@@MrSL101 unlike proximity which is based on where the searcher is, point 3 is where the searcher uses a keyword for the area. Google will look at th areas based on what Google maps considers the area boundaries, so if you search for a business in Brooklyn New York eg Burger shop in Brooklyn New York. Google maps will show you where it beleives Brooklyn New York is with a defined area, so you would need to be nicely inside that boundary to be considered within that area. its a subtle difference to viscinity searches the following point
1. Primary GMB category
2. Keywords in the business name
3. proximity of GMB address to the IP address of the searcher
4. physical address in the city search
5. Removal of spam listings thru spam fighting. This is for listings who are competing against listings with black hat work done
6. Numerical values of the ratings
7. having additional categories
8. quantity of google reviews
9. getting gmb verified
10. Proximity from the address to the city centre itself

Assuming things done right, how fast can an optimised GBP starts to rank better? Weeks...months?
Great question...BUT Unfortunatley as you may gather that isnt a black or white question. For example if you have a very niche business with little competion then the answer could be days. If you have a large competative category with high search demand it will definitely be months . if every one optimises as well or better than you then the needle cant move. This is why my channel will give you advice that is often unknown but the tips are also following the latest Google guidelines, so assuming this channel is your little secret, then it may well be a lot faster, sorry it doesnt give you a perfect answer, but Google are not wanting to give any help to businesses that arnt prepared to give signals of authenticity and trust and these take consistency and time to show.

I think observation and adaption is key
observes what seems to work from other competitors, you may have to network for that info, also adapt, by understanding what did work , it really is a case of different strategies in different businesses. age country cal also make a difference

What if you have a service that is available nationwide? Do you make multiple business pages?
Without knowing the business its hard to advise. Good to look at your competitors as that may give you a clue. its generally best to focus on organic traffic through SEO rather than local SEO if you want to cover all of the country, or open up local offices in various cities and register each one of those

Hi I was wondering if you could help me? I want to improve my local seo strategy but using Google my business but I don't know if its possible. I've seen that googles guidelines claim that they don't allow virtual offices to be used for Google my business.
I'm sure there are people out there that are using virtual offices in some way for registering a Google my business profile that fit the criteria but I can't find a way of clearly doing this.
Do you know how I can use some location in the UK that I'm not physically located but can visit to get registered on Google my business?

i think you know the deal, as you are right, there is no way. the key is to get an office,xeven if its really small, an office in a location you want to tank could be a brilliant marketing investment if it helps you get a large number of clients. Google definitely don't allow virtual offices

Unless there's a lot of different reviews and value in merging, I would delete the more recent one. To merge, I think it would require Google to do that and from my experience, you can lose a lot of data

native reviews are Google business reviews added through the profile. it's in contrast to 3rd party reviews like Facebook yell etc which also have an impact on your GBP ranking

I live in India, i saw your video's, I request you that whatever you teach, please teach it slowly, because whatever you show on the screen at such a speed, we have to come back and watch it again and again. Your teaching method is good. But you should teach slowly, teach in a way that a simple student can understand. Apologies if you have offended you. But told the truth.
Unfortunatly others have told me to speed up, I guess its not really possible to please all types of audineces, but you can pause and rewind, so i guess thats what you are doing and makes sense
