The pipe is the same diameter meaning you do not need to have the mass aor flow sensor re-scaled, i.e its gping to read the air entering correctly without a tune. A larger pipe would need a tune

Everybody in this chat, agree there is no possible way of running this without a tune and sure it could be ran, but can it be ran safely?

Does the hood close perfectly fine? The heat shield looks like it’s sticking out from the top

JUST bought me one. Theres no statement on the website of needing a "tune" for it once installed. --i dont have to get car Tuned once i install right?

Correct , you don't need a tune after installing a Cold air intake. Once you have a few mods tho like an exhaust system+ cold air intake you can choose to tune your car to basically use all the mods to their max and work together to give you better performance. Hope that helps.

You will always need a tune after installing a new intake on the WRX from stock despite what the company says. You are completely changing the amount of air intake for the engine. Not only will a tune squeeze every last inch of horsepower out of the intake, it will ensure your car runs smooth and doesn't start throwing rich/lean codes.
