Or may be mic receiver attached to phone from one side and lens or ND filter on the other? Could the gimbal stand this load and to work correctly and smooth ?
Yes! The 500 grams of payload capacity are extremely useful for rigs like this. I actually just shot with the Hohem Mic-01 and Sandmarc Filters! I am working this week on a brief video showing this build!

But I'll be putting reflex lenses on it (I hear they are heavy) and I was worried that outside of weight there would be a space issue ie I hear a lot of people complain that the Smallrig Brandon Li cage/rig with the mag safe gets in the way of larger filters and doesn't fit.
I actually tried this today with my M7 and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to support zooming with the native iPhone camera app (using iPhone 16 Pro on the latest version of iOS 18.2).
Hello! Welcome to the channel! The DJI Mic Mini should work since it connects via usbc. The extra payload capacity allows for the adjustment of the smartphone in the phone grip so you can slide the microphone. I have used it with Hohem Mic-01 which is a similar wireless mic system made by Hohem and it is similar in design receiver wise. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼😀

Oh yes! M7 is compatible with virtually any smartphone including some foldable devices. AI is independent and you can use both Hohem Joy app or 3rd party apps and still start/stop recording with the gimbal shutter button! 🤘🏼

Have been troubleshooting a NEW m7 right out of the box since Saturday as I explained to Hohem through tech support this was a gift for my wife and it’s defective. It jerks in tilt mode, then flips the camera facing down and gets stuck, all 3 switches are unlocked, tried recalibrating. This was the suggestion by hohem tech. “Please try rotating it up and down for a week to restore it to its initial state.” After him having me send several videos for over an hour he then requires me to do a zoom meeting with another tech for an hour. What a joke! Any suggestions how to get this thing to work properly?
Sorry you’re having challenges! I had to do a bit of back arm adjusting myself when rotating to portrait and back to landscape. Hope you can get a resolution on this!

Oh yes. Just slide the phone a bit and you can make it happen! The adjustable back arm plus the 500g payload is clutch for this kind of setup!

No place to put a Micro on the phone, just to tight to the gimbal 🤔
You can actually slide the phone to connect the mic. The back arm is adjustable to counter balance for those adjustments!

The lack of zoom on the wheel was a let down for me. Otherwise it’s an amazing piece of kit. It may get rectified in an update. One can only hope.

How do you Livestream on RUclips with this?
I personally prefer the RUclips app. You can use the AI tracking sensor regardless of the app! Hope this helps!

Looks brilliant but the price and size make it only suitable for the serious videographers.
Agree that this model is a higher end product with pro features. I recommend V3 for portability and affordability. 🤘🏼

Hohem Stead M6 is definitely the best gimbal but this M7 is the worst.
