1500 needs a bigger gas tank than 24 gallons.
Yes and lifters that are not made out of butter.
Agreed. Should be 30 gal standard
Yes 🙌 although I may put out a video today. Almost got 800 miles in my LZ0 1500
@darens440 a guy stopped by my house and vented about his new truck issues, while asking if I wanted to sell my 96 k1500. Nope😂
@darens440 get rid of afm/dfm
All for only $99k
Lmao. No shit right.

Don't fret through, they'll have a stripped down work truck version with zero frills for only $69,995!
Hahahhahahahah
@@williamabaker12 -- From what I've been seeing you're not far off on that price.
GM absolutely made cruise control standard in the 2025 chevys because of Andre. 😂
Isn't Andre's truck a 2023? So they waited until 2025 for Andre? Not likely
@@kanenmoffett9539they are saying bcuz of the complaints.
I dunno, my 2017 work truck has cruise control. And that was standard. No idea why it wasn't on Andre's truck... Definitely a fail.
I bet the 2025 Colorado and Canyon will NOT come standard with cruise control, its only on the full sized is my guess.
@@RossMalagarie makes sense. GM wants to keep the smaller Trucks cheap.
Need to get rid of cylinder deactivation
This is a fact. Too much added complexity and too little reliability.
It's easily removed with a programmer
No, need the lifters sorted out.
@mattlimberg5763 they've changed the lifters 2x. Still the same issues
If you want to keep v8s then you also need to live with cylinder deactivation. Or throw out the EPA, good luck with that. The technology works also, it really isn’t a common failure point.
Trailer brake controllers should be standard on ALL trucks. Come on. For that much money.
3.0 duramax need to go in the colorado
As nice as it would be the issue would be fitment.
Case, dont put the micro in the pocket.
Before they pointed it out I saw the "cruise control" and started laughing. I feel somewhat bad for Andre😂
Lost it at Cruise Control standard🤣
A LITTLE too late for Andre😂
The Colorado NEEDS body configuration options. I hate that I can’t get a 4dr or ext cab with a 6-6.5’ bed
Tacoma 🤷♂️
@@volodymyrprosov6134 I’m not paying that much for a small pickup

GM needs to make the front and rear electronic lockers a stand alone option for all 4x4 Silverados.
Literally 99% of buyers will never need nor use front and rear lockers lol
@@NWI_Steel Almost all trucks now days are 4x4 and 99% of buyers don't need or use that. So, if you're going to offer 4x4 at least make sure it's true 4 wheel drive by giving people the locking diffs.....rear and front.
The G80 locker is why I've been a Chevy owner for decades!

the 2.7 uses the camshaft for cylinder deactivation, does not have the 5,3 and 6.2 lifter issues
The fact thay media like TFL, isnt calling our manufacturers for their prices, is a disservice to your fans. And without your fans TFL is nothing. You have a voice we don't.
I believe they have multiple times from what I've viewed
This is not a matter of who can afford these. Its a matter of why should we pay this much.
They should have never gotten rid of the stack headlight design, the new one looks like it has headlights off of a chevy equinox or some boring car. Plus the stacked headlights were the design language for years and years
Well, they aren't anymore. And that is just fine. much better, actually. But, of course, these are all just personal opinions.
It's called change and they look great
The stacked headlights have literally been gone for a decade. The refresh in 2016 looked MUCH better on the 3rd gen trucks
@@agentstevehaines9164 they still had the stack until 2022 when the changed the running light to a switchback turn signal
@@theballintruth3369 okay im thinking of the 14-15 Silverado headlights as stacks. In the 16-18 they went to singles and the 4th gen had singles with the horseshoe under it and the running/turn signal under that. I wouldn't call anything after 2015 a "stacked" headlight at least on the 1500s
I do wish and probably will never happen again but a single cab versions again
Need a tailgate open warning light
Might be my next truck.
I'm not going to those V6TT or I6TT
Good video Andre. Hey brother where’s David?? Miss him and tumbleweed ranch.
I did the research and chose the titan pro4x 5.6 litre v=8 drives nice
Any sign of adaptive cruise and super cruise in lower trim?
Did all the manufacturers really checked what the customers want? I don’t think
They need to improve the seat comfort!!
I like that they're adding more trim levels to the Electric Silverado. I'm waiting for a 2 door version that will fit into my garage and budget with a bi-directional charge port that can back up the power in my house. A solar bed cover would be the cherry on top.
New electric silverado is sick! No, I mean it's sick as in fugly! At least the Ram EV pickups looks like real pickups, both the Ram REV and Ramcharger. Even more so than the Ford. Of course I realize that's not important to everyone.

@@TroySavary What kind of douche bag replies with something like that? Dude grow up.
They should put some padding in the seats
Defintely need to bring back the iconic 350 without cylinder deactivation. 5.3 has been the same power for 10 years.
Bring back an inferior engine? Why?
@@Heatherder -- "inferior engine"? What are you smoking?
Nothing wrong with that. GM’s 5.3l V8 is way more reliable than Toyotas poor excuse of a “V8”. They built boat anchors.
@@COChevyTrainMan1990 the 5.7 liter v8 that was in the Tundra was actually a GM engine. They sold the rights to Toyota
@@peterchauvin7034
Get your facts straight. I did some research on the internet and found this:
Chevrolet never did. Toyota did ask GM, in the 1990s, to supply it the 350/5.7 for use in the then-new T100, but GM basically said no because supply was short.
Also, this concludes that it was never in the Tundra.
And:
The Toyota V8 is an overhead cam (OHC) engine, like practically all other engines today. The GM (Chevrolet) is an overhead valve (OHV) engine.
In conclusion, Chevrolet never sold the 5.7L small block engine to Toyota or any other company. It was strictly for GM. Why would GM sell the greatest and most reliable engine ever produced in the truck industry to Toyota? That makes no sense whatsoever. Toyota always makes really terrible cars and trucks.
Case said on options “you can add a hitch…” does that not come standard on the 99k ev? I looked all over the gm ev website and didn’t see anything saying 2” receiver.
Too bad, Glacier Blue was one of my favorite GM colors. But I'm sure Hoovie is ecstatic for the return of Riptide Blue.
Put a bigger fuel tank in the truck GM!!!
99 bottles of beer on the wall , that’s how many I’d have to drink, and still not send that much on a truck!
Will they have gas particulate filters?
I see a 2500HD with KO3's yesterday. New at a dealer in Miami. I was shocked. I verified on window sticker
It's crazy to me that cruise control is still not 100% standard on Chevys when on a lot of other manufacturers adaptive cruise control is standard for all cars regardless of how low and cheap the car is
Its crazy how people say they want to pick and chose the level of technology their vehicle gets until they actually get to pick and choose ans then they eschew the manufacturer for giving them a choice
@@Heatherder sure that mattered when it was all hardware based. But everything is software base now. It's literally programming
All V8 models will now come with a spare cam and lifter set. It’s stored under the rear seat for easy access for the mechanic that will be doing the rebuild. This rebuild may be required in as little as a few hundred miles so easy access is imperative.
Nothing burger change wise. Hoping GM’s next gen takes care of engine issues, and hope they finally start painting their frames.
Take it from someone in the undercoating racket.....you don't want a painted frame. It was fine years ago when no one knew the difference, but not in today's world.
Not just engines but emissions and electrical. GM doesn't stand behind their products either. I am done with them...
Only an idiot thinks painting frames is a good idea
@@kmonto1971 None of them do, trust me.
What engine issues? Had over 20 since 2018 and never a problem. Had trans problems but never motor problems.
Glacier blue was badass, I hate that they removed it.
The Universal Vehicle Module has customer access upfitter harnesses. Similar to Ford upfitter options
The cruise control should have been standard from the beginning, like a/c should never be an option anymore
You did not mention the fact that the 2500 trail boss will not come with the longer struts that it has on the 1500 trail boss . So that means no 1 1/2 inch lift . I guess they don’t want it compete with the ZR2 . It really means that price wise you are better off just getting the Z71 financially and suspension wise and saving the almost 4k as an extra trim .
My guess about the new GM V8 is it will be sub 300 cubic inches. Think 265,283 etc
No, in fact it may get bigger but less available. They could use a 6.6 gas with an aluminum block...
Smaller engine, lots more money. It's like paying a second mortgage to buy a truck. No thanks!!
My 4.8l is 289 cubic inches. Has 250,000 01 sierra.
I doubt it. The 5.3 is already just adequate and there are fewer and fewer changes they could make to boost power and fuel economy. The only thing they have left is increasing compression.
@@hochhaul -- Don't they still make the 5.7L?
So to summarize, there are no changes except for a few minor color options in the last year (2025) of the current generation Silverado. I'd like to hear more about the new Silverado generation coming in 26 including engines.
I can’t believe they are getting rid of dark ash metallic!!! My 22 Trailboss has that color, and I love it..
I questioned how the 2.7 would do pulling a construction trailer with the excess wind that makes them tough even for the 5.3. If you plan on pulling anything of any size with these engines don’t buy them ! If you just want to drive around town with maybe a gas can in the box fine ! $55,000 for the plan Jane model no thank you. These should be marked down to $35,000 to start. Wake up buyers !
They need to do away with the 2.7L engine! V8's only!
Give me the 9C1 cop package, Z7X 2" Suspension lift package and NC7 Emissions Overide please....
Rough audio.
Yes. Very. All that jiggling around showing moving tiny print was horrible.
My 2024 Silverado 2500 came with K03 tires and 20" wheels
Riptide is coming back?! I loved Riptide/Bermuda blue on gmt 800s
Hoovie is definitely buying one.
Is the L3B TurboMax getting a 10 speed transmission?
Well that still sucks they still aren’t going to do a dual transfer case for the max towing package still.
You can look at the actual Order Guide if ya want to know what the new trims do for the EV.
I just wish there were engine options in the 1500 Regular cab STANDARD bed. Yes, I know there's one in the log bed but that looks like ass.
Are they really dropping Rear Park Assist? That seems like a pretty bad idea on a vehicle that has such poor rear visibility.
There was a rumor that the 1500s could get a bigger screen. Did you guys see an option for that?
Wonder if the regular cab pro models will get the newer interior...
GM needs to give Silverado ZR2 35-37in tires, hydraulic bumpstops, more horsepower, more travel, and a unique interior for these insane prices! Silverado ZR2 is boring in its current form.
All lifted off road trucks are garbage trash and ruined and i’m glad they don’t encourage that idiocy from the factory.
ZR2 is plain ugly and I’m a GM guy
ZR2 is a proper off-road truck. At least it’s looking good for a truck and doesn’t scram I’M A POSIER like the Raptor and TRX who are just boring trucks with body kits.
All 3 are ugly but the Ram and Raptor both scream Poser!
Hopefully, they at least move the column shifter out of the screen view in the HD trucks.
GM press release: You can now find that the TFLANDRE (cruise) code is now standard in all trims. 😂😂
Be sure to cover the 2025 maverick! Whenever the info finally comes out that is.
On the. 5.3 ecotec3 V8 it says “available” dynamic fuel management. Hopefully meaning it’s optional. The 6.2 doesn’t have that wording
Prices way ahead of the money
Bathing still optional at TFL!
Really hope the v8 hybrid is a thing in the upcoming years
You could be onto something
My ideal configuration would be a 1500 with the 6.6 gas from the HD. Larger gas tank from the HD, NHT max towing package, and just an LT trim level. I dont want to drive around a 2500 all the time for infrequent towing but i wont put up with garbage lifters and tiny gas tanks.
You say garbage but the actual failure rate is like less than 1%
@darens440 Have you considered a Nissan Titan XD? That might be closer to what you described!
@@Heatherder It's gotta be a lot higher than that just looking at forums, vehicles for sale listing that work has already been done, ect. No gas savings is worth a massive engine repair at some point. GM had it right in 2006 with the 3rd gen LS V8s. Super reliable. and @omamartinez912 i wouldn't do the Titan because it will be discontinued and i love how easy it is to get parts for GM stuff even 10+ years later. Maybe an F150 if i didnt go for a GM.
Crazy you just don’t have a choice for a more aggressive gear ratio. 3.73 should be standard for zr2 IMO
1500 needs bigger gas tank option . Getting a new truck in few months . Probably a Ram , maybe Chevy if they put in a bigger tank . I like that 6.2 .
Why are they dumping the 10 speed Tran on most configurations and making it an option? I thought the 10 speed was a better unit and didn’t suffer from shudder and surging and really low speeds and downshifts?
GM needs updated Powertrains, they’re getting left in the dust
Have they done anything with AFM in the V8
You can buy programmers that plug into your obd2 port & disable afm/dod crap
Yes, they discontinued AFM in 2019. It’s now DFM😆
Honestly GM needs to do an actual update to their engines. They have the 2nd and 4th (sometimes 3rd) best selling full size trucks in the US. Their v8 engines have essentially been the same since 2009. Sure they increase in power or maybe make it more efficient. I mean RAM has gone to 6 cylinders. I'm not saying go to 6 cylinder engines. But hybridize the v8 engines. Make a smaller displacement engine like a 5.0 pushrod not DOHC. Then hybridize it to make around 500 hp and 500 lb ft of tq. Then add in the 6.2 where it can make 700 hp 700 lb ft of tq.
Another thing is that they need to make features like adaptive cruise control standard. Especially when they have whats arguably the best hands free driving system on the market, which is Super Cruise. They can make adaptive cruise control standard. It just seems like RAM is more willing to try something new while GM is staying stagnant.
GM sells the most trucks for the last 5 years straight. GM offers the most configurations, options, 2 different looks in the truck segment. People want good powertrains that are reliable and get the job done they don’t care about 0-60 times. They want user friendly and multiple configuration options. That’s why GM has sold the most trucks for years and continues to do so. Toyota tried the new engine method and failed miserably
@@Billybob50119
What does that have to do with anything? Did I not say "2nd and 4th (sometimes 3rd)"? Is it not a fact that the Silverado places 2nd in sales? Is it not a fact that that the Sierra typically takes 4th but edges RAM out every so often? CoMmOn SeNsE bEfOrE fAcTs. Where did I state that GM as a whole never sells more trucks then Ford? Where? Oh wait, if you would have used common sense, maybe you would notice that it wasn't mentioned. I still stated facts, it's not like I lied.
Most reliable? Last I checked depending on who you look at. The Tundra still leads in reliability, if not its tied with the Silverado. Also the only engine that's keeping the Silverado relevant when it comes to reliability is the 2.7t. If it wasn't for that the Silverado would be lower on the list. Typically the 2.7t is having less issues with the lifters than either of the V8 counterparts. At least Toyota acknowledges problems with the powertrain. What sort of recall has GM done for the DFM and AFM? Want to know what would fix that issue? A hybrid system where they wouldn't have to use that asinine tech that keeps causing problems with lifters.
@@99-Zulu o you’re going off just a nameplate? 🤣 good job. GM doesn’t care at all if they sell more of a certain nameplate they care they sell the most trucks as an Auto company. Ford just makes excuses since they can’t and the spread is getting more every quarter

I don't believe the next gen V8s show up until 2028 in GM, and that's in the Corvette, so it may be a while before you see ones in the trucks. Probably just updates here and there.
I'd rather they include the 5.3 in the 1500 Custom trim level instead of only 4 cylinder engines. That's a truck I would buy. I don't need or even want all that superfluous stuff they put on the other trim levels.
You keep stepping on the kid.
Is there an order guide for ram too?
GM says let’s give them a zr2 with the same engine that we’ve used for years they’re dumb enough to buy it
Same trucks … over all … damm, love tfl thanks
I had it with leather interior I slip n slide. Call me strange but my favorite trims with Chevy is the RWD Custom with the Dark Essential Package. The cloth interior "bench" seat is my favorite - ditto in the STX XL F-150 - I hate consoles. Hands down the best looking F-150 is the STX crew or quad. Sitting on 20" wheels - Gimme AC, cruise control, and power windows and you can keep the rest. Ditto for the Chevy Custom. Elegant in its simplicity. However at 69 yrs of age I need a power adjustable seat with lumbar. That is the only reason I am now favoring chevy over ford. p.s. I have a 2005 Reg Cab Dodge 1500 Ram Daytona in Tangerine Pearl. 5.7 Hemi - 153,000K with absolutely no quit, I love that motor.

Yeah everyone needs more than 350 horse 😂 give me a break.
No. The 5.3 is not a "dog". It is a really good, smooth. powerful and reliable engine that hums sweetly on the highway and tows reasonable loads without effort. If your goal is to get from 0-60 in less than 6.5 seconds, buy a car. Trucks are for hauling and towing. Not for drag racing.
Will never own another vehicle with any form of cylinder deactivation!
Your problem...it was the way you used it. Do NOT come with an excuse saying I babies it etc etc...
I'm a former ASE Certified Mechanic, and Machinist. I know a thing or two about repairing and maintaining vehicles. Did I baby it, I pulled a boat most weekends during the summer, other weekends a small camper. I used it like a truck is supposed to be used, but didn't abuse it. On the other hand, I didnt just city drive it like so many of these woke, libtard idiots who think there bad ass because they have a truck, you know the fags that have a truck and don't know where the hitch goes let alone know how to back a trailer. Here in my state the interstate I drive has a speed limit of 80MPH. It was ran alot, but not driven to death, and not My truck had 116K on it when the engine went. I tore it down and have rebuilt it. I can confidently tell you that the cylinder deactivation system still worked and operated fine. The crankshaft, cam and lifters were all in excellent condition. The crankshaft only needed a light polish and was good for putting back in service in the rebuild. I have always changed the oil every 4,000 miles. I can also tell you that cylinder deactivation system is complete garbage and that is what caused my engine failure. The cylinders that deactivate are not holding back the combustion pressure they normally withstand under normal operation. These cylinders that are deactivated, begin to load the oil control rings with excessive amounts of engine oil. These series of engines do not have the typical drain back holes or windows as they are sometimes called. Once the rings are loaded full of oil and normal combustion begins again, it produces carbon. The rings carbon up, stick the gaps completely shut, and score the cylinder walls up. It's a common problem and gm had class action lawsuits filled against them for this. So don't unknowingly tell me I don't know why my engine failed as I also rebuilt it and have owned it since it has had 20,000 miles on it. FYI, my 2009 has 193k miles on it, my 2008 has 187k miles and my 2006 CAN Am has over 10K miles on it. None of them have ever had this problem because we're much better built, and doesnt have cylinder deactivation. If you doubt me, I saved the old pistons, if you to want to see proof I can show you. I know many others who are done with crap as well.
Those GM v8 with the active fuel management unless the changed that I will not buy a Gm product hopefully Gm added an actual rear locker instead of that G80
That doesn't leave you much options if you want a V8 these days, just the 5 L in the Ford F-150 and those are not easy to find on the lot.
I’m personally good with the G80. It can almost be added ubiquitously to all their trucks at minimal cost, and it’s as good as a selectable locker for 99% of people. Specialized off road trims with front lockers should have a selectable rear locker as well though.
Less than 1% failure rate in the lifters and boomers will panic 😂
Agree with you 100%.If people want Chevrolet/GMC pickups without any DoD system, abolish the EPA and the Government, of stand behind the manufacturer when they are being forced to pay penalties due to not having DoD.... I think many people here in the comments and those that have suffered with DoD problems have either abused their truck and are not willing to admit it to the mechanics who foolishly believe everything the customer says and thinks the vehicles are all bad ( particularly a recent case of a 24 Denali 6.2 that had a main bearing failure) while not BOTHERING to know what was the reason for the failure ( MAJORITY of the time it is the customer' s fault- large numbers of 6.2s cannot fail at a rate of 10% and a good number are being recalled via a TSB ( pretty sure the 24s will be added at a later date ). Point is, people who want the cylinder deactivation gone DO NOT maintain their trucks properly.
