The way you approach different textures in your painting really is next level. Brilliant tutorial! I can slowly feel my colour pick paralysis subsiding the more I watch of your content.
Hi Kujo i want to thank you for the amazing videos. I am a new painter and become hooked on this hobby quick. Just found this channel this week and cant stop watching . Your skills are amazing. Love your approach on painting. This are easily one of the best explanations videos on youtube . I feel like it is perfect to pick up new techniques and that all because of the way you lead us to the process. Keep up the great work for us to enjoy and most of al learn from.
What a beautiful paint job. I am one of those who aren't fans of the sparkle effects, maybe because I've never seen one live. But I still learned a lot from this video and the hair is still beautifully done. Kudos, Kujo.
elbentzo what’s interesting is I did not even notice it from the beginning. Then after watching it it stood out but it was also the last of the tutorial. I think it a nice subconscious affect!
Oh geez.... you did it again with the wedding haha. Gorgeous results. Perfect timing. Starting a military pinup model for my fathers man cave/garage. Has alot of that style decor. Thought itd be a neat gift.
Sorry for the delay. Bit of LIFE kicked in and put hobbying on delay for couple weeks. Friend passed away, i got mildly hurt at work, then everyone at home ended up coming down with the flu....so yeeeeaaahhh. Ha. Luckily everything is ok now. One of The disappointing parts was i had told a couple people at my LGS about lookin for a pinup model for my project and someone came forward and said they had one of the few i had seen online that i liked, that they'd sell me. Basically got the run around an ive since stopped asking him. The few ive found online for sale are either not the setting/style, im looking for, or they are but theyre more akin to a female army man in detail. Since ive basically had to start from square one again, im also lookin into independent created STLs and the like, which is alot more promising since theirs alot more to choose it seems. In the meantime ive ordered a couple bits and sacrificial sculpt to create my own Ash Williams from Evil Dead. Again, ive found premade STL files, and 2-3 scuplts of premade minis for him but i like converting so i wanted to give it a whirl myself. If i remember ill try to post a couple WIP links for you to critique if you find the time. Thanks for the intrest, sorry for the delay again. Keep up the amazing work.
Kujo, man you have amazing brush control. It is a struggle for me because of arthritis from working on electronics. But I won't stop trying to refine my technique. Excellent job!
You made the layering work look so easy, and once agin that's an amazing paint job on one badass model, it gives me wood just looking at it and for that we thank u sir for sharing.
Another great video where you take something where the finished product looks impossible and then show how it can be achieved in easy steps. Thank you and happy holidays!
Thanks for that nice tutorial. You're explanation helps me a lot to improve my painting skills. I wish you all the best for 2020. You deserve much more followers.
Ah yeah, just the right stuff to get back into the hobby after stuffing my face with festive gastronomy for the last week. Thanks you as always and a superior new year!
Kujo, Do you ever add anything to inks when diluting besides water? I have found because of the “violent” nature they don’t make the greatest washes but rather glazes like you applied.
@@brentwood7660 No, but sometimes I add them to pre made washes to boost the intensity of the colour and get more of a wet look effect. Generally I just use them as glazes. But don't let that stop you from experimenting.
Hiya, thanks! Yep, there's already a couple videos on the skin for this on my patreon feed, I'm not sure if they'll be released on youtube or not though. Usually I just pick a couple videos from a series to put on youtube, but we'll see!
Nicely done! How do you get your base coat so dull and smooth!? Mine looks so rough/shiny/textured. Can you please provide your thinning technique? I use citadel.
Thanks! This video might help you out -> ruclips.net/video/yZvX7xDGBLg/видео.html GW paints are naturally satin in finish so you want be able to get them to look 'dull' without adding some kind of matting agent to them. But if they're going on rough/textured it's because you're not thinning the paint enough/overworking the paint on the surface. Check out that video to see how to fix it.
Your paint mixes look thin but apply great on the model. Do you wick off the extra water onto a paper towel between getting paint on your brush and putting it on the model?
Yes, I usually either wipe excess off on a paper towel or my thumb nail. If it's a glaze I'll tap my brush against a paper towel a few times to get most of the liquid off.
I have a model I wanna give proper ginger hair, and this is by far the best version of that I've seen. It looks amazing!

Awesome, glad to hear it! :)

Thanks, yeah, it's a bit of a marmite effect, but that's ok. Glad you enjoyed the video. :)

What a great effect.
Hope you and yours had a good Christmas and you all have a healthy New Year.

I don't know what it is Kujo, I love your paint style...but your voice is like hypnotically soothing and keeps me drawn in.
I'm not saying the Mi5 are using me to test out some top secret subliminal tech, but I'm not not saying that either. *whistles
Kujo, man you have amazing brush control. It is a struggle for me because of arthritis from working on electronics. But I won't stop trying to refine my technique. Excellent job!
Ah sorry to hear that, I hope it becomes less of a struggle in the new year.
I'm pretty excited to get into Kingdom Death painting. Thank you for the great tutorials.
No problem, they make really great miniatures. A joy to paint.
Great stuff, super chill. I can't wait to see more.
Thanks mate. :)
Absolutely brilliant result!
Thanks a lot!
Awesome painting and share thanks

Superb technique. You're very inspirational and have helped me refine my skill. Your voice is perfect for tutorials too.
Keep uploading videos.

Wish this model was still available
You could get a plastic version a while ago. Should be able to get a bunch on ebay, probably a bit pricey though.

Happy New Year! Glad you liked the video.
Great video. Thanks for sharing your skills. Happy New Year to you.
Thanks, and you!
Cheers for the vid Gotrek
No probs Felix.
Man you are the bob Ross of miniature painting
Happy little sparkles.
I like that inks are “violent” in color, rather than “vibrant” - makes them sound waaay more Metal 😂
Yes!

Love this Kujo! are you going to release a skin tutorial for this specific mini?

@@KujoPainting thank you! I'll get some matte medium and check out the video. 😁
Very nice!
Cheers.
Happy festive season, but mine will really commence when I get home and can put brush to metal/resin.
I hear that. Life is always better when the brush hits the resin.
I'm a simple man, I see anything nearing a redhead and I upvote. Lovely video as always !
Words to live by. :)
I know you did some glaze videos already but can you do a basic guide cause they are eluding me?
I'm doing a bunch of basic videos soon, so probably. :)
@@KujoPainting great! I really like your videos so I look forward to it
@@MFinGonzo Cheers. :)
Your videos always brighten my day, thank you! I'll use this for my Infinity Joan of Arc!
Oh nice. I'm sure it'll look pretty cool on those tiny infinity minis.
Jaaas its always a joy watching your vidios
Thanks a lot! :D
The little transparent spots above the colours, is it a sort of flow improver or just water?
They're little pools of tap water. I keep some in a dropper bottle and put a few drops on the palette I can use for thinning.
Beautiful work as usual weeman 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😁🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑✌
Cheers pal. :)

What is the name of this kingdom of death model?
It's called 'ringtail vixen'.
Thank you ,
You're most welcome.
Really not a fan of the sparkles, but the rest of the hair looks awesome
Fair enough, cheers!
I’m not to fan of your white dot highlights. I’d stop at the light yellow and ink.
You must do what you feel is right of course.
