Mother Bear and Cubs on Mount Hakuundake, Daisetsuzan.

We were able to see a mother HIGUMA（Brown bear) and her cubs on Mount Hakuundake in the Daisetsuzan mountain range. The very large mother bear and her two lively cubs walked away on the snow.
HIGUMA (brown bears) inhabit the mountains of Hokkaido. In Hokkaido, HIGUMA are also called the gods of the mountains.
In the mountains, you should wear bear bells, carry bear spray, and never approach, startle, or feed the bears.
