I installed both Analog Lab 4 and V. Not sure if it is just me, but looks like 4 is better organized than the Explore view in V. Other than that with the Keylab mkii + Analog Lab V Collection I have never seen an investment so worthwhile as this in my life, giving you basically a couple of years of exploration, learning and creativity. Just no real need to get anything else for a long time! But anyway, we all know how that goes...we just want more gear, whether we need it or not. Still deciding on the DAW....all of them seem cluttered, so trying to pick the least cluttered one. Cakewalk by Bandlab is free, seems quite intuitive and also seem to integrate to a good extent with this Keylab setup. Tutorials very nicely done....not too slow and not too fast and exactly focusing on the things that matter.
Analog Lab and DAW Integration with Cubase are awesome. The V Collection soft synths are amazing. I had a few of these in the 80's, and to have so many classic synths with this awesome keyboard is a joy. Thanks for a great series
I personally own the V collection 7 and by far ever since owning the analog lab since 2015 I have never felt the need to upgrade to anything else. Also great integration with Maschine software I have never went to anything else because I’m 100 satisfied with both.
I've had this for 6 months, and still can't get the Arturia to switch from Analog Lab V5, DAW, and USER, using the centre buttons. Is it because my Arturia goes through my Behringer interface first? Does this only work in Logic, or when I'm using the Lab module as well?
These in-house videos are often hilarious. "Hey, there's a far more interesting synth to my immediate right but I'm here playing thin vsts via another midi controller. No, I have no idea why a two VOX , a marshall amp, and a drum set are in the room. I don't think the producer plays music" The toy dinosaurs make way more sense though. That's fine.
When in a DAW with multiple tracks and multiple instances of Analog Lab V, how does the Keylab know which instance of Analog Lab to control? Is it whatever is on screen, in focus, or does it send control info to the currently armed track only? Does this routing need any settings changed in the DAW (Studio One in my case) or it the connection automatic?
If those pianos are so perfect !! Why did my Arturia Keylab 61 Mk2 have to come out defective from the factory is it the only one in the world? and I couldn't return it!!!
I just bought this keyboard to integrate with FL Studio, however I can't figure out how to access the Analog lab software. I read it comes with this keyboard but I'm unsure how to install the software. Any help would be appreciated.
When you register the keyboard you will install a small Arturia utility that shows what products you own. Follow the instructions on the card that was included with the keyboard. You have to go to a particular web page that is shown on the card. Then you'll be able to install each program individually from that. Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive. You can choose a different location if necessary. Just getting my Keylab 88 Mk2 set up today so it's fresh in my mind. I ran into a problem getting the midi control app to communicate with the keyboard. Once working I can see it will be a fantastic utility. I already set it up for soft pedal and sostenuto pedal. It was easy.
I saw the dinosaur in the background, then I thought I heard heard you say "while Jurrassically reducing the need of your mouse and your computer screen". Did I imagine it?
How are you getting sound from the keyboard? My digital mixer is connected to the computer will the sound card pick up to signal from the keyboard and send it out to my mixer? I see your not using the midi in/out so how are you getting sound to your speakers
This is a controller, not a standalone instrument. The controller is connected via USB to control software instruments. From there, your computer would send sound to whatever output you have set up.
I have never had a more difficult and frustrating time trying to just get sound to come out of analog lab to the MK2 61 And when I load a preset patch and hit a key it will not work even if it's in an log lab mode I need help

Hi! Could you please upload videos for KeyLab Essential 88? I have several issues integrating it with the Ableton Live 10, and unfortunately, I haven't found a single video about this specific model on your youtube channel or anywhere else. Thank you in advance for your kind support.
I have just bought this keyboard and i am struggling with the lack of info to get going. The manual has a pad set that does not mach mine and after after making the downloades have no clue on using analog pad. All the guys on this page are having fun and i wish i could join them. I have tried to get help but it seems they do not want to talk to me. Is there a wy to get a list of how starting from A to Z. help.
Wishing you could access the analog lab browser on the iPad and also wish I could control and access it from my Mpc one hope to see these updates sooner rather than later it would be a dawless 💪🏽 beast
Silly question (I am new to all this and about to buy the mkII keylab) - Can you use all the in-built sounds in a DAW (I am getting FL Stuio). Also, is Analog Lab the same as V Collection ? Thanks
I'm on mac. There are respective .vst files in each of the Analog Lab collections' file directories. I'm not sure if those work with FL Studio integration but, if they do, it may be as easy as copying or dragging them over to the FL Studio plug-ins folder. Logic Pro X (I use) requires a .component file type. I can't find those anywhere
Too bad, eh? I don't think these folks must actually follow up on what they post. Just also noticed something odd. I just checked 5-6 other pages of theirs as sample examples, with hundreds of comments, many with questions being asked of them... and not one response. I find this VERY disappointing especially within the context of "tutorial" videos. I was a teacher for decades, and I would NEVER think of offering a lesson... and then NOT responding to questions from the "class". Ugh.
@ :58 seconds this assumes the user is using a direct USB connection to the MKII. This is not true if the user is connected to say a MIDIMan or similar MIDI "device". In fact much of this tutorial doesn't apply if you are connected via the MIDI port.
hello. thank you for your great video .increadible help for beginners like me. i would like to know if the knobs and faders on this midi controller work for other plugins or programs like abelton of others or only its own program? thank you
So does analog lab let me tweak the actual instruments themeselves? Or just use or combine two presets? I'd like to be able to adjust the exact knobs and everything in the virtual plugin of the many different synth sounds
Only if you have purchased the instrument or the entire V collection. Then you click the edit button and have full control of all controls. Analogue lab just has some of the controls if the instruments are not owned.
Hi can anyone tell me how to unmap key's on keylab 49 mk2. When recording with Ableton live 10 some of the key's are mapped to that when played they change thing's in live 10. Very frustrating. Trevor J.
Hi! If you want to unmap controls in Ableton you can click on "MIDI" on the top right corner of the software and you'll see this menu: remotify.io/sites/all/themes/custom/remotify/images/ableton-midi-mapping/midi-mapping-browser.jpg There you can delete any mapping you made :) I hope it helps!
Hi all, [61 keys are not working] I received my brand new KeyLab MKII 2 days ago, registered my product, updated firmware to 1.2.4, macOS Catalina up to date (restarted my laptop just in case), installed and updated all tools from Arturia Software Center, Analog Lab settings are identical to the video 0:55 - pads, knobs, buttons are all working except the 61 keys are unresponsive... I spent my entire weekend looking around the web and found nothing. If anyone had the same issue in the past, I will really appreciate your insight. How many levels of shift commands? That’s the deal breaker for me . And does it still fall behind updates schedules for Apple or crash the daws it runs in?when running multiple tracks ? Is it iOS native ? I only use there apps and the drum-brute or my micro brutes I did not care for their modular offerings their web page or method of downloading updates or their firmware updates which is cryptic and lain. Just saying. Peace Christo 👽
Keylab em-kay 2.... Really?? I always thought mk2 meant "Mark 2" which is much easier to say than "em-kay 2". I gotta think it's a millennial thing, but I'm guessing Arturia signed off on this video. A Rhodes Mk IV is not an "em-kay-i-vee".... it's a "Mark 4". Sorry.... I dunno why this bugs me so.......
It bugs me too. There is another Arturia video with a different presenter saying the same thing. Maybe that’s how Arturia themselves think it should be said. They’re French I think, so they would say ‘type deux’ and maybe they don’t realise that Mk is ‘Mark’.

The armed track will be controlled.
Morning. Ineed know where is controll tuning for instrument how piano organ etc. Thankyou. Regard Modesto
Excuse me, does a multi can be with 2 sounds only, or I can add 3, 4 or 5 sounds in overlay? Thanks.
Only 2
How do you revert performance controls back to factory settings to restart?

is there anyway to keep the buttons on the keylab mk2 lit, while using like the akai controller?

I like analog lab. So i got analog lab but want to use a different midi keyboard. Would it be possible?
yes, works with native instruments, but you need to map the knobs. It's not perfect, but it will work to a usable degree.
Is there any plugins for KL49' for free? Or I need to buy them?
I saw the dinosaur in the background, then I thought I heard heard you say "while Jurrassically reducing the need of your mouse and your computer screen". Did I imagine it?

This may be a dumb question but how can I export a sound onto abelton?
I believe you would either record the audio output on the track or just keep the instance of the vst being triggered by midi?
Do you have tutorials with the analog lab V and cubase 10 by any chance? Can't seem to get the controller to do much :(
Hi there, thank you for the feedback! We currently have none at the moment.

can i ask you which laptop are you using for music? i dont want MAC.
Kaja Fertin any Windows based laptop with at least a semi recent i5 processor (or AMD Ryzen 5) and at least 8GB of RAM.

Its like Jane Eyre playing synth.
Sadly she got eaten by a dinosaur
Anyone else notice at 1:27 she sneaks in a 'jurassically' instead of 'drastically'

Why dont you tell more about the Master Keyboard itself? How is the Arpeggiator? the Chord functions? etc. etc. etc....
Because that was addressed in Episode 1.
This is so extremely useless and inauthentic it hurts. Like the washing agent ads from the 50's. How stupid does Arturia think their customers are?
@Steve Bruce Huh? You're absolutely wrong. And liking your own comment within the first hour does not help.
Bad tutorial. For instance "What is a category?"
