Hey you remember when you thought that once Koeman was replaced by Xavi Riqui Puig would be a great player?
Lol I tried to warn you, you guys get to emotional.
Barcelona have a major problem they need to address quickly. They have talented young players who are knocking on the first team but just quite can’t get in yet. Barca need to start loaning those kids out for regular game time and experiences. Not only will it benefit the players but also the club as well. The exposure will be there and this will in turn increase the price tag. No way we should be letting those players go for close to nothing while madrid are reaping in lots of money.
Barca has been doing that a long time. They even include buy back clauses. I never understood why Puig never made it to the first team. Something tells me its his attitude. The potential and skills are there. But for 4 managers to deny him, tells me that there is something else going on. I only say that attitude is the problem because when Pique was caught cheating on Shakira, he was caught partying with Puig. Who knows.
Puig is bad bro
I have read some hateful comment aimed at koeman for not loaning him out but koeman himself stated that puig refused to be loaned out.
@@SuperSayianMessi10 I’m not i know much about him having attitude to justify that but what i know is his frame and work rate. He gets easily dispossessed and also need to work on his positioning. If he’s got a bite like Gavi, we will be here praising him as well.
Puig was overrated! By you internet fans.
Gavi and Pedri showed the level of talent and work rate needed to be. Barca player.
all the Puig fanboys got quiet since every coach did not pick him. When we were saying that he is poor defensively and physically weak many were angry. Pedri came here and up his game built muscle to improve his game ,while puig just chill out in training thinking that he is priviledge. He doesn't want to challenge himself in a team that he has to fight for a position ,he wants to be guaranteed a spot .so go to the MLS.
The sad part was once Gavi came and played better than him under Koeman they still could see, they hoped Xavi would turn him into the second coming.
@@realtalkbarca6764 puig is the problem and when koeman said that he spoke to puig about the areas he had to improve in, the fanboys was saying he dont like puig . But they are not saying xavi doesnt like him and he barely see the field with xavi. I like the guy and I believe he has a special talent but he seems to be lazy. He thought that because he knows the coaches and first team players that this would have got him a spot . Look how gavi and pedri plays ,they track back ,they fight, they tackle etc .Puig can only play when he has the ball ,after that he is of no use and becomes a liability. You know why he has chosen to go to the MLS ?because he thinks he will get a surety spot on a team
He doesn't want to go on loan in la liga because you still have to fight for a place in a team and can end up on the same bench. So go where you think it's easy.
Very sad day for such a talent like him😢. He really deserved better
No he’s was overrated by you internet fans… you guys are horrible at seeing talent..
Gavi and Pedri showed him up! Open your eyes 👀
@@realtalkbarca6764 well who knows. Maybe he was maybe he wasn't but I'm pretty sure he wasn't so poor that he had to go to the MLS at that age

Well I was supporting both barcelona and psg as Messi is now there but I'll be supporting three clubs next season barcelona my darling club, PSG because of Messi and.now LA Galaxy because of puig. I'm actually happy for puig he's going somewhere different and outside his comfort zone wish him all the best.
Well well well. Guess I was 100% correct and you were 100% wrong. As I said years ago, Puig will NEVER be a first-choice first-team Barca player and that every teen will pass him by. Imagine that not a single club in Europe made a serious offer for him, not even a relegation zone club. Gumbau has a career in Europe. Puny Pooj does not, because he is 2nd league level. Either he went back to Barca B or be foisted on MLS for nothing. Go ahead, make your predictable Beetlejuice comment so I can slam you.
@@jjryan1352 As predicted check who has arrived to reply to me without being mentioned it is JJ Ryan aka BEETLE JUICE. How are you bro, do you like being summoned out of your cave. For someone who claims to be an Anti-Puig fan sure spends a lot of time commenting under my posts whenever his name is mentioned, obsessed much. Hope you pick up a new hobby but then again the world wouldn't be complete without an Anti-Puig fan like yourself, stay obsessed bro. Now what you say, you'll slam me, I knew you were obsessed but didn't know you were into those kinds of things like damnnn 🤣🤣🤣. Anyway laterz BEETLE JUICE until next time have a blessed one. #BARCAFORLIFE
Right before Setien was sacked Riqui played really well. One good example of what he can do it shown in the last match of the 19/20 season. After that though Koemann just refused to play him which didn’t allow him to keep developing
He still didn’t work hard enough.
Blaming koeman again for puig? Sorry but he is not good enough. He suggested for him to go on loan but puig refused so many times. He did it to himself
Koeman preferred Illaix Morriba over Riqui Puig
@@rjmaster9309
Koeman gave chance to the traitor moriba see now were his career standing even leipzig manager don't use him
Sorry that’s just a lame excuse. The fact that top clubs in europe aren’t interested in him shows that he’s not that great. And even more so now that he chooses to go to MLS which is a major downgrade in terms of quality. He looks like he’s a good player but in reality i feel like he doesn’t listen to instructions that the Koeman and Xavi gives to him. And he’s not good defensively. Something that’s needed in Barca’s midfield.
I’m glad that puig is coming to la galaxy he can kick star his career and get a good deal in Europe if he puts his mind to it. It’s good to try something different I don’t see anything negative I’m excited to watch him in person.
Great video! Appreciate the summary of his history and player profile.
I do have a few comments
1. I think whether or not this is the "end" of his career really depends on what the player wants. MLS has improved a lot since Beckham showed up and has been exporting many players to Europe in the last 3-5 years, especially young ones like Puig. If he really wants to put in the work and light up MLS, which he should be capable of doing, I could see him getting a transfer back to Europe after a few seasons with the Galaxy. If Barcelona themselves didn't believe this they would not have negotiated a buy back clause or a sell on clause in the contract, as has been reported.
If he is another Gio Dos Santos, who put in 1 good year with the Galaxy and then clearly couldn't be bothered to keep playing hard, then yes this is probably the end of his top level European career.
2. All of the people on this thread saying he "deserved better" are kind of baffling to me. As you say in your video, he must have had offers from other La Liga clubs or other European clubs. The player chose to come to Galaxy, no one forced him to do that.
Kevin being american and is also sincere with puig career.
Class💯
Hi Kevin hope you are doing well 😊
Am sad 😢 for Riqui
And what is happening with Braithwaite and Umtiti
Biggest problem I see with this move is style. MLS is very fast and physical. Not really the best suit for a small, skilled player. Also, having Chicharito at the ends of those passes won't give the same results as having Messi, Lewo, Fati, etc.
True but I'm rooting for riqui though and hope he can find success in la galaxy and earn a move back to Europe. I believe if he stays focused and motivated he can end up at a midtable team in la liga. MLS is slowly becoming a selling league so it can definitely happen puig just has to put in the work.
He is going to train with LeBron and ODB, so he can gain 20lbs. He just needs to become physically strong.
he will be fine, at a lower level he will thrive against anyone, he was the best player on the pitch vs jamaica, with cucerella and dealofeu playing, i think he belongs in europe
@@henrim9348 he had 4 years to do that at Barca facilities, and it is clear he is too lazy to do that.
@@jjryan1352 Not everyone's body matures the same way and at the same pace. If you look at Cucurella today, he didn't look like this 4-5 years ago as a Barca player. Maybe he had too many distractions while at home in Catalonia. The girls, the stardom, the expectations,... etc. Give him 2 years in a new environment and see judge him.
I believe you don't want to face Barcelona you want to leave Europe to play for FC Galaxy you love Barcelona so much I pray do well because I love the guy
I wanted Puig to stay in La Liga or a European team, seems like he is running away in my view. The main problem with Puig is he seems like a player that lacks something, that extra push to elevate his career. I really hope he succeeds where ever he goes and maybe returns one day to Barcelona.
I always liked Riqui Puig but it seems like he’s very content with what he’s got. Sure, he trains and works to get minutes. But if he doesn’t get minutes, he doesn’t care. He doesn’t show that hunger, that drive, that intensity that you see in Pedri or Gavi. He also seems like a party boy, like a Ronaldinho type, except he can’t justify his off field antics because he doesn’t play and when he does, he doesn’t demonstrate something unique that will make him stand out
Don’t compare Puig to Ronaldinho! Ronaldinho won every Trophy including the World Cup…. He had reasons to party .

What a waste for Puig, he had so much potential too bad his attitude got in the way!
Attitude and playing however he wants.
Which attitude?

He is definitely a talent but lacks that tactical sense! His positioning is questionable most of the time. If he haven't got much minutes under a coach like Koeman, it's gonna be impossible to find any minutes under a very tactical minded coach like Xavi
Facts, and fans just love to ignore it. When Puig plays the only thing running in his head is to make a progressive pass as quickly as possible, and when that progressive pass is unsuccessful it leads to a counter most of the time. And his defensive awareness is even worse, he just doesn’t know when to press.
WE WANT LONGER VIDEOS ☝🏼😊
Watch for the upcoming Pique to LA rumors....
Pique...OLD GEEZER !!!
Damn puig deserves better he shouldn’t have gone to the retirement league:/
Galaxy fans are excited about Puig. The ceiling is high. LFG!
He has all opportunities to leave before but he didn’t,if he has decided to leave now then we wish him luck
I wasn’t a fan of Koeman’s playing style but I believe he deserves an apology when it comes on to Puig because we he didn’t not play him people criticize him but it was obvious he was seeing things in training that were not good hence he was benched. Fast forward we now have xavi who pretty much did the same thing by benching him but it seems everyone is finally coming to realization that it wasn’t the coach that was to be blamed but puig’s work ethic seems to be in question and it’s obvious based on his choice to go to the MLS
Moving to LA sounds bad for Barca fans … at the end of the road is GOOD FOR PUIG AND FAMILY ($/good life)…
For L.A. WHO KNOWS IF IS A GOOD MOVE … MLS IS NOT THE BEST LEAGUE BUT IS HARD TO PLAY ….
GOOD LUCK RIQUÍ WE SUPPORT YOU !!! 💪🏽

Yeah MLS wasn't the best choice tbh. But I do wish him the best of luck.
We miss him i like his attacking, barcelona fail to made great midfielder in world with using his good things by reducing weakness Best wishes puig i will follow la galaxy
Todau you saying his weak 😓 how could he even develop without game time
Playing at mls not a bad thing, if he can play great at mls than he got something, but if he cant play well then you know then 😃
This is bad thing about Barca doesn't care about some players and sometimes it will ruin your career
Puig would fit in seria A
Imagine playing and training with the GOAT and champion players of Spain, Europe and the World Cup for 4 SEASONS and doing so bad you couldn't get a single offer from a European club.
He will prove you all wrong
Kelvin to be honest with u I would pick Memphis over Fati and Ferran and Memphis could give us more treat than Auba🤔
Looking at the stats presented by you, I am surprised that the club is hell bent on showing our top mid fielder, De Jong, the way out. I hope the 3rd economic boost solves this issue. Frenkie should stay!
These statistics are skewed, you bring in a player when you're up 3-0, do you expect him to make forward passes or retain possession? Come on! Watch games and understand scenarios don't just stare at "statistics".
What coast is the best coast! There is more to life than football😎😎😎😎😎
Debate serio: Vosotros sí fuerais futbolistas de la edad de Riqui Puig preferiríais jugar en LA Galaxy o en un Getafe/Girona?
Getafe because it's in la Liga and he can have more experience
I don't even understand his move.
They are clubs even in Portugal league.
La Liga and stuffs. French league is even a good league
riqui looking like bojan krkic now
Bojan was way better than him but Bojan choose money over Barcelona
@@el_pollitosir1067 i dont think its about money but krkic and riqui tranfers being the same not enough game time because of some other talented players in the squad
He’s (Puig) upset and wants to be as far away from Barca. The weather and ladies are beautiful and maybe get his masters and phd
Why we should be worried about where he is going? Since he came to the first team didnt gain 1 kg muscle, his work ethic is close to nothing. Its not a surprise that players like Gavi and Pedri overshadowed him, and now even Pablo Torre. Because they want more, train harder. Thats it, he had the best chance of his life, many millions of players dont have this.
💯
Lol finally! People can see

Calm down
Bringing berando and selling puig have no sense
Assumptions make comedians good comedian's.
LoL.. facts are, he's still an excellent player. I heard alot of assumptions ..not alot of conviction to what your trying to prove. You have to remember, MLS has some pretty amazing players, and every year their going off to clubs across Europe.
As to pedri being a 'great player'. he's good. He's a stable player, still really young. Give him a couple more years, he will be a solid player. Gavi as well, still a young player, not a "great player". He may get there, onñy time will tell, if you may. It's exciting to see these players heading to the U.S.
I can’t judge him and his decisions. But if he really leaves to LA Galaxy, I’ll feel I’ve wasted a few years defending him.😔
@LEOMESHI He’s going to MLS, European teams rarely go after players that are in MLS unless they are like an Alphonso Davies talent. And I don’t even think his plan is to bounce back, him going to LA shows he just wants to enjoy life. He refused loan moves multiple times because of the life in Barcelona.
@LEOMESHI Riqui is a player that likes stardom. I knew this because many of players hinted at it in Barcelona RUclips clips but I didn’t want to believe it. Him going there proves just this. Anyways, anything can happen in football. He still has at least a decade in front of him
Kevin I think you’re being a little harsh on the poor guy. He knows why he chose the MLS, maybe he has a plan of coming back to Europe soon so don’t say he’s ending his career. I like the example of Cucurella but I feel like this is not the end of Puig(mark my words), he’ll come back stronger in a season or two.
Okay bro, be honest with me. I'm a barca fan but personally, I didn't see why there such big hype behind Puig. I can see it for Pedri, the kid is class and is essentially a midfield mainstay. I can see it for Gavi, he shows many moments of brilliance and he is so AGGRESSIVE that he literally changes the midfield with his intensity. I just don't see that for Puig. He seems like the kind of player who should be starting for a mid table la Liga club.
Also, unpopular opinion, I dont see the major hype around Fati either. I don't see how any barca fan can honestly look at the state of football right now and say that Fati is better than Vinicius. But that one is for another conversation
I agree with you on Puig, but not on Fati.
I can't say Fati has been stronger than Vinicius overall, but Fati is definitely strong. Look at his personality, bravery, goal scoring intelligence and precision.
@@deusniyonkuru6064 Agreed, Fati hasn’t even been given a full season yet. He’s already scored in El Classico’s and has been scoring some exquisite goals his first game back from relapses. If he stays healthy he will be a force to deal with.
Puig have to left go to la galaxy and come back to Europe
Puig has a lack of work ethic and does not play with tactical sense, his downfall is not a surprise but MLS at 22? I would’ve never thought.
Where did you watch him? He didn't get enough time to play. Ur wrong bro
He likes the nightlife so L.A serves him right.

Koeman came never tried him for once even with the countless injury crisis xavi same what do we expect him to do improve in spirit? And some people are here saying his not physically strong was Andrea inesta physically strong?
Iniesta was much more stronger than Puig. Iniesta didn’t just get knocked down like Puig does constantly.
Under koeman people were like ,koeman is shit for not playing him, he's a fan favourite, etc. Now he's leaving under Xavi and all of a sudden, Puig doesn't have a good attitude, he is not great etc 😒
We keep forgetting that koeman actually gave pedri and Nico chances. Without those chances, they won't be as developed as they are today!

You've realized that Barcelona fans are hypocritical to the point of delusion
Pedri and Nico look to improve themselves, Puig doesn’t, it’s really that simple.

LA Galaxy is the most decorated team in the MLS. Puig can absolutely come to this team and get the attention of major European teams if he does well here. I don't blame the guy for wanting to join a team that would not only give him significant playing time but if he does well would make him a superstar. Seriously if you think MLS is still the pushover nothing league then you haven't been paying attention.
How failed has Laporta been in transfer window
1. We have not been able to sell any player at good cost, we are selling every player for pennies.
2. For buying player we have been paying the price teams have been asking, never ever a penny less then what they ask
What to do if a club is desperate to offload players and eager to sign new players ?
Riqui Bluff...is a LOSER !!!!
I like puig but I can’t deny that his mentality is just not there…I know he loves the club but that’s not enough to be at the top level of football. He should have pushed himself a lot and gotten better at this point in his career. I know koeman didn’t like him and suggested him to go on loan and I honestly feel like he should have taken that advice, if he was playing a mid table club he would be getting experience and minutes but nope he decide to stay after multiple coaches didn’t choose to give him minutes. I honestly think this is a bad move because this will only stagnate his progress and won’t be challenged as much as he would have if he stayed in Europe but oh well it’s his choice at the end of the day. I wish nothing but the best for him and I’ll be watching him in the MLS #DCUNITED! 🥲
