Artorious is just a coward. Ran from his master and now runs from his family’s death. He couldn’t accept their passing and move on, instead he burdens the world with apathy so that they’re spared his pain. He then deludes himself into thinking he’s a martyr for a better world. Instead he’s just tarnishing the memory of his family, and forsaking those who remain. I’d pity him, if he wasn’t this delusional.
i guess i may be the only one who cares or i was too dumb to notice but after this battle artorius lost the use of his arm against those wolfs its subtle but you can see the blood on his arm.
Artorius is the villain, he's the cause of all Velvet's suffering. Sacrificing Laphicet to rid the world of emotion. What kind of fucked up world is that?
Velvet was always the villain... Like seriously she didn't care how many people she caught in the crossfire or fucked over for (albeit justified) revenge, she's like a less fleshed out anime Kratos
The real villains were the seraphs who stayed at the heavens and cursed the seraphs who wanted to coexist with mankind. That curse is what causes humans with too much malevolence to turn into daemons/hellions and seraphs into dragons.
The Laphicet in the party is the reincarnation of her unborn nephew. Like Mikleo from Zestiria, humans who were sacrificed are reborn as Seraphs/Malak.
However, it's because of that that I lost a LOT of respect for Laphicet(original). Yes, he was dying. Yes, he wanted to do something meaningful. Yes, he tried to do something good and asked Artorius to look after her. However, that doesn't mean that he should've pulled the stunt he did (just because he understood the book Artorius was reading, doesn't mean he should automatically assume that something 'good' was going to happen. By the time Laphicet/Phi (Malik) finished translating the copy version of the group, the entire group almost instantly realized how bad sounding that Innominat was). Even if, by some chance, that it did mean something, Velvet would've still been severely depressed by the lost of her brother. Even in the beginning, while Velvet was cheerful, it was clear that she was also severely depressed of what happened to her sister; and that she tried to do everything she could to try to cheer up both Artorius and Laphicet (original). However, both of them went behind her back (regarding her feelings about the matter) and done something irreparable, and kept truths/secrets away from her. Sure, Velvet would've greatly disagreed with it (It's her brother, so of course). However, the fact still stands that both of them (in their own way) completely neglected how she felt (or how she might possibly felt in the future) and kept important secrets from her. Sure, telling Velvet about his illness might make her sad, but at least she would've been prepared for it when he passes. It also doesn't help Laphicet's (original) case when (based on Velvet's tellings of him to the group) that he's shown to not make the best judgment of times (or that his behavior isn't exactly something that helps him prove he's trustworthy). Sure, he kept his illness a secret. However, it doesn't help he sneaks out multiple times doing stuff; and the scene in the beginning (where he decides to go through the woods/forest, where both monsters and daemons are, with him having no combat ability and having a weaken body) just further proves the point. Not going to deny he tried to do the right thing. However, the fact still stands that both him and Artorius completely ignored her feelings, and kept important stuff from her. It's because of this that I can't sympathize with Artorius (like to beat him within an inch of his life), while losing complete respect for Laphicet for pulling the stunt.
Shadow Saber456 well, yeah not telling her anything was wrong, but we have to remember this; he's just a yung kid, one who's already on the brink of death and was going to die son anyway. If it wasn't Artorius, it was going to be time, sooner or later. Never mind the fact that being a kid, he's possibly quite naive and doesn't really know any better. In his mind, he was going to be giving that thing he was already losing for the sake and helping create a better world where his sister could be happy. And again, yeah not telling her anything was wrong, but imagine you're already dying, how are you gonna tell your sister or brother or parents or anyone close to you that you're dying and there's nothing left to do and you've got little time left? these things are not easy, especially not for a little kid. Really, as a matter of fact, it wouldn't surprise if Artorius actually lied to Laphicet by not telling him the full story to manipulate him and then stab him in the back at the last moment. But one way or another, he was going to die ad Velvet was going to lose him, so he probably decided that if he was going out then he might as well try to make that useful (given how many times we see that he feels useless cause he can't do anything but lie in bed watching his sister work her life out for his sake).
@@skyscavenger7732 Being a kid and sick among other things doesn't always excuse their actions, if it's really major of their actions to cause a great reaction. In this case. Laphicet agreed to this, and his actions effectively and greatly destroyed Velvet's life in the process, putting her on this path of vengeance in the first place. He thought only of what he believed would help his sister, but failed to realize the actual consequences of him volunteering to be sacrificed. And the world both him and Artorius would try to create is nothing more than forced dream that still won't bring true happiness. Velvet surely wasn't happy even after she knew the truth. Ironically in his attempt to make her sister happy with his action to become what he is now, he caused her sister great pain. I get why, but he should have lived the rest of his remaining life with his sister with the time he had left. She still would be hurt that she would lose him, but at least she'll be glad that she was with him to the end in that scenario.
Never mind Seres is Velvets sister. I guessed that one after watching the anime. I was more surprised that Laphichet was Artorias's son
+Christian Townsend I know right. This story is very twisted!
The twist is even thought Velvet know Seres is her sis she was forced to devour her.
Son? You mean brother in law? I’m confused lol
@@halamadridpatriotsnationgo1057 The Laphicet in the party is the reincarnation of Artorius' unborn child.

I wonder if it was Melchior and not the villagers who outed Velvet's family
Thats also what I thought, maybe to remind him not to lose sight of their goal.
Would explain why he was there that night
"That's who i am,That's all i am." Shadow called. He wants his text back.
That quote really reminds me of Persona 4.
jermtheleo Oh. Well it IS similiar.
Yes it is. That's why I said it.
I realized that Artorius was voiced by Noctis and Melchior is voiced by Ardyn from FFXV. Coincidence?
+TeriosShadow15 Yeah it is a concidence, but I really did not know that.
I KNEW MELCHIOR CAN'T BE TRUSTED 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠
TeriosShadow15 didnt know that wow
@@lazuardialdi2646 So Ardyn finally convinced Noctis to join by his side.
And Magilou is Jessie in FF7R

+windwaker0rules I thought was the only one who notice that.
Woah! I didn't know Seres was Velvet's sister.
I always had a feeling that Seres was Velvet's sister, the whole game I was playing this game.
That moment Artorious was not the villan but was actually Velvet.
Damn 🤣
How?

So could I compare Velvet to Shadow the Hedgehog alongside Guts from Berserk, Ragna the Bloodedge and Nightmare from Soul Cailbur?
+yoshirocks92 Yeah you can.
Cool.
not really to nightmare though, the guy doesnt care at all about what or who he is
Neither did Velvet closer to the beginning of becoming a therion.
Velvet Crowe just like Ada Clover, Celica Crowe just like Ignis Clover, Artorius Collbrande just like Relius Clover and Laphicet just like Carl Clover
Waait so Velvet is the sister of Celica, and what is laphicet to Velvet then? werent they brothers
+AmuletSong3 No, Laphicet is Velvet's unborn nephew.
Laphi was Velvet's brother, Phi was her nephew. Using Laphicet is just too confusing for this.
Laphicet Crowe is Velvet Crowe's brother. Laphicet Collibrande, the unborn child of Artorius and Cecilia Callibrande, is Velvet's nephew.
The Laphicet in the party is the reincarnation of her unborn nephew.
Like Mikleo from Zestiria, humans who were sacrificed are reborn as Seraphs/Malak.
That doesn't give Artorias right to murdered Velvet's little bro.
+Eli Winston True. That's the reason I hate Artorius.
+jermtheleo ... laphicet volunteered to be the sacrifice because he wanted to do something before he dies from the 12 year sickness.
