Yeah..that blue makes it POP in ways that wouldn't be possible in any other configuration!!
The mirrored walls are epic.
20+ years ago, I worked at Teletech for a year or so. On paydays, I'd walk through the internal security doors into the mall, head over to the music store (fyi maybe? can't remember the name), and would buy a CD of whatever new rock/metal release I wanted to listen to at the time. That mall used to be pretty busy... over two decades ago. It's fallen a long way into abandonment since then.
Thanks for another great mall video, Doomie. You and Ace are the best ones on the scene.
Christmas decorations... was that what they were !
Good video. Great footage. Interesting colors in the mall. Thanks for filming.
the owners are pricing everybody out. The rumor is they want to get everybody out and turn it in to a strip mall (which is what most of their properties are)
Sounds about right.
Some people in the dead malls discord have some strong words to say about Namdar. Some out there would go as far as to say that Namdar is a slightly more passionate Moonbeam.
myguitardidyermom212 they said they were turning it into a casino 3 years ago and all of the stores are closing.
@@DoomieGruntVentures Oh, this is definitely nearing "Moonbeam-level dead"! XD
So many great memories here..I live maybe 10 mins from here about 15 years ago my friends an I would go there every Friday and Saturday almost.i hope this mall never closes
I live in uniontown and to see this in somebody else’s video is so cool.
Great documentation of a property that I’m betting is leveled within 4-5 years. I’m 43 and left Uniontown 14 years ago. While watching this video, dozens of long gone stores and stories came to mind. The Christmas train, the baseball card shows, the food court when it was where Burlington was, the fashion shows they did on stage, the Boy Scout festivals, the restaurant in McCrory’s that had a bathroom in the back you had to put a quarter in the door to use. The last rumour I heard last year was that the Hardy’s wanted the acreage to put a casino on? Just what Fayette County can do without. Make the rich richer while overdoses, suicide, divorce and addiction continue to rise. Ideas for repurposing? A community college and trade school would be a good start.
Peachins moved in
There used to be a pizza place here across the GameStop that was pretty good to eat at. It's been closed for at least a few years now.
Its a sad day when the pizza place closes.
Yeah, Rosa Pizza was a good place to eat.
The only way for the mall to survive is for parents to drag their kids away from the video games and hand held devices and drop them off at the mall. "Here, go socialize, meet new people, heres money, go have fun". Also businesses need to listen to consumers instead of taking things into their own hands. More activities= more people. More people= more money.
There was a Value City Department Store that replaced Gee Bee.
That Payless Shoes will be gone soon if it isn't already. You walked by a Subway. What else do you want?
Dennis W subway is gone now
CORRECTION: It appears my sources were wrong, and the cinema is still open according to locals. This helps spark a little more faith in the mall's survival.
Not anymore lol
There's those telltale buckets, but no "wet floor" signs. Between those and all the vacancies, this one is headed to the graveyard.
Why you dissin our mall bruh😂
Burlington leaving a mall is pretty bad, but they have been leaving some of their bad mall locations recently.
This mall looks families is this in Uniontown PA south of Pittsburgh PA on US Route 19. If this was the one im thinking of I have been here and it was dead in 2009.
Uniontown PA, that's the one. The only Uniontown Mall I'm aware of.
@@DoomieGruntVentures the mall was far from dead in '09
Dunham’s closed
