Such a strange sight to see streets in white snow. I'm so used to it being grey from dirt. I guess it's because of snowfall?
@@alley4978 Right. In Hokkaido, roads are covered with snow until spring.
@@Muu34-o3h I mean my city's roads also filled with layers of snow, but it's all dirty from cars and sand. I rarely remember seeing pure white, maybe on the outskirt.

Great upload. What camera is being used? I'm arriving to Hokkaido maybe December or January. Was there last year and had fun snowboarding. Not sure what I will do this trip, but I just know what I want to be in Japan when it snows.
@@veo16 Thanks. The camera is a Sony a7Cii and Osmo Pockets3. Still not much snow this year and the ski slopes are opening late, but there will be a lot of snow soon.

Thanks for this video! We are checking the weather every day for Sapporo. We want to buy tickets to Japan for mid-January to make sure we will see a lot of snow and frosty nights. We already visited Japan one year ago, but this time the direction is north! :) Do you live in Sapporo? Do you remember January from the past, which was warm and without snow?
I live in Sapporo. There are rare warm winter seasons. Last season, there were days when it suddenly warmed up in January. I hope it snows a lot when you come to Hokkaido!

The current weather forecast calls for snow on 11/18-19 and possibly snow on 11/22, but it will be very light. If you go to the mountains, you will see snow on the ground.
