This is pretty damn cool. I'd sell my soul to make it 1970 again. The 70s were Paradise, practically indescribable. Seems like America changed more during 70s-90s, than any other period. It's all over now.

it was all over then - - - for the swing fans - in fact it´s not "all" over!
this particular kind of music has vanished almost completely in the meantime, but mind you: since a couple of years there has been a rising interest among young musicians to play good old psychedelic rock again and it´s worthwhile to do a little investigation (did oyu ever try bandcamp for instance?) - of course you won´t get exactly the sound and feel of this, just like this doesn´t have the sound of the 50s, seen?
but i often see old rock fans reject new rock music and it´s so sad to see how many of them have been living in a loop since 50/60 years instead of watching out for cool contemporary music - there has been so incredibly much in all those years...
i´m a trickster: i went into reggae and african rock in the 80s, i went into goa/psytrance in the 90s and i´m into "everything" now and i had an incredibly thrilling musical live ever since i started listening to music in the late 60s, yessss - plus i saw an incredibly vast amount of bands and musicians live, i wouldn´t want to miss nothing of all that!
yay my friend, forward ever (bob marley)
love and greetings from germany 🙋‍♂️

It is never over: it is in your memory, your heart, your very soul, you are responsible for carrying it forward. And never stop listening, you miss so much ☺️ Greetings from a " 1950's child".☹️

addition: btw. i´m a musician since 1971 and i remember well, how difficult and strainy it could be to get a band together, to get the gear and the required room (one of our first rehearsal rooms was in the washkitchen of our guitarist´s mother) a.s.o. - and i also remember, that i had a problem with an overflow of musical ideas, which the bands i was in wouldn´t or couldn´t play - so towards the end of the 70s i started with home recording and i struggled with insufficient gear for many years - i can only praise the digital era for the absolute cool possibilities it offers for amateur musicians - today i have built up my little home studio which cost me a few thousands of euros - in hardware it would be several 10.000s and my house would be full with that stuff... :-)
i´m very happy with that and i can fulfill many dreams i had tried and tried in vain before...
it were cool times, but for me it was definitely not only paradise then...
well, of course i´m talking about the stituation as it was in germany and of course there were still many, many cool things on the way - when i look back i think it is all good the way it was, the way it changed and the way it keeps changing on and on... :-)
yeah - love and peace is still my parole and my musical motto is:
there are as many ways to make and to enjoy music as there are humans!

I can't get over the album cover and the picture that my mind conjures up.
I'm thinking long haired, Steppenwolf like hippies and I'm presented with clean cut frat boys.

I have sneaking hunch that six months later it was down to their shoulders. Most of what people associate with the sixties really didn't happen until the seventies.

Oh yeah, picked up on that Funk vibe. Swamp rock from the Bayou State. Geat drums. Shredding psych guitar. Ooo, wicked shit. Some of that guitar sounded like Terry Kath (Chicago) Cool vocals, perfect for a psych band. I like their acid rock side, but they weren't just heavy. They showed their lighter folk side too. Cool cover of the Byrds" Mr. Spaceman. Lennon/McCartney wrote "It's For You" for UK hit maker Cilla Black in 1964 and it's very interesting that TRM chose that particular song to cover..
    Killer Cajun garage album.

Album covers can be nice but you'd be surprised how many local bands, of that era, had members that looked just like this. Don't judge a book, album, or people, by their appearance.
