Actually, Alex said he’s a simple guy as well. It might not translate very well, but it means he’s not pompous or hard to deal with.
The problem is “simples” doesn’t exactly translate to “simple” in this context. Simple means not very smart, basic type of person, simples is more like down to earth

A “not simple” guy, would be someone who makes a bunch of demands in order to help in the camp, and that is a bit particular in the way he trains. I believe you can be down to earth while not being simple (as fair as the Portuguese language is concerned).

@@danielnicholson25 no choice other than to lean back, volk leaning back may of looked amateurish but it was the only reason it took 7mins for ilia to land the punch instead of 30seconds. its such a rough one for volk, if he keeps his head low and doesnt back off then hes accepting a boxing vs boxing match which isnt in his favour.
if volk was 5 inches taller he would just head kick ilia constantly. volk just isnt tall enough to get his leg up there so ilia can afford to not worry about it which is just a huge bonus for someone tryna engage in boxing.
