- I delivered my 2021 Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP to Brentuning a few weeks ago and returned to collect it. Brendan was able to remove restrictions from the motorcycle by flashing it's ECU and make it faster and smoother than stock. He compared my Fireblade SP to Slim Thug's 2020 BMW S 1000 RR and the results were impressive and amazing!

FT ECU, Woolich Racing, HSBK, no one was still able to unlock the ECU on the R1 2020. I hope this man can do it. Because the new R1 has a similar problem that CBR had. BrenTuning, I hope you can ECU flash the R1. I don't want to put the stock exhaust back on.
Brentuning is very close to an ECU flash for the 2020+ R1/R1M
From what learned the darn "mystery" ecu on r1 and zx10r appear to come from same source. Hoping if does one it will apply to the other.

If he can flash the new R1 I’ll buy one. I like the S1000RR it’s a great bike but the R1 hits differently.

It could be the octane, air temp, altitude, or dyno difference. I've heard tire compound can make differences as well.

Love Honda sold my 2012 for family financial issues, now ready to purchase again extremely happy Honda finally has built one to compete with the rest my brother is a big Suzuki GXR fan and my buddy is a big Kawi ZX10R both tried hard to convince me to go with those bikes , now I can tell them no way Honda is my bike. How? S1000RR makes same peak power at lower rpm and kills the Honda in midrange where it matters on the street. You're delusional
BMW matches hp numbers and beats it in torque and price.
fzr1000 mid range power matters on the street??? For what commuting ??
Mid range power matters on the track a bit more where u use rev range more.
On the street if ur racing... you bang out of whatever gear you start in and stay high in the Rpms through the highway turns and straights.....
On the track you slow down to 1-2 gear tight turns and build back up.
Street racing is dumb, obviously you've never ridden on a good mountain road.
fzr1000 we have no sponsorships so how we choose to ride our bikes is our own business but....
Slower speeds benefit from more midrange or higher tq figures.
As for mountain roads there are a lot of mountains around nyc area so yes I do mountain roads. But racing happens only 3 ways on the street.
Drag racing.. roll racing... full on racing point a to point b on map.
No form of racing is dumb. Each is hard in their own way

@Akin Pao that's the factory Rev Limit... The bike has been proven to run well into the 15k
Akin, that higher rpm is of benefit for over rev when we gp race on downshifts etc. That extra 1,000 rpm of the honda is not its peak figure. For smack down type stuff it will be really of no use amd shifted prior. The quicker rev nature of motor due to light material components will help. But quite frankly comparing this cbr to a zx10r is apples to oranges. Apples apples need compare zx10rr to this bike per price and component sets.

@@Jorsherr Yep, 1000rr.net, and CBR1000RR Forums in US and UK are great sources of knowledge for us true Honda guys and ladies and we have always produced fast bikes here in Florida. Remember, 650 is primarily a Ducati and BMW fan and so is Brendan. Nice to see them on board with a true Honda that highlights its speed, innovations, and cornering, while also exposing this beautiful bike to others within their communities. We have adjusted and tinkered with our Hondas for years. The CBR1000RRR is no exception! 😎

Used MCU Innovations to flash and un-nerf my US bike back to 200hp from home. Don't forget to remove all the intake/airbox foam... Amazing bike. Glad to see Honda competitive again.

Idk if this matters but the power mode is set to 4 which is second lowest, they go from 1 at the max and 5 most restriction

173hp, my 2004 gsxr1000 makes 165hp. These new restrictions are really killing these bikes.

I'm not saying he is dumb, I'm just saying he spends alot of time DYNO his bikes and alot of mods but doesn't do them himself. It's cool if he isn't comfortable doing work on his bike cause if it's done wrong it will get you killed. I just saying I would like to learn to do work my self.

Man, that is one heck of a tune! the stock settings are terrible, so anyone that gets a new CBR has to get it tuned to make it the bike it's supposed to be. The torque curves are so bad at stock, well hopefully I win this CBR cause I really don't want to have to buy one and send it straight to Brendan! haha.

add 3 tooth of sprocket at rear or more if you want to use the 6gear and and it will surely give you more acceleration power
They are the first ones that are able to flash the ECU on CBR 1000 RR R. I hope they will be able to unlock the ECU on R1 2020/2021. My bike runs very lean at the moment. After contacting Bren Tuning I realized that they are cool company. They said they are known to unlock ECU's that no one was previously able to do. Let's hope that they can do it, because ECU flash on the new R1 is not recommended, it is required if you have decatted exhaust. Many new R1's have blown up because of this issue. EURO 5 bikes are very lean out of the box with stock exhaust, adding a full system makes them very very lean.

They weren't the first to flash a CBR1000RR-R. That was thanks to tools developed MCU Innovations and there have been 200whp CBRs since December. Not knocking his tune, just giving credit for cracking the ECU to who actually accomplished it.

Same tuning in Indian version the rrr produce 225-230 bhp on dyno.
The 2021 zx10r is just as incredible and the Showa balance free fork is actually better then the öhlins !!!

@@whitevador8875 exactly man....nissin calipers are more reliable then brembos, and Showa forks are more reliable then Öhlins for example..... all the italian bikes are less reliable then the Japanese bikes but people like @jofer above say “what?!?” And are surprised that Japanese aftermarket parts would also be more reliable then European aftermarket parts but people don’t wanna have that convo LOL.... ANDDDD the Showa balance free forks are manual, always better then semi-active electronic suspension for performance.... 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Motogp are prototype one off bikes that have nothing to do with what we have on street. Wsbk have over 100k invested into our bikes transforming them into something else.

Don’t forget, the bmw has forged wheels, the CBR has heavy cast wheels and 2hp difference. If you put forged wheels on the CBR, you should gain an extra 1-2hp, which then both bikes would be putting out the exact same power.
Doesn't work that way, It'll just help with handling but it doesn't increase power
@@kadrell37 yes it does work that way, the lighter the wheel, the more rotational mass, the more hp. If that wasn’t true, riders wouldn’t put ceramic bearings, or 520 conversion chain/sprocket, or lightweight brake rotor or change their wheels to forged or carbon.

I'm slightly disappointed with the results, this bike is on par with the v4r in SBK, maybe it needs fancy hrc engine parts or a race ecu.

The non-SP is the exact same drivetrain. The only differences are the Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, quickshifter standard (optional on base-model), and SP decals... The non-SP isn't currently sold in the US, though.
