    I really like the visual feedback this gives plugin gives you. You can do the same on the note grid. Lately I have been doing polyrythms and there is a really good video of Bitwig mycelium to inspire

    Harmony Bloom looks very interesting indeed, I’ll have a look at that. However, my 2 favourite sequencers are right behind you… I’ve had my MB2S for about four years and it still surprises me and coupled with the SubH & DFAM, things can get very interesting indeed. Great vid dude, cheers!

      Thank you! Indeed those are great machines, tons of fun and experimentation. Best part they are semimodular and can interact with each other

    Ha. I just doent last 60min creating a "mega sequencer" with bitwig, to switch in and out different sequencer source models and midi chains while jamming. My goal was to try and mimic many of the features of the hapax squarp. Getting close! Stepic is an option in the chain, as are two bitwig arps and euclidean sources.

      Bitwig let's you build tons of fun sequencers with all those note effects

    You are on the money, Alex!! My first sequencer was a Roland TB-303 Baseline. After pairing its bass/sequencer with my own playing, I was HOOKED on sequencers and other electronic instruments. And contrary to many people's thinking, it does not stifle 'creativity'... it truly expands one's ability to express the art within themselves. I tend to think of ALL electronic musical inventions as tools (i.e. pencils, ink pens, paint, chalk, paper, canvas, light, sound/noise... etc.), including those tools aided by "AI" (or machine learning). Truth is... since we don't live in "The Matrix", we can turn on or implement as much or as little of it (as artists) as we please or can afford. Ultimately, those of us creating the art make the final judgements.
    Great video, as usual!! 🙂🧡

      Thank you! That's exactlt why I love sequencers. And I agree on the tools idea, specially in the age of A.I. In fact I'm checking out an AI software right now and I plan to make a video about it

    • @Cefshah
      @Cefshah 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@AlexReidStudios For sure!, that would be an interesting video! I think a lot of fear surrounds A.I., but as with nearly every technological advance (and other things in life), the more we know and make 'positive' use of certain technology, the less fear there tends to be about it.

    that was an interesting take on sequencers. i usually avoid them because the moment i have to set up 16 steps with multiple properties (pitch, volume, probability etc) i'm already turned off by how long it will take to do that. piano rolls don't feel like that to me because they don't look like they want you to put something into almost every rectangle. i like about sequencers in plugins tho that they modulate things with sample accurate temposync triggers. you can't always do that with automation and bitwig's modulation system.

    • @AlexReidStudios
      @AlexReidStudios  6 месяцев назад

      For me is faster haha but also different. And that temposync stuff is true, really fun to use it

    i really need to experiment with sequencers more. i am really in the habit of manually programing everything on the piano roll. should change it up a bit i think

      @@AlexReidStudios yeah its definitely different. I think part of why i've shied away from them is when i was first learning stuff i couldnt figure out how to get them to work. much easier nowadays, and i should give them a go again
