- ➡️ FC Barcelona is looking to bring in Nico Williams and Dani Olmo this summer. Once the Euro Cup wraps up, the Barça management has kicked things into high gear, reaching out to finalize both signings. In fact, within just 24 hours, Deco met with the agents of these two European champions. On Tuesday, he met with Juanma López, Olmo's agent, in Barcelona, and on Wednesday, he had lunch with Félix Tainta, the representative of the youngest of the Williams brothers, at the Palafox Hotel in Zaragoza, as reported by Jijantes. Deco made agreements with both agents, knowing that both players are eager to join Barça.

That’s what we need in that order. We have no LW other than Fati. Merino fits Flick’s style of pivot and adds depth in the “2” of a 4-2-3-1. A solid fullback to rest Kounde and Balde (this could be free already depending on Julian/Fort/etc). Finally Olmo or anyone with that profile (Xavi Simons would be a dream) to supplement Pedri for to injury issues and not pressure Fermin to fill the role perfectly

Olmo played even less than Pedri last season due to injuries. Let's be patient. This year we will stick to CAM with Gundo, Fermin and Pedri, and in a year if we save 60 million for Olmo, then hopefully we will have enough funds for Wirtz, who is much better than Olmo.
Olmo is good value for the price but i don’t like the move because it may stop the transfer of Florian Wirtz or Musiala next season. However I do think Lewandowski and Gundogan will leave next season and that might open spots for those kind of players. I think Barca aren’t sure about Pedro anymore and want to have someone in case of an injury. It makes sense but hopefully doesn’t stop Barca from getting Mikel merino or Frimpong.

He is a pressing machine and I’m not sure neither pedri or gundogan can match his pressing ability and intensity , maybe Fermin but olmo has more quality and seems to be in his prime

How?? There's 2-3 players that can play in that position if pedri is injured. And Olmo also has a serious injury history so he isn't going to be particularly more reliable than pedri. He's a versatile player that could be used to replace Ferran but otherwise it'll be unwise to spend 60m on him knowing we've not reinforced DM position for the last 3 seasons since busquets for some reason 😅
Olmo has big issues with injury and Pedri would be fine if Toni wouldnt have fouled him.

Hold on, let me get this straight…..Barca can spend $120 total for Nico and olmo but still haven’t signed a top defensive midfielder? This club is ran by clowns. Onana would’ve been a spectacular ball stopper and physical presence in the midfielder surrounded by all these technical players. That would’ve given us much more dynamism and unpredictability. I personally value olmo more than Nico . Call me crazy but olmo is a player who has done it for a while and he’s an excellent player supporting and uplifting his teammates continuously. Please bring in both and we will be a team to watch for the next 5 plus years .

There's no money for either at the moment. The commercial deals have been dragging for a long while and it is reported they still need 15 days. In this time Williams could end up in Chelsea or Arsenal.
Olmo dosent make sense to me because we need Williams but we need a defensive pivot we don't have that if we can get a defensive pivot then still get olmo then okay but we need to focus on that postion

We need a great pivot midfielder over an attacking midfielder. We have Pedri, Fermin, Raphina, Darwich and Pablo Torre for this position.
If we have more money to spend than only Nico Williams, I would say get a CDM like Mikel Melino first. He is 40 million and we need him more than Olmo.
But if we can buy Williams, Melino and Olmo, I'd be happy.

It is shocking to me the club haven’t prioritized the signing of a pivot. I think Flick has been convinced by the idea of gavi as a destroyer in training. I am very interested to see how we even fund the signings of nico and olmo since this is going to be a 120 million euro operation most likely. Fati will probably be the center forward behind Lewandowski. Roque will probably be sold or sent on loan.
@@apomalachel8787 the issue is that a roque sale doesnt generate any money FFP wise for the club, due to us buying the player. Ansus sale would be pure profit, which helps us a lot with FFP. Ansu also occupies a similar role that olmo does while roque is our succession plan at the 9 to lewy
