The tour aboard the “Aleutian Ballad” gives you a glimpse into the life of being a commercial crab fishermen in the rough waters of the Bering Sea while safely being over a thousand miles away in the calm waters of the Alaskan Inside Passage.
If you’re a fan of the Deadliest Catch TV show, you might recognize the tour boat’s name: the “Aleutian Ballad.” The boat became famous when it almost capsized after being hit by a 60-foot rogue wave during a storm in the Bering Sea.

As a handicap person I was nervous about this trip, for what I do not know. The engineer came with a wheelchair and met me at the bus and rolled me to the boat, they were outstanding in being accessible and accommodating to handicap needs. Whatever it takes for them to share the experience with people they do. Thank you again, crew of the Aleutian Ballad, for an outstanding trip.
PS. It was more difficult to board the NCL Encore than the Aleutian Ballad.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We also thought the crew of the Aleutian Ballad were outstanding!
