    Hey Kujo. I've noticed a lot of other painters talk about their process as if it were all planned out from start to finish, and they are just executing on that plan. What I like about this video is it shows how and when to makes changes on the fly, and how to fix things when they don't turn out like you thought they might.

    To reduce the size of the forehead, you could have painted eyebrows. Why do so many minis don't have eyebrows? And so many painters don't paint them? They are a part of facial expression.

    • @KujoPainting
      @KujoPainting  5 лет назад

      Yep you can do eyebrows if you like. It's really down to personal preference, this model is very small, I think at this scale it's not that big a deal to leave them off, sometimes it makes it look too busy, similar to why you normally only paint the lower lip.

    Awesome video like always! The theory bit at the end was like the cherry on a cake ... delicious.
    2 Things I want to ask you :
    •After erasing your mistake with a damp brush does it bother you that a slight blue tint remains near the nose?
    •How do you address the paint residue that creates a not very smooth 3d texture after building layers over layers? Other areas are more forgiving but on the face it's very obvious. I noticed it a bit on your model too but it's not showing anymore on the finished product.

    • @KujoPainting
      @KujoPainting  5 лет назад

      I didn't realize I left a blue tint? I'll check on the model, I might have (hopefully) painted it out later. You can reduce the little balls of doom by washing your brush out a lot in the water pot and reloading with fresh paint. Also not over working the paint when you put it onto the model, try to place the paint and leave it to dry. If you fuss about with it a lot, it'll start to dry a little and your brush will 'churn' the surface and create little balls of dry paint. If you do get a little ball or flake of something, or even a bit of dust , you can you can lift it off the surface with the tip of your brush assuming you spot it, while it's still a bit wet. But if it dries in place the only way to get rid of it is to get a sharp scalpel blade and very carefully cut it off the surface. If it's dust you can usually tease up one end then grab it with your nails or some tweezers and pull it off the surface. Then you can touch it up with a bit of paint. I usually do that off camera if I get any because I have put the model really close to my face to be able to see what I'm doing.
