These reclaimed floating corner shelves were made at the same time as the desktop in my last video - I decided when I started editing that one to make them into two separate videos.
Although I'm not sure what the timber is, it was of excellent quality underneath the old cracked paint. It shows reclaimed wood doesn't have to be rustic! Nothing wrong with rustic though I like that too!
I'm very happy to answer any questions.

Lovely job, beautiful timber. Really enjoying your videos. Happy New Year.
The quality of your work is stunning
Very streamlined and sleek!

Such simple and elegant desing. I love all of your videos! You just earned a fan ;)
Thank you very much!
That's an amazing idea, I'll probably be trying to do it, thanks!
Putting those up against what they call floating shelves these days, yours will last for donkeys years pask. Nice one mate
Beautiful work - well done and thanks for sharing the video!
Awesome! Was planning on doing this soon! I was thinking about running a second, parallel set of overhead storage further in over the garage door. Thinking having the storage entirely joist-supported should be fine for another couple hundred pounds. They are holding up a roof and a second story after all. 5:45
Amazing 😍
very nice work done
So nice
Really neat good job !
Thank you!
Good job.

Superb
i love woodwork
Nicely done! I have this exact project planed for my bathroom, but my shelves were going to have a round leading edge instead of straight across.
Sound good! :)
super!!!
Good thing those walls were square! Very nice work
Thanks Ben! They were square so that made it easy. :) If they weren't I could have planed/sanded to fit or if they weren't too far off I could have gap filled them like I did in my "reclaimed wooden desktop' video.
True :) that reclaimed wood desktop kicked ass too mate!
Is it possible to cut the wood at an angle of for example 85 or 95 degrees in case a corner is not exactly 90 degrees?
Well done!! Did you fasten them into studs or use drywall anchors etc? Nice work!!
that is some seriously beautiful wood
Yes, it was cool to find that underneath the paint. It's Jarrah btw :)
Last summer we were rebuilding a deck, and we got to keep all the lumber of the old deck. The deck was built with 2x4's instead of standard deck boards, and consisted of about 100 8-12ft long 2x4's covered in paint. When we started tearing into it we were in for quite a surprise! It was ALL old growth Redwood, and it was all ours for FREE.
Also glad you were able to figure out what it was. I sifted through all the comments on both videos and the only comment I saw was someone saying it was Beechwood, which I questioned immediately because that seemed way too dark for beech

Esse cara é muito bom
nossa que ideia brilhante,
Sensacional seu vídeo
Consum a lot of wood, and at the end did a big midtake by using the screws
i saw a DIY biscuit joiners!
Nice...
Nice work... ¥
Loves me some lead paint dust!! :-P
The house the wood came from is only 20 years old so would be lead paint free. :)
Hi friend. May I suggest you to add links to your related videos? You should leave them in the description box. For example the video of the build of the portable mortiser would be cool. That way you could get more views, too.
Thank you :)
sound machin veryy nicee😆😆
That looks awesome :) nice work. Do you do this sort of stuff for a living or is it more of a hobby?
Thanks Tristen! I'm doing this for a living. But making these videos is now taking up most of my time! ;)
nice
I could never be a successful woodworker... I only have 4 clamps. :D
Can you use long screws or nails as brackets for floating shelves?
Great work we are looking at doing a similar project what timber did you use for the supports? Thanks
Thanks! The supports could be made from any wood, I used pine if I remember correctly. :)
My walls not as square as yours.....
Because Pask Makes his own walls too
Nice work Neil. Comes up good that Jarrah eh. Was that an Ozito router used as a domino machine I saw? Love the idea and looks to work well mate. Well done.
Cheers! I think you might be right with Jarrah - its not the easiest task differentiating eucalyptus hardwoods. The router, I think, was a Renegade - just a cheapy but works well.
any vid on that domino machine???
Where to buy this corner shelves
I want to make this work my career...please inform me about the way to get trained.
Nice build! Had to cringe when I saw you putting screws through the top though. I was going to subscribe but then I saw that I had already done so. Keep 'em coming.
Perfeito
Nicely done. Every time i do something like this i discover that my walls are not strait because in my country we build houses with thick concrete walls.
Another thing: can you please tell me the reason why you use 8 coats ?!
Thanks! I didn't set out to do 8 coats but I like to get a good build and I just kept adding another until I was happy! :)
@@PaskMakes can you not fast forward and stand in the way to see the most important part? You cant see how to attach these to the walls because its fast forwarded

I'm having trouble downloading the plans. Any suggestions? 3:41
How well I get those martins ?
How much weight it can bears.?
Exact every mm by mm !
How did you attach the wood strips to the drywall please?
I am not the sharpest craftsman.
Thx, Gerry from San Diego, CA
Use drywall sinkers or toggle bolts or find a stud.
beautifully done I doubt frank howth could have done a better job
3:48 Did you screw the supports directly into the drywall?
I saw someone else ask about your "dominoe" machine. My question too.
Do you have a video or can you make one on that contraption? Could never use it at work, but I could at home.
If you do a search on Stumpy Nubs channel you will find a video there - thats were I got the plans. It's a great tool - I've used it heaps over the last couple of years. :)
Thank you. I'll check that out.
How deep is the recess for the wood strips?
muito bom, gostei .mim escrevi no canal .sou do Brasil.
Obrigado! :)
Cool, if only I took shop class in high school :(
👌👌👌👌👌

Great Odin’s Raven, is that a fucking homemade domino?! That thing is the fucking cat’s tits, man, very impressed!
Nice hands sir ,😅
🗨 Which type of wood did you use for this beautiful work? 😃👍
Jarrah! :)
@@PaskMakes Thankyou mr. ,actually this work is my dream, you are really doing a nice job, and you are best is this.. keep going.. again thanks for your creative ideas. :-)
Дома деревянные, углы ровные
What did I learn?
If you want to build a shelf, you must first own a Woodshop with a ton load of equipment.
как у тебя еще пальцы целы.. непонятно.
bt it need lot of tools :(((
Not the good way to think about, I guess.
I'm pretty sure all can be done with basic handle tools.
To much work. I did something similar but since I painted my shelves I just used two sheets of 3/4" panel with pocket hole screws into the walls.
200000 $ machinery for 30 dollar shelf
beautifully done I doubt frank howth could have done a better job
Thank you! I'm sure he could though!
