. How do I know what key / note it is tuned to?
I know it's been 9 months, but basically it doesn't matter that much if it's tuned to D Major, C Major, A# Major - fundamentally, you can treat major tunings as more or less the same because the _intervals_ between each note (his 1 and 2 and your 1 and 2, for example) will be the same. This doesn't hold if you have perfect pitch, but as a general principle, it shouldn't matter too much which major scale you're tuned to as long as it's a major scale, as long as you're playing by yourself. You'll be able to use the music sheet in the video to play the song just the same - you just may need to turn the sound down on the video.
Wowww❤❤❤Thanks so much. I patiently waiting for mine to arrived 23-8 Jan 🙏🙏❤️🌱

beautiful! Now I want to learn it! :)
I just received my drum… THANK YOU🎶
Thanks for the tutorial. This is very informative for beginners like me. May I know how to play when you see a line under 2 numbers? Thank you.
Hi Joseph and thanks for your lovely comment. the line under 2, it means you play at the same time with using both your hands.
You make it look so easy.
Coz it is easy ! Try it
@@jewelseng9900 not for everyone.I found it hard and frustrating.
@@avigold3622I’m gettin one for Christmas and a kalimba and an ocarina continue trying to learn it is supposed to be quick

Look at harp tutorials, I’ve seen the apostrophe or quotation marks and comma used to denote which note you’re looking dor

This was my first song learned 😌
Guess I better get started on Ed Sheeran now. 😂
So soothing💜☮✝☮💜

Hi Van! sure! I will record another video with the song 'See you again'. Thank you!

hello ! you can find the link on the video explanation :D
Hi. Your link goes to a different drum, not the one pictured here. Correct link please. Your videos a very good.
The vocalist in me has been internally singing “do, re, me, da, so…..” along with this. Lol it helps me associate better I guess. Lol
Great idea!
I’m planning to get a tongue drum but am confused by the tuning. Why do they mainly come in D major?
my question exactly 😅
Beautiful. is that a 15-in? Are there different qualities can you suggest somewhere to go to get it? Thanks
Hello, this is 13 inch 15 note steel tongue drum :) you can find below link for the similar one !

Beautiful! Sorry, but I am new. What does tuned in D major means? Thank you.
Hi, the drum itself was tuned in D major scale from it was manufactured :D
As a beginner, it is really difficult to follow the notes as you play. They need to be highlighted on the white strip.
is mine mirrored? i got it today, the notes are the same, but on the opposite sides 😂
oh i never heard of mirrored tongue drum…!
@@SoothingKim 🤣 its strange, but the tabs work just fine. could it be, because its a C-tuned drum? i read in a comment that yours is a D-tuned
@@cheerubebayonettaholopaine2638 I think mine is like yours tuned as C instead of D. It's a shame he she didn't answer.
What artist sings “See you again” … by whom?
Charlie puth
Kann ich deine Lieder, die du im Anhang anbietest, auch mit einer C-Dur 15 spielen?
