I think the realism is insane but I have seen a lot of comments from people saying there doesn’t seem to be enough dynamic on it. I usually slam the dynamics with compression so it’s hard for me to complain about it haha. I wish there were more cymbals though
Thank you! I Actually have another video on how I mix drums using this exact plug in. I linked it down below Check it out if you'd like! I also get asked about live streaming mixes so I might end up doing that soon. ruclips.net/video/vEzPIM85fOk/видео.html
I hate to be the guy that asks for help in a RUclips comment, but I'm stuck. Multi Out makes it where each drum is sending its own signal right? How do I get them to their own tracks to add my own plugins to them? My DAW is Reaper. If you're able to help I'd seriously appreciate it
I put a video up on how I do drums in Ableton and the beginning of it is my set up from Kontakt to individual tracks. Check that first part of the video out and then if you still have problems lmk
13 kicks, 12 snares, 9 hi toms, 8 mid toms, 12 floor toms, 9 cymbals to choose from for crash 1 and 2, 7 cymbals to choose from for crash 3, 6 cymbals to choose from for crash 4, 5 cymbals to choose from for splash 1, 5 cymbals to choose from for splash 2, 9 hi hats, 5 china's for china 1, 8 china's for china 2, 11 rides, 2 bells and a jam block for the bell slot. A great UI, mixer, router, sampler (you can insert your own drum samples) 3 overhead mixer mics, tons of dynamics, dynamic control, perspectives, the list goes on. It's also fairly decent on CPU. It was/is fairly inexpensive as well
It has cymbal choke options for crashes and china's, side stick options, ghost notes, a mean velocity range. It's older, so people tend to overlook it. But man, it's worth trying out. They offer education discounts, etc.
Damn that sounds unreal. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it. I use GGD invasion when I’m working on a project with multiple cymbals and toms but even GGD doesn’t allow you to import your own samples. That might be the coolest selling point for me
I bought this kit a week ago. I love everything about it but the toms and snare have way to few layers so it just sounds pretty machine-gunning. Like the dynamics are the only thing missing 🤌🏻
For the snare there’s actually 2 Rim shots Head hits I use the rim for back beats and the head for any lighter stuff such as fills and ghost notes, hope that helps
Let me know what you think of Counterkit! I personally will be using it often.
No one is talking about the comedic elements of this, and I must say, bravo! This was hilarious and also very professionally done.
Hahaha thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I had to cut 5 minutes of material and choose what I thought was best lol
@@BrendonKPadjasek You did great! Just like you did great on that STRUCTURES EP last year. DAMN!!!
@@MarkLePage thank you my friend. Will keep the hard work coming. Stay posted
I really appreciate the comedy you throw in
Hahaha thank you! I’ve received some mixed reviews on it but I have fun haha
Unreal video ❤
Unreal DRUM TONES
I got some great examples of this kit on my channel. Thanks for the video 🤘
8:53 oh my!!
Haha big difference ! Thanks for watching
That maple snare sounds delicious 🤤😂 Great video Brendon ! The plugin has really nice features and drum sounds.
Hahaha thanks Adrien! I’ll be posting a writing section on Tuesday where you get to see how the drums really shine. And the midi grooves
Maybe you can use it on the next stuff and I’ll already have the midi notes ready 😂
@@BrendonKPadjasek I’d love to but I already bought a synth and a pickup for the 9 strings 😅 maybe I’ll get it later 😏
@@adriengonzalesmusic which synth did you get?
@@BrendonKPadjasek the Quadrantid Swarm made by Eowave, it's a very nice small semi modular synth

My guy !
This kit sounds so great! What’s your opinion on the realism, sound quality and dynamic on this kit compared to something like GGD invasion?

@@BrendonKPadjasek thanks for the honest reply man!!
@thisisflojo no worries at all
I did not know by adding sweet sauce can make the drum sounds more sweater 😂
🐜 armies: Forward march!
Haha now you know the true power of maple syrup
The thing I was surprised to learn in this video was how to say your last name. It hit me like a freight train
Haha to be honest it’s pronounce “Padyasek” but even I don’t say it right
Id be curious to see how you setup your plug-ins for your drum mix! It sounds really good

Can you trigger/play these drums with a middi Controller?
For sure. Which DAW do you use?
@@BrendonKPadjasek GarageBand on mac atm
@@coralismmusic496 ouu I'm unfortunately unversed in Garage Band but I'm able to use it no problem in ableton

It’s easier than typing out the whole system. Which I can if that doesn’t work
Nice, have you tried perfect drums? It's a bit older but has a tooooon of options. I just suck at mixing so I don't have much to showcase 😅
Hahaha I haven’t heard or tried that plug in. More options as in what? Like more drums to choose from?

And maybe I can get an affiliate link for it
