Nice deep dive into tracking abilities. I enjoyed using two phones with a few gimbals I've had previously, providing monitoring and even motion control, to frame, which was useful, but other than the small size of whats truly a "remote control / monitor" Hohem had a brilliant idea here. Building tracking independent of the phones camera is incorporated in a bunch of cheap Amazon tripods so they probably have no patent or limited ownership of the concept design, in wvhich case we are entering a creative renaissance!

Glad it was helpful. To be clear it is not specifically designed for GoPro but it can hold a GoPro. it doesn’t connect to it wirelessly for the remote control to work But it is just as easy to press the record button on the GoPro.

Really looking forward to receiving mine. I need an assistant, not a paparazzi for my face😄
cool. definitely big improvements. object tracking, 360 degree rotation as well as allowing the arm to be flip to the back. this will be my next replacement mobile gimbal. 🤗🤗
Good video! Just an fyi though your audio sounds a touch echoey compared to others but I don't think its your mic itself. Not sure if its a post thing or possibly more dampening in the room (wall pads etc, fabric on unseen walls etc. I just wanted to mention as it is the ONLY thing I noticed coming from another high production value videos. Excellent information and details given though, 1st place on that in my books from what I have seen. Most feel like marketing as they are but, you are coming across much more genuine and much less a marketing shill like most other channels 🤣.
It is not advertised for that but yes it can Cary an action camera and I use it for action cameras. It doesn’t connect wirelessly to the action camera for the controls but I really don’t even do that with my phone either but I know some people do.

You can record with your phone however you want using the native camera app. The gimbal works independently from your phone. I was showing using the back camera on my phone because I like to do that because the back camera is better then the selfie cam.
I have used this gambler with the GoPro and Insta360 Ace pro. However, This is not specifically designed to be used with action cameras, so it won't wirelessly connect to them for the controls, but it can handle the weight and if you're OK with just clamping it into the phone mount it does work and if you're worried about it falling out of the phone mount you could always just throw a rubber band around it.
I would say no. I've recently got the M7 and walking around my coffee table focused on a Bluetooth speaker, it breaks tracking lock quite often even at just a walking pace circling the table. It's OK but far from perfect. It works better at tracking you whilst talking and moving around. Not so much rc cars which is what I wanted it for as well. 1/5 scale so they're pretty big but I'm doubtful.

Have been troubleshooting a NEW m7 right out of the box since Saturday as I explained to Hohem this was a gift for my wife and it’s defective. It jerks in tilt mode, then flips the camera facing down and gets stuck, all 3 switches are unlocked, tried recalibrating. This was the suggestion by hohem tech. After him having me send several videos for over an hour he then requires me to do a zoom meeting with another tech for an hour. The first tech also said for me to “Please try rotating it up and down for a week to restore it to its initial state.” What a joke! Any suggestions how to get this thing to work properly?

It would really depend on how close you are. It probably would but probably not very dependably.
