----- Lawrence "Larry" Semon (February 9, 1889[1] - October 8, 1928) was an American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter during the silent film era. In his day, Semon was considered a major movie comedian, but he is now remembered mainly for working with both Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy before they started working together.
He is also sometimes noted for directing (as well as appearing in) the 1925 silent film The Wizard of Oz, which had a slight influence on the better-known 1939 talkie The Wizard of Oz released by MGM. The film was included in the 2005 three-disc DVD version of the 1939 film, along with other silent Oz movies. - Приколы
I saw this one on silent Sunday nights when we still had turner classic movies
Prime Minister Kruel was always such an intriguing character to me it’s a shame he isn’t featured more prominently in oz media.
Where did the accompanying score come from? It's very intriguing.

36:59 Nooo! There were people in it!
36:18 Why would Larry Semon do anything that breaks?
According to Leonard Maltin's book:"The Great Movie Comedians"..Semon's problem..was that he did everything big in his films..but? there was no real motivation for the characters and the sight gags that drove those scenes in those films..hence..his career as a film comedy performer and craftsman was doomed to failure.
58:14 The Cowardly lion 🦁
Larry Semon was a good, inventive comedian and movie maker, but he had no charm, no charisma. He greatly inspired other movie comedians, but soon disappeared in the shadows of Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd.
Bro Larry is dead
Larry was not that talented.
He did what was expected for the time.
