These folks have so much respect for the Cash family. It's beautiful that they are keeping the house original. They're not trying to make money off this. So respectful.
Of course this house is/could be a money maker. People would definitely pay a fee to tour this house. Just like Elvis's house. Fans would come. K Bergman
How wonderful that this house was restored, especially since Johnny's house burned down. Lots of people have separate bedrooms for reasons like snoring or illness.
Beautiful and the owner has a very big heart so wonderful to bring it all back to the original I once met Johnny Cash mother in his house in a tour with my family back in the 70s I was just a kid but I remember clearly meeting his mother n seeing his house 🏠
This mam and his wife's support behind him has made time stop for a while! Loved his honoring Cash stories, how he honored his own father's missionary work, and his artwork of Christ Return! May the Lord continue to bless this precious couple!
I wanted to add my heartfelt thanks for posting this video. All the years, of effort (and $$$) to get that home restored is truly a work of love. I'm glad they are living there versus it being a museum, keeps it alive. Pray protection over them. The photo album helps show just how much details were addressed. Many thanks again.
Magnificent house of a magnificent star's family, and I'm so grateful to the current owners for keeping it as original as can be as far as practical everyday living goes!...🙂 R.I.P. Johnny Cash...
"Her home going" that is so beautiful!! My Dad loved Johnny Cash, My father in law, Butch loved Johnny Cash and my husband and I adore Johnny Cash. His story was real life not fancy made up.
Thank heavens for these people. They restored this home amazingly. It's so pretty. I love it. They have done amazing work. Sometimes things need to be left alone. This home owner did so awesome. Thank you sir. ❤️
Oh my gosh! I literally savoured every second. There is an emotional connection with his true fans and this tour knowing this was where he last lived. I’ve read every bio on him so it literally came alive in me as you walked around. Thank You so so much!
Spa Guy Thank You, I went and watched! Mother Maybelles husband, I believe they called him Eck. He left Johnny a library of books. Johnny would get up early in am and study the Bible using these books. Do you know what happened to them? They were out of his study before the fire.
@@SpaGuy Illy why o why did he have to tarnish the interview chat with bringing up Col parker's name ! kinna an extraneous tid-bit of bad ppl lol doncha think?
Absolutely Beautiful. I am blown away that this man has completely restored and preserved the cash family home. I hope in the future whoever ends up with it will love and care for it the way his wife and he have done. Sure wish It was me lol. Thanks, spa Guy for taking this video and sharing It with all of us. I sure would love to see him buy Johnny cash's home and rebuild it also. I can't find the words to say how much I enjoyed listening to him talk about the home and all the history. Sure wish I could visit.
Its infuriates me how one could paint over such wood work.....it's great that you spent the $50,000 plus to recover it.....Cash family is forever grateful in heaven.
Beautiful house and beautiful walls. Can't understand why anyone would try to cover it and paint the walls. What an effort done in love to restore the beauty to the home.
WOW, OMG! How very interesting this was! I was enthralled and couldn't take my eyes off anything. I even replayed some parts. Thank y'all for sharing this beautiful, historic home with us. I really admired and loved both Johnny Cash, and June Carter-Cash, and have a ton of their music. God bless y'all!
WOW!! I barely have words to tell what an articulate tour this experience has been for me. KUDOS, to the man that has such a heart as his to be so willing to share this treasure. I will always Love Johnny Cash and his first Lady, June Carter for all that they too, shared so willingly. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! Louise
This was fascinating to watch from beginning all the way to the end. Thank you for sharing, Spa Guy. And I'm touched by the hospitality shown by the couple. Very genuine and kind folks.
Thank you so much for sharing your home! My Dad and I shared a love for Johnny Cash. I lost him in 2012 and I couldn’t help but think of him while watching this. He would have loved all the history and photographs!❤️
What an excellent owner. These are wonderful folks. Letting strangers look around their home while they aren't there is a bit too trusting but like he said, a real Johnny Cash fan that drove all the way out there is usually made up of some special stuff. Couldn't do that now, especially after this video was released but that is truly a fabulous way to treat people. Thanks for an outstanding video. God bless.
What a great video! The owners do truly come across as kind people that enjoy sharing some of their time with others. I would think the Cash family home is in good hands with these folks.
This was my late dad's favorite singer. We went and saw Walk the Line together, He enjoyed that movie. We had the same kitchen counter top in my childhood home in Savannah built 1970
Thank you Spa Guy. I enjoyed watching this video. Elvis will ALWAYS be my favorite super star but I really liked Johnny also. I am so thankful to you for posting such great videos. Be safe and well. God Bless you and your family.
Has to be one of the most informative videos I've seen in a VERY long time....simply amazing and was so very cool for this man to tell the history. Thank you!
Wow! This is amazing!! I absolutely love the historical value of country music and my favorites are Jonny Cash, George Jones and so many more! I am from the same town as George Jones (Saratoga ,Texas)
So I just saw the video about Johnny Cash's California ranch style house he built a lot of similar details The deep triangle shower tubs , the beams, the angle's of the house , the front drive way , trees & plants very similar, the rock walls, the intercom system . I think it would be great to bring the beams back & the closet doors. ? But it's great this guy is keeping the history & the mystery & honoring the Amazing Cash Family ... Thank you...
Amazing sir....I'm gonna end up watching all of your videos. I am only 31 years old but I'm a huge history lover and remembering peoples legacy the good and bad. Love your work!
Thank you Spa Guy for another great video, and Thank You Brian Oxley for sharing all of these great things about the Cash family home. Johnny Cash was an awesome entertainer. I will never understand why people paint the beautiful wood in these homes, especially this home. What in the world were they thinking ? It makes me happy that Brian restored the wood in this home to the way it originally was. I can tell how proud they are of the restoration they have had done and they should be. The home is a big part of history. I admire Johnny Cash for so many things that he did during his life. This has me wondering which songs Johnny recorded at this house. It is so sad that Johnny and June's house burned. Billy, I always wondered if it was Johnny's real house in the movie Walk The Line and now thanks to you I know. Thanks again my friend for all of your great videos, nterviews, and great places you take us to that many of us may never see if you didn't do what you do. I really appreciate you more than you know. God Bless.
I just got back from visiting the homes today. It had been a couple of years. I don’t know why but I am drawn there. I feel peace there. For some reason I am drawn to mama cashs house. When I stand across the road and let ok stop that house I feel nothing but love. Thank you for sharing.
My goodness, these people have really have done a great job. This owner loves it so much he just can’t stop talking. Bless him he’s just so happy about this house. Don’t ask questions because he will be sure you know everything🙌🏻 it’s awesome that they care this much♥️🙌🏻🙏🏻
Very interesting stories. And very nice people. Here I am three years later watching this, so it is new to me. Johnny Cash is certainly not new to me, but this entire story about his family home, etc. is all very new to me. Thanks for sharing!
The Cash family and mine are related. June Carter is my Dad's 3rd cousin. From what I was told by my dad and mom we have several ties to a few of our country music stars. Thank you so much for showing Mama Cash's home.
I worked for the preacher at our church ,, he knew Johnny Cash and in the late 70s early 80s a tornado had hit and tore down some of the Rock with the fencing, we came in and repaired all of that got to meet Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson oh, I was probably 15 years old. I was in high cotton
What a beautiful home. So nice to see a gorgeous cozy home instead of people ruing by renovating and making it a echoing ikea residence that looks the same as every other home.
I'm Tim G Weems Sr I live in Texas and was really amazed at seeing the Weems confederate cemetery on Johnny and June's Hideaway property .thank you so much for sharing all this great history.I was born in Illinois..lol
Wow! Thank you for the video. I’ve driven by the house. When I was a kid I met Johnny Cash’s Mom at a Museum called The House of Cash and took a photo with her. She was such a nice woman and very welcoming to me. ❤
Your home is amazing....each room is unique in its way....the windows have that special view to help your spirt in a special way. I grew up listening to Johnny Cash. I had just purchased at the Walmart in Osceola, AR the Carter Cash Family cookbook....
I had Mama Cash, who waited on me at the gift shop I asked her to sign it and asked her about her favorite recipe. It was an apricot cake. She was a wonderful person. I asked if there was anything Johnnie Cash had signed. She directed me to a Woden train whistle that became one of my children’s favorite toy so they wore off the signature. I figured he would get out of kids playing with it instead of a no touch item.
Dalton Robbins Sorry to make it seem funny. She was working at the gift shop and I bought her cookbook. My son ran around a Tennessee hillside, climbing trees and playing with the train whistle. He has a sister but she was into Care Bears and my little ponies and being on 86 acres my son just had fun outside running around. I don’t know why we weren’t scared to let kids play in the eighties. The whistle had been hand made and sounded just like an old train. I always knew he was ok when I heard it.
Hey spa guy, I had a similar experience back in 2014. Brian Oxley and Johnny's niece and nephew invited me over as well. I got to sit in Johnny's Cadillac and play a couple of guitars of his as well. It was an unforgettable experience and I'm glad you got to experience it as well. I have a video on my channel playing one of the guitars at the house.
Thank you for showing this amazing home from the Cash family. They are some of my favorite people on this planet! I’ve loved Johnny Cash from a little boy. June Carter Cash was one of this nicest people in the world. Thank you again for sharing!
Beautiful and amazing very interesting. GOD BLESS YALL I LIVE IN HENDERSONVILLE. AND THIS HOUSE IS A RARE JEWEL. RIP JHONNY CASH JUNE CARTER CASH. AND FAMILY MEMBERS THAT HAVE PASSED. AMAZING MAN AMAZING MUSIC AMAZING LEGACY. GOD BLESS ALL
I stopped and talked to Johnny's mother once and she was just so down to earth.I don't belive that Johnny's dad was living at that time.Johnny was out of town at the time and she was out in her yard and I just stopped and ask her could I talk to her,she said yes,get out and come up and sat down and lets talk.I wish I had a camera at that moment.
@ 3:18 Nutone was the industry leader in intercoms back then and is still going strong today. I used to live in a house with one of the systems and restored it The house was built in the late 50s and it was part of the original construction. The tubes were still good! All I had to do was replace the electrolytic capacitors, and clean up the tube sockets. These intercom systems were built to last!
Hi Billy, thanks again for this wonderful video! When we were in Hendersonville the last time to visit Johnny and June's gravesite and the lake, we didn't know nothing about this! Your videos adds more and more " to do things" to our list. Thanks again for that. Greetings from Germany again!
Billy, thank you for allowing me to see this great video, I actually have one of the original Mama Cash's cookbooks that she signed, and it has her handwriting on some of the recipes
I personally am a retired Woodworker and the Craftsmanship on that stand alone closet is beautiful ive always been a fan of custom and unusual Architecture and that home has that going on I’m sure it drove the lead Carpenter crazy during the build usually we have approved blueprints to build on and those are approved by anyone involved with the overall design and cover all the bases if you follow those you did things correctly aside from the Woodwork and design that Stone wall is very cool
My Uncle walked right up to Johnny's house in 1977 and Johnny greeted him and they had a great visit. Johnny was just a regular guy and as you can imagine my Uncle was ecstatic..the highlight of our trip thru Tennessee going to Graceland..we got to go into the gatehouse at Graceland (thanks to my mom and Aunt being young and beautiful..he got more than he bargained for when he invited them in..lol) and saw Joe Esposito leaving thru the gates while the guy in the gatehouse told us some great stories..I'd never seen closed circuit T.V.'s before..fascinating for a 9 yr old 💝
Very interesting......Please do more....show us more there on the grounds.....I love that you restored the house back to what it was....can we see the farm house too ? So glad you didn't have music in the background.....it takes away from the video I think and I find it very annoying.....if everyone could just video and tell us what's going on and leave the background music off, so we can hear what the person is saying..... Can you better explain the big closet of some kind in the middle of the room like in front of the window....what was that all about ? Thanks for showing us this home.....loved Johnny Cash..... You mentioned Johnny's house burning down, could we see a picture of it before it burned ? Is this house you are showing the one Johnny had built after his burned down? Would love to see the entire farm & the farm house.....Did Johnny buy this home for his Mom & Dad? Are all of Johnny's siblings living ? I think Johnny & June's Son is into music to right? What is he doing and where is he at at this time? I never hear him mentioned..... Thanks for a great interview showing us this home.....
Thanks for posting. I'm a Johnny Cash fan from the mid sixties growing up in Jamaica. Know his house in Cinnamon Hill, Jamaica. Hope to visit his gravesite and this area soon. Same for Elvis.
I'm in awe of the beauty of this gorgeous home, what beautiful people to have restored and respected this sacred space ❤️
These folks have so much respect for the Cash family. It's beautiful that they are keeping the house original. They're not trying to make money off this. So respectful.

How wonderful that this house was restored, especially since Johnny's house burned down. Lots of people have separate bedrooms for reasons like snoring or illness.
Or laughing hard from shampoo pranks!!! Woke up my husband………. Had to go to the spare bedroom.
Beautiful and the owner has a very big heart so wonderful to bring it all back to the original I once met Johnny Cash mother in his house in a tour with my family back in the 70s I was just a kid but I remember clearly meeting his mother n seeing his house 🏠
A big heart & lots of money...............expensive restoration. But his heart was sure in it. A labor of love. Karen Bergman
I love this house. It’s great it’s been restored. They did a wonderful job. Much history.
He is very proud of this home.Knows everything about it.Awesome!
It's so amazing how respectful he is with this house. Trying to keep everything original is amazing

Johnny’s story included his first wife Vivian and his 4 daughters, which in my mind, was the really powerfully emotional part of his life.
Can you tell this man is a proud owner of music history
SpaGuy, for an Elvis fan, you sure did a good video about Johnny Cash's original home. Love the woodwork, just amazing.
Im a Roy Orbison fan / he lived down the road from Johnny and June , and Roys mother and father lived next door to Mama Cash in the big gray house .
This was truly a special video , thank you Spaguy, and to your friend for restoring history .....R.I.P JOHN and JUNE

Spa Guy , do you have anything on Roy Orbison? Johnny and Roy were close . Johnny and June were God Parents to Roys sons he had with Barbara Orbison.
If Johnny cashes mom got real.sick.5 years ago she could of ben saved today heart valve trouble could of ben fixed easily with today's tecnoligy

Absolutely awesome. Thank you.
Great video. Just stumbled on it. Love the fireplace. Could see something different in it everyday.
YES that fire place is awesome.
Amazing job o got to meet his father ray in the mid 70s i think i was maybe 12 yrs old in the car port area
This was his parents home ,his home burned after he passed away.
Thanks for posting. I'm a Johnny Cash fan from the mid sixties growing up in Jamaica. Know his house in Cinnamon Hill, Jamaica. Hope to visit his gravesite and this area soon. Same for Elvis.
