    Hey these are the best, most condense, informative, analytical videos about volleyball techniques on youtube. We really appreciate it. I am already going through all of them.
    I just realized though that you have a lot of earlier videos that have no english subtitle so I can't understand them.
    Could you maybe make some English subtitles to your best earlier videos and reupload them? I just really want to learn more.

    Hey, I really love your videos. Also, thank you very much for the subtitles, so even more people can learn from you.
    I wanted to ask you to do a video about the differences in spiking form between male and female hitters. I play with both men and women and I noticed that some stuff I struggle with comes really natural to many guys (like arching your back and folding/ kicking the leg) of course they are also really talented. I don't want to complain, I just noticed the differences, so I wondered if maybe I am trying to do stuff that's physically harder for me and maybe some other form would be more optimal. (I am a 1,63cm woman)

    Best explanations! Unlike other videos telling you what todo without explaining why. If u found another video saying a different thing you get confused which one to follow because theres no science behind what they teach.
    I have a question.
    With the straight arm form, ive seen some athletes swing their arms up with their elbows bent and close to their body . It seems that this makes their swing faster to perform because they cut some corners and they hit at the peak of their jump. Would recommend swinging up like this? Will this cut the height of the jump?

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад +1

      I think the speed will increase by making it more compact, so I think it's a good idea. The jump height may be cut slightly, but I don't think it will change much.

    私はバスケットボールをやっており子供に指導しているのですが、もし可能であればボールを遠くへ飛ばす理論を解説していただけませんか。シュートの距離の出し方という動画はバスケット系のチャンネルでも多く説明ありますが体の構造上の説明はおそらくありません。コントロールも必要なのでただ単に飛ばせばいいという訳では無いのでどこのタイミングで力を入れたらどうなるという理論がわかればコントロールと別に上手く指導できないかと思いました。

    質問なのですが私はスパイクの時によく被ってしまいます💦意識しようとしても今までの癖で強いスパイクが打てないです!何かコツなどはありますか?

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад +2

      コメントありがとうございます!
      被ってしまう自覚があるのに直せないということは、やはり癖がついてしまっているのかもしれません。
      癖を治すには、「何かいいコツを掴んで一発で治す!」というよりは「地道にコツコツ頑張って直していく」というイメージです。
      具体的には、段階的に練習していくことです。
      実際にどんな状態か見てみないとはっきりしたことは言えませんが、例えば、
      ①、ボールを吊るすなどして、まずは立った姿勢で止まったボールを打つ。最も強く打てる体との位置関係を身体に覚え込ませるように、また、ジャンプをしてスパイクとして打つこともイメージして練習します。真横から撮影もして確認すると良いです。
      ②、①で練習として体に覚え込ませたら、さらに高い位置にボールを吊るし(または挟んで固定するなどして)、ジャンプしてスパイク動作を行い、立った姿勢での最も強く打てるポイントで打つ練習をします。これも撮影して、立った姿勢のときのような力の入る位置で打てているか確認します。
      ジャンプの踏み切る位置もテープでマークするなどして確認します。
      ③、②で強く打てるようになったら、実際にトスをあげてもらい(はじめは②で練習した位置で行うとよい)、徐々に正しい位置で打てるように練習していく。
      そして、また元に戻ってしまうようなら、再び①や②に戻って練習していく。
      といった感じです。
      癖を治すのは、ある意味、喫煙者がタバコをやめることと同じようなイメージになります。
      癖を修正している最中に、今まで通りの間違った動作を少しでも繰り返してしまうと(ある程度の期間タバコを吸わずに頑張っていても、たった一本でもタバコを吸ってしまうと)、すぐに元に戻ってしまうのです。
      簡単ではないと思いますが、根気よく頑張ってください!

    Thank you so much for a very useful video! I am a beginner of volleyball, and I learn so much from your series of video about jumping technique, spiking mechanism and footwork for digging spike and saving ball. Now I feel I have great improvement on my volleyball skill. Thank you so much!
    Now I am facing some problem of the timing and postion of spike. I always jump too early or too late when I approach to attack the ball. And more serious problem is I always jump exactly under the ball, not keeping the ball at the upper front postion, causing me always horizontally hitting the ball, can not hit the ball down.
    Do you have any suggestion to dealing this issue? Or do you have time to make a video to talk about it? Thank you!

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад

      Thank you for your comment!
      Regarding the timing and position of hitting the ball, first of all, it is important to be able to hit the ball firmly when it stops. For example, you can hang a ball so that you can jump and hit it when it stops.
      Then, you will learn the best position relative to the ball by adjusting the jumping position.
      Once you can do that, practice along with the toss and you will improve quickly.
      Please, try it.
      Someday, I would like to create an explanation video of such a practice method.

    いつもありがとうございます。
    日ごろ「なんでかなぁ?」思っていたことを今回もしっかり解明していただけたと思ってます。
    バドミントンにおいて小学生たちはサーキュラーのように下からラケットを回して大きく撃つ傾向にあります。
    成長とともに次第にコンパクトに正確に打つ必要が出てきてストレートアームのように打つことも多くなります。
    バレーボールとは逆に進んでいるようですが、今回の動画を見てラケットという道具を使う競技、シャトルが大きく減速する、故にどんなに強いショットを打っても返ってくることが前提であるバドミントンにおいては理にかなった進行方向だと思いました。
    この動画を参考にまた自分なりに考えてみたいと思います。

    adding to your point about reaching top height in 0.4 seconds for circular spike the rough estimation here is that you would need roughly a 28inch/71cm vertical jump for this and your bodyweight does not affect the calculation (air friction does though and that's why this is just an estimation). I believe the first swing you should use if you are just starting is more of a high bow and arrow where your arm goes completely over your head. It’s a technique a lot of middle blockers who have low jumps use, for example Tobias Krick from the German national team uses it. It’s still powerful but more easy to do when you can’t jump high yet.

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад +3

      Yes, I have the same opinion.
      I'm sorry that the definition of beginner is not clear enough.
      For example, if you only play volleyball temporarily for recreational purposes, a straight arm is recommended.
      If you want to continue playing volleyball, I think you should learn bow and arrow from the beginning. And if your jumping ability is low, I think it's better to do it above your head.

    22:05の西田選手のフォームのように、バレー選手は空中で体を反っている時に膝を曲げて、それを伸ばしながら打つ人が多いとおもうのですが、この脚の動きも腹筋(?)などの伸張反射に役立っている動きになるでしょうか?
    またバレーとは関係ありませんが、ワンインチパンチと呼ばれる動きはどのように思われますか?
    ワンインチパンチは、動きの末端(こぶし)の動きを加速させる距離がないにもかかわらず、体の使い方だけでこぶしが瞬時に加速していると思うのですが、あれが可能な理屈がよくわかりません。
    足元からこぶしまで、いろいろな部位のねじりや伸張反射をうまくつなげるかほぼ同時に行っていると思うのですが。

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад +1

      はい、この足の動きは、いくつかの意味があるのですが、
      『スパイクの科学〜スイング編1/2』で説明した①骨盤の回すためと、②身体を持ち上げるような効果を出すため(実際は、身体が持ち上がるわけではなく、重心の位置の移動によって「持ち上がったような感覚になる」という感じです。)、そして、③作用反作用による上半身を前回転させる力を生み出すためです。
      ①②③すべて、作用反作用を利用した動きです。
      伸張反射に役立つかどうかについては、僕はあまり関係ないと考えています。
      ワンインチパンチについては、いずれ解説する予定でした!
      あれは、科学的に可能なパンチだと考えています。ちなみにそのきっかけは、抜重だと考えています。
      抜重して素早く地面を蹴るようにすると、ほぼ止まっているのに大きな地面反発を得ることができるのですが、その地面反発のエネルギーをいろいろな部位の捻れや反射をうまく繋げてコブシへ伝えるイメージです。

    17:10 in this video you said that by core rotation will lead to injury but in previous video you said that ... rotation of core is good to prevent shoulder injury and here you say it leads to injury 🤕
    Plzz explain sir ☺️🙏🙏🙏

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад

      What minutes and seconds of the previous time? Maybe the subtitles are wrong.
      In the previous video, I did not explain that if you do not combine the rotation of the trunk with the movement of lateral bending of the trunk (pulling down the left arm and left shoulder), you will deviate from the zero position and hurt your shoulders. did.
      In other words, deviating from the zero position will hurt your shoulders, so it's important to rotate your torso while tilting your body.
      However, even if you are able to perform these core movements, as your movements improve and your speed increases, it will put a strain on your shoulder joints.
      I am using Google Translate, but there may be other incorrect expressions. If there is anything you do not understand, please contact us.

I usually spike using Arrow form. but now i will change my ways to circular one to see if it helps me in perfecting the spike.

    • @shadowlight5329
      @shadowlight5329 Год назад +1

      He already said that on his previous videos my guy, he said that helps to hit the ball stronger, but isn't worth practice this, it's better you learn according to time (sorry for bad English, hope you understand)

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your comment!
      Shortening your legs while jumping helps make your spikes stronger. However, if you force yourself to bend and straighten, your swing speed may actually decrease.
      I think it's a good idea to start by practicing bending and straightening just your right leg, and gradually improve as your jumping ability improves.

    Many American coaches teach more of spike and arrow and circular movement spike straight away to young kids. Their argument is that they will get stronger and higher in their jump eventually and if they haven't practiced arm swing mechanics from their youth (especially girls that usually don't practice ball throwing) they will not be able to learn it correctly and as they go for more power in their spike they will be more injury prone with the straight arm swing. What is your opinion on this?

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  10 месяцев назад +1

      I also think it's good to practice bow and arrow and circular movements by standing up and practicing serving or throwing the ball. In fact, I make them practice like that.
      However, when hitting spikes by jumping, we do not force the children to use that form, but rather let the children use their instincts.
      The children then naturally modify their form to make it easier for them to hit the ball. Therefore, I do not intentionally teach straight arms.
      I think we have the same idea in that respect.
      However, some instructors teach even players with poor jumping ability to hit balls and arrows in the air. I don't agree with this.
      Most children are able to cope naturally.
      For example, suppose you are holding a baseball.
      If you want to throw that ball as hard as you can, and if you want to throw it as quickly as possible, your arm swing will naturally change.
      In that sense, while teaching them the correct swing, when they jump and hit, I ask them to use a form that is easy to hit.
      Is this an answer?

    • @hoshitore
      @hoshitore  Год назад

      yes! I would like to make a video with such content someday.
      As an example of how to practice,
      If possible, it would be a good idea to practice by hanging the ball from above.
      1. First, find the position where you can hit the ball the hardest while standing, and learn the sense of distance.
      2. Practice with the ball hanging higher so you can jump and hit it at the highest point. At this time, mark the position where you want to take off and analyze where you can take off to hit the ball in the best position, like in the case of #1.
      3.Have them actually raise the toss and practice keeping in mind the take-off position like in step 2.
      It's easy to learn if you practice step by step like this.
      try it!
