I love how the two women in the beginning are so right or THINK that they’re so infallible and give silly arguments about booth having survived. What’s important is the TRUTH, nothing else and always.
@@SJW8788 Their status in life shouldn't be considered any more valuable than those who dispute the belief that Booth died in Garrett's barn. There are very good reasons to think he did survive. There was no photograph taken of the corpse, which is incredible considering the enormity of the crime. The two people at the outset of the program should pay heed to Conan Doyle's quote, "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts."
I find MOST of the statements that the ladies make that the Confederacy would see this as a win (if Booth were found to have survived) as quite offensive & incorrect. The South hated Booth for what he had done. The South would have been in far better shape during the so-called "reconstruction" had Lincoln been alive & they knew it. If you are going to put out "supposed" historical videos, then please keep your personal ax-grinding out of them if you try to present yourself as a so-called "expert".
That's correct, but modern-day southerners, who are mostly uneducated, significantly inbred, and proud of their aggressive ignorance towards reality, would bypass this fact and see it as a win for the confederacy.
I heard in another documentary that booth was buried deeper then normal and the family members are buried above him to keep the body from being dug up. 👮♂️
Booth went to school in the house my grandmother graduated 12th grade in 1900. There was 7 people in the graduating class 4 were girls. What’s ironic is that 47 years later she and one maybe 2 sisters bought that house. They lived in it for a number of years until her youngest son moved in with his family. They then bought the one room schoolhouse next door and moved behind the original house. She died when I was 8 years old. The interesting thing about that house was in the dining room the table stood on a platform which was the front of the classroom were the teachers desk was. My uncles family had no idea what that was. In the house she went to school in was Booths initials were carved.
If someone hasn't asked. Question for a doctor who may hopefully see this. Because I just saw this on Netflix... Because the doctor who did the autopsy on Booths body and said he didn't recognize him. Wouldn't it have been because the body was swollen from the gun shot? Again just a question.
That picture at the beginning of this video is capt boyd a southern soldier the north used in catching booth they say he was in the barn not booth when he died the doctor knew booth and said it wasnt him then change his mind under pressure the north knew they didnt have booth but it was to late it was out thst they killed him .they will never let the people know the truth .
JWB is buried away from the walk way , he died April 26 1865 and was noted as saying " useless ...useless " as his last words since he was paralised from the neck down He didn't woo anyone, the women were after him His brother Joseph identified the reminds as JWB He was buried in the BOOTH family plot early April 1869 Edwin Booth lived in Mass and Asia Booth moved to England and died in England her remains are near the walk way
I don't think they proved anything by the lack of DNA matches to the documented Booth descendant. I have my DNA done, along with that of my three siblings. Several cousins and second cousins have also had theirs done. I have one match that I have determined is a descendant of my great-great grandfather's daughter from his previous marriage. I am the only one among my siblings who match this woman. I have only one other 2nd cousin who also shares the DNA with her. Those testing for Booth DNA need more verified Booth descendants, or they need to exhume Booth's alleged body, or they need to get some DNA out of those vertebrae. They don't have enough data. They extract DNA from all kinds of ancient remains, so why are these vertebrae so fragile?
It’s not they are fragile it’s that with any DNA extraction you are going to destroy part of the sample. With bones you grind them into a powder then subject them to a lysis solution. But now you have me thinking of a less invasive method that I might have to propose to my advisor. Thanks for the idea.
Uhm actually I don’t believe your story or you’re withholding information about it, Secondly John Wilkes Booth had a brother and both of their descendants agreed to use his brothers DNA to compare it to John’s DNA to put everything to rest, but again exhuming the allegedly location and body of John has been denied
Why didn't anyone try to stop em when someone yelled that the President is killed or even that was said? People from the theater should have stopped em...I'm just saying
Thank-you, HISTORY CHANNEL! This is very interesting 🤔 (when I clicked it I thought this was part one. I got to the end of this video and was like... wait !! isn’t there more…? Then I remembered, AGAIN, that this is STILL part one! )
Ghost kitties, there is no immediant biological descendents of Abraham Lincoln today at all. There is a few distant 2nd. and 3rd. cousins and I know one of them today but there is no immediant biological descendants at all.
@Frequently Erased4Privacy ..... Yes and no. The booth family was prevented to exhume John's body as his niece and cousins have stated and the bones at Walter Reed medical center had always been prevented from getting a DNA sample. Therefore the Government is stopping it all much like they are with Billy the kid yet there is enough evidence to confirm it or not in both cases. The fact that the American government is preventing the truth to be out will simply never let the world know. There is evidence what we were raised to believe is not the truth and it would be nice to get to the bottom of what the truth actually is. If the Government is telling the truth, in both these cases in American history, it should be done and not hidden. Now where you are wrong is the truth being confirmed, that will never occur. They could even confirm genetics through Edwin booth if Walter Reed would allow it but they won't.
@@supportyourtroopsathletes6460 If they are covering it up which they are now and always have been doing so.....then we already have ALOT of proof that the bones they have of 'Booth' really ARE NOT HIS BONES OR THEY WOULDN'T BE AFRAID OF HAVING THEM TESTED.
According to the book The Lincoln Conspiracy by David Balsiger published in 1977 Booth escaped Washington DC with a smuggler friend named Ed Henson and NOT David Herold. The book also says that Lewis Thornton Powell and Lewis Payne were 2 different people and although Lewis Powell carried out the attack on Steward Lewis Payne was found guilty. The book says confession statements by O'Laughlin and Atzerodt state that Payne and Powell were separate individuals. Evidence indicates that Payne was arrested and framed for his cousin, Powell's evil deed. Is any of this true? These facts in The Lincoln Conspiracy book differ from what I have read in all the other Lincoln Assassination books. The Lincoln Conspiracy book also says a man named James William Boyd was killed in Garrett's barn ant NOT Booth. Is that true?,,.,.
I saw the show and all of the stories were really interesting, but this one about John Wilkes Booth confused me because they thought he may escaped and didn’t die. They did a dna test with possible descents he had after he supposedly escaped. Where did they get the dna of John Wilkes booth? If they got the dna from the man pulled out from the barn, then perhaps those who claimed may be his descendants after his escape would still be possible. If the man pulled out from the barn was not really Booth and another person. Could they find actual descendants of booth, get their dna and then test those of whom supposedly claim to be descendants after Booth escaped?
GENEOLOGY OF BOOTH FAMILY. We find that a Harriet Booth - )ewish - married a Benjamin Booth - chosen one -, and they had a daughter named Harriet. So it certainlywas a family name, at the least. The two Benjamin Booths don't appear to match, one being the son of John and Elizabeth, and the other being the son of Jonathen and Mary, but both come from Eastern England in the same period, so I suspect both were descendants of Ricardo Botha, Esq., who changed his name to Richard Booth in about 1700. In fact, it could be the same John and the same Benjamin, John having two wives and Benjamin being assigned to the wrong mother in one place or the other. In any case, it is a good starting point for anyone who wishes to take this further. And remember, the living descendants of the Booths are now admitting they are Jewish, and this is not too surprising seeing that John Wilkes Booth's great uncle was named Israel. We are also told Junius spoke Hebrew and davened.
ACCORDING to the stories the public have bee fed, is that BOOTH didn't die in a 'fire' like it says in the info box under this video, we have always been fed the info that the soldier's pulled BOOTH out of the burning barn and that it's been stated that BOOTH had been paralyzed by having been shot in the back. WHO KNOWS IF THE STORY ABOCE IS TRUE.
This is a masterful creation. I read a similar book that became a pillar in my personal development. "The Silent Bridge: Echoes of the Unspoken Past" by Emma Wick
Ugh! Two hours to do a reading of DNA tests. The rest of it was common knowledge. What a waste. Discover is just regurgitating information over and over again on it’s many different channels!
Ok lady, stop the obsession with racisim. If he lived on or not has NOTHING to do with hope in the survival of "the lost cause". Also, it would be a small part to test, they make it sound like the it would be the whole thing.
I find this to be in bad taste and that South reference was absolutely ignorant... From the mouths of the far left, but aren't you forgetting what's taking place in the North?
I thought it was a condition of the authorities that released the body for burial to the family, that the grave was not to be marked, and not because it was Edwin's wish.
