Unquestionably the best video you've ever made. I could feel the Lexusness flowing through me as you drove through Lexfordshire.
"You've got seat set on full blimmin rudeboy! You can't be rudeboy in this!" lmao
‘I have royalty on board and I have to carry on to a Pizza Express’
Cheers chaps, what a lovely relaxing watch, smashing audio quality too. :)
An old boss had a 2001 RX300, at 250k miles it was still a bank vault inside with a smooth engine, got decent mileage, everything worked and it had never let him down; that was the car that made me "understand lexus". The old RXs were a very smart old money car; any car that offers comfort without being offensive to others and is good to live with for a decade or more sorta fits that mold IMO
Oh yes, I do love a long Smith&Sniff.
Will go down lovely with me Indian.
Most relaxing Smith & Sniff ever, about to pass out watching this. It wouldn't be safe for me to own this car
2007 gs450h sel owner here. Took my boss for a drive in mine he has an I8 and a merc AMG something. 5 mins round the block he says "oh yeah I get it, it's not sporty it's just really really nice"
Perfectly Lexicuted video. I think that dashboard is genuinely more 'Supra' than the new Supra one. The ES was the Windom in Japan. I can't really be bothered to see if anyone has mentioned that below as I am so late and therefore irrelevant. I flipping love these videos.
Why is no one talking about the man floating behind the car during the intro?
The ES is all over Texas. With our long distance, these are a really popular for people who want a luxurious space but don’t want a luxo-barge. They are on the road in many cases for 15 years and are known for being bulletproof. The 3.5 V6 lasts 200,000 miles without much maintenance at all. The dealer experience is better than any Audi or Jag experience. The dealers maintain huge fleets of loaner cars, typically ES 350, and you can get a loaner on just one day notice. They will wash your car as a courtesy if you drop by. The dealers have coffee bars and complimentary beverages and snacks. Sometimes the dealer will even repair your car under warranty when something major happens and you’ve gone slightly past the Powertrain warranty. By contrast, good luck getting a service appointment at a JLR dealer on less than two weeks’ notice and good luck getting a service loaner car. The routine maintenance on any Lexus is way cheaper than any A or B maintenance on a Mercedes. A friend had a RR Velar as a loaner from a JLR dealer once and the transmission computer failed in the middle of the night when she was driving in the countryside. All this contributes to the huge presence of Lexus in the US.
"you have to taste Lexus to understand Lexus"
*LIKE HEROIN* 💉💪🐎😂
This channel was a true find, a gem to share with friends. Harry's garage on acid, shotmaster, couldn't stop watching. I left this one half watched to satisfy my conscience and empty the dishwasher before my wife got home. Yawn..
Thanks Mike
@@TheLateBrakeShow No problem. I'm training to be a troll but I think I'm coming across as a bit timid?
Honestly took me three attempts to watch this video because I kept falling asleep. It's like one of those 5D IMAX immersive screenings, but instead of getting blasted in the face with water and a leaf blower I got the armchair Lexus experience
First time to comment here, lads - that was just brilliant. Best vid yet! I’ll never look at a Lexus the same again. Zzzzzz. (Oh, and thumbs up for afternoon naps too. Great recharge for rest of the day. Even 15 minutes can boost my charge to ... 80% )
Lexus, the heroine of the car world.
I never thought that kind of praise could be leveled at that brand.
I feel so chilled out now & I've just watched a video about a Lexus.
Superb.
Loved the 5,000 miles I’ve driven mine since late September; wafts and comfortable place to be. Countered by my Land Rover Series 1 and Lotus 7; yin and yang ☯️
Subtitle: Shitload of legroom
you guys were good in this format.
Fantastic viewing, even I was feeling sleepy watching it (in a good way, not out of boredom).
I’d love a Lexus. I want comfort and to waft.
Sadly I have Lexus aspirations but Toyota money.
Saw (and heard) a straight piped SC430. Sounds proper.
“This heated steering wheel is warm” 🤔
Classic vid. I had a IS300h for a courtesy car. I drove from Doncaster to Hull with one finger. It had lane centering and all that jazz. Very relaxing Ve-hicular experience!
Straying close to proper cars review there guys. Seems a nice car though.
The incongruity of the Russian revolution commissar jacket on Smith... though as stated below no doubt you need a Lenin to balance the McCartney creative type dozing in the back.
Excellent video, may have changed my mind about the Volvo S90 I've been eyeing.
So comfortable and relaxing I fell asleep..... 3 times!
As a two time LS owner I still think the ES model is one of the best cars a consumer can buy for reasonable money. The ride on the current ES is way better than previous models and you’re right - it’s remarkably well put together. In the US we mostly would opt for the regular 6 not the hybrid.
Every third or fourth time you say the word Lexus my Alexa lights up lol
You both have to (by law) continue, no wait I mean never stop uploading vids for this channel
Curse my need for an estate... This looks absolutely wonderful. I'm ready to fully embrace my inner old man.
Anyone else find that final scene just a liiiiitle bit too long?! I'm just sat here, in the office, watching two men sleep in a car!
Thanks fellas... from a melting ex-pat in the anti-car-capital that is Australia.
With your pulse rates so reduced, there wasn’t even the need to pause for your customary snack. Maybe it’s forbidden in a Lexus.
I watched this, going for a nap now.
Is that Gary Barlow driving?
You just needed Classic FM on in the background in the Lex-I and both of you would of lapsed into a coma!
New model.. Lexus ZS.... “Zenedine Sedan” ?
Someone else who has noticed that Toyota (and other far eatern manufacturers) have a massive stockpile of 'those' digital clocks......
if it makes a sound it must be called "symphony"
...and that's why I drive a Lexus.
Toyota/Lexus theory: Don't fix it if it ain't break
You drove past hexagon and completely ignored the rows of 911s and Lotuses.
Love my RC 300h F Sport. Had it for a year after choosing it over 4 , A5 and C Class Coupés and still pleased with my decision.
What a tidy Defender there is in the background of those opening shots...
I think the GS wheels Johnny is speaking of are those staggered Borbet 18inch. An attractive multispoke.
Aha the i3 was next to and i3 of the same colour
I'm late to the party binge-watching these and they're fantastic please do more or the lexi discussion was so Alan Partridge I just love it 🤣 combo for Lexus and Toyota fan and I'm still waiting to be old enough and have the money
to buy A lexi just sitting in an LC 500 I think I would just explode with happiness, as you said the thinking man or woman's luxury car bit light Saab and Honda VTEC owners they know a secret that normal badge snobs don't understand👍😂
Yes .
You missed the obvious song for this video ,The lexuscon of love - ABC
The rear light strip on the small Lexis SUV is like that off a Macan - except it's rubbish and had light and dark bits 😂
You haven’t wazzed yourself lol 😝- do Lexus do a branded incontinence pad?
Gentlemen..
Very good, hell excellent..🤣🤣🤣
The Japanese Mercedes as Alan would say.
Jonny, when you said some of the best designed alloy wheels on the 90's GS do you mean a MK1 GS sport with the Borbet wheels. If so you are correct 👌
Nothing like a gristly B-road.
I assume every other video in this car will consist of you two sitting having a nap, in a car park somewhere?
I've had an IS300h for the last 5 years. It's a bloody fab car. I ride bikes to go fast. I'd love an estate version of the IS/ES. I'd be well in there. Sadly won't happen due to the march of the SUV
I have now ordered an ES. Lexus has me.
It has now arrived and is such a chill car to drive. I have bikes to go fast.
Regents Park, the quiet corner of London town....
14:31 Marc Almond late for a gig?
Often watch these and wonder about the middle armrest etiquett....
Same steering wheel adjustment joystick as my old 2003 RX, their procurement must have gone mad on those and clocks in one massive order
I think thar goes back to the original LS!
I’m now on autotrader looking at Lexuses.
Now I am
I think it's based more on the Avalon than the Camry. :P
What is the difference?
Is it more cosseting than a Volvo S90?
Way better than any Merc !
You drove past Craig David’s house you should have picked him up to write a follow up to 7 days
ES replacing GS in euro market?
I dabble in a spot of uber in one of these and you're right, it's magnificent. This video made me cry into my toyota fanboy hanky that it's being replaced with a more dog friendly NX but that's just me being a spoilt wanker I guess.
Talking stealth-wealth creative; isn’t Paul McCartney an LS man? I believe his was a Japanese spec vegetarian friendly model without leather seats
This is all true. I’ve seen him getting out of it in London’s fashionable Soho Square. Richard
Phallic door handles, cool...
The CVT is the Lexus equivalent of having a "power reserve" gauge in a rolls royce. Don't you know rpms are vulgar?
Davros 😄
Jack Frost was nipping at your nose, btw, on that side of things #OTSOT
The "Luxury Export to the United States" thing is a myth. The name doesn't mean anything. It was originally "Alexis", then modified because it was a person's name.
1:10 in and neither of you have made a Partridge reference or wearing a Castrol puffer jacket! Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it!! 🤣🤣
For all its comfort, jeeeezus it looks weird.
Micras. Always driven badly.
It was and still is one of the most boring cars Lexus has ever created, not to mention it's part of Toyota, one of the most overrated brands ever, it's of two factors, they're either owned by old people or nutters who are either obsessed with Initial D or Fast And Furious
