The pipe is the same diameter meaning you do not need to have the mass aor flow sensor re-scaled, i.e its gping to read the air entering correctly without a tune. A larger pipe would need a tune
Correct , you don't need a tune after installing a Cold air intake. Once you have a few mods tho like an exhaust system+ cold air intake you can choose to tune your car to basically use all the mods to their max and work together to give you better performance. Hope that helps.
You will always need a tune after installing a new intake on the WRX from stock despite what the company says. You are completely changing the amount of air intake for the engine. Not only will a tune squeeze every last inch of horsepower out of the intake, it will ensure your car runs smooth and doesn't start throwing rich/lean codes.
@@pushthepanic85yes very much .. dont install wait till u buy all the parts and find a tuner and fix that finally.. lol i been running 2017 sti on bov and AEM intake , turbo inlet pipe oil catch can , then got bored and stopped it over thr and went stage 2 on my mk7 golf r , let me tell you i wanted to see whats gonna happen and drove that sti 35k kilometer pushing it most of the time .. finally like you said had an issue you know what steering rack and oilpump went out got one from scrap and now my brother is enjoying the bov hks sound like never before … you sit thr and tune 😂
