Zane, I got a question... When You say attract "local customers", is it meant also customers being on that place, but not being local? I mean I go a travel agency. So are my clie ts coming for few days in Prague considered by Google as "locals"? Thank You. Katerina
Hey great question Katerina. I generally refer to local traffic and local customers based on the persons location to the business. But that isnt to say if i put a city and cuntry ame into the search that Google wont serve me something as if i was local. The issue is Google will generally use the "city center" or post code area to locate what is local for an outsiders search. So this can make it difficult to appear to external searchers. In your case with a travel business, I guess an office as central as possible to the City centre is going to be a plus. Thats my current understanding since the vicinity location update see these videos - they will really help ruclips.net/video/PMRFa0YGvA4/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/GEzYAZfw4rc/видео.html
@ZanetDesign Thank You Zane. Actually I don't have an office, but I serve the city centre area (historical centre). But the question is when the traveller is already in Prague, but his phone settings are not local, will it serve them a local business?
@@travel2prague_gr awesome question @travel2prague_gr I think ultimately it will be down to th settings on there phone. if location is used on there phone the the maps, browser may serve up different results as it know where they ar standing, whereas if they dont it may be based on the browser location and that could be a home area or country, so its a little down to the user thmselves, does that make sense?
Great video. I'm a service business (mobile notary public) so do you have advice for using that Booking Online button? I need control over what part of the county I'm in and try to book customers close to one another. Could I make this work for me? I have something like a 15-mile radius. Any advice?
I would always take a look at the competition in a nearby city to see what they use for inspiration, as every country maybe different but if its working then the competitive areas is where its going to show. Most businesses i know are using this affiliate.simplybook.me/idevaffiliate.php?id=3813

Great advice Zane, keeping it simple and consistent is the key to success with GBP.
Absolutely! Some important, though obvious factors in that document
The information I'm getting from your channel is really helping me a lot. In 2 weeks, I have ranked and am now in the top 5 videographers in my city

How can we add photos to our updates? I can post text but cannot figure out where to post a photo? As you have yours at 5:02
Are you definitely in updates, there should be a box for photos there, are you using a laptop or phone?
@@ZanetDesign I am using my phone.

Excellent advise. All too often we neglect the low hanging fruit. It’s right there in front of our face!
yes it is quite an issue, easy to miss the most obvious suggestions
