I'm 44 and grew up with the original, but I gotta admit this was VERY good remake. Finally broke down and watched it with my daughter a few years ago. Its possible I've watched it 7 or 8 times on my own since 😀😀😀
Totally agree. There is something about movies like these where the musical numbers just bring back memories and this old man just can't help but tear up smiling.

Mi sembra di ricordare che avessero offerto il ruolo a Zac Efron, che lo rifiutò. Forse aveva paura del confronto con Kevin, ma lo avrebbe retto perfettamente (sempre secondo me).

Why was this remake good? Well, they actually used professional dancers to play Ren and Ariel. ❤ Kevin Bacon danced a little bit, but not the advanced dancing in the 1984 version. The original is my favorite. But I love the fact that they used professional dancers in the new version. 😃

Yeah but in the original, the leads can act. Lol. A bunch of high school kids don’t dance like professionals. I watched the both for the first time on back to back nights and the original was better. John Lithgow was great.
