  • Despite all the available technology, an analog notebook and pens are my main tools for maximum productivity; the tools I use every day, and form some of the most important parts of my Everyday Carry - and this video shares my EDC notebook system; how I use my notebook for maximum productivity and breaks down the steps in detail - productivity step by step.

The concept of "productivity" is most often framed in the context of work or school, but ultimately, "productivity" means getting things you want or need to get done, efficiently, effectively, and to completion. To achieve your desired outcomes in all areas of life, both on a micro-level like a single project, or, on a macro-level like fostering a long-term relationship.
Over the past few years, I've honed this notebook productivity system, and I'd love to share the productivity tips and productivity hacks with you, along with why I believe a plain simple notebook is the ultimate tool for how to get what you want out of life.
Of course, I'm biased, but after a lot of time and thought over the past several years, this notebook productivity system is my Rosetta Stone that guides me through life... wow... that was lame and cheesy sounding... but I won't take it back because it's true. I welcome you to watch this video and, if you feel like it's not for you, to still consider honing and creating your own system to be more productive which will lead to greater happiness in your life. After all, aren't all of us to some degree or other always asking ourselves: "How to be happier"?
At the end of the day, I just know that there are things I need to accomplish, and things I want to accomplish, so I'm all ears when it comes to figuring out how to get things done, and beyond that, how to get more done in a day... every day.
If you have any tips on what works for you to be more productive, whether it involves a notebook, app, or anything else, I'd love to know in the comments!

Nope, actually one of the very few ACTUALLY good ones. Precise, streamlined, no fuss, no fancy anything, straight to the point. "Plan it, and get it done". Amazing, you deserve more subscribers.

I hope you can succeed in your goals with RUclips since if this is any indication, you are putting out some seriously good content. Thanks for putting in the incredible effort of breaking down your note taking process. I can tell you have a system that you rely on, and it helps you think and stay organized, and namely, it allows you to suss out erroneous goals. Pretty cool! I use notebooks extremely differently. I work for a startup, which requires procurement, inventory management, coding, research, and a lot learning. My notebooks are a space to flesh out those categories. I can list out things I need, work out a tough algorithm or piece of logic, and remind myself of important things I've learned. But I specifically avoid writing down daily tasks and making Todo lists that pertain to my personal life (maybe you do as well?).
My mentor, who is genuinely one of the smartest people I know, once asked me; "what is your 20 year plan?" I was 22 at the time, and stumbled through an answer that was essentially a ToDo list I tried to come up with on the spot. Before I could ramble out more than 2-3 items, he stopped me and asked a few simple questions; do I want to marry, have children, work for myself, retire early, where I'd like to live, etc. After working out some of those answers, it came down to the fact that I did want to get married, and that I wasn't interested in sacrificing that to make enormous amounts of money, or be famous, or anything surrounding material or vain goals.
He explained to me, that life is a spanning tree, where the best we can do is to create opportunities across different branches. Success depends on your view; or what your specific tree looks like). The trick, is to act on the opportunities that fall within your tree, or to maybe add to its branches. Life is too complicated and dynamic to achieve what you want in life by writing down a personal ToDo list. Like the TedTalk says, you'll wind up at the destination goal, and find you didn't really value it after all.
4 Weeks later I met my girlfriend (now wife), got the job I wanted, and started training professionally in the sport I was playing-shrugging off some other hobbies, and declining to join a couple of 9-5 jobs I applied for straight out of college. I had reduced my 20 year plan to 1-2 years. All of this changed the structure of that tree, but the 20 year plan stayed the same.
I guess the TLDR is; use a notebook as a memory bank, or scratch pad. Use it for task management, but be weary of hard coding in life goals to a page in a book. It could slow you down, or lock you into a commitment going the wrong direction.
Since you did such an excellent job using real life examples, ill toss one in here: Is your 20 year plan, to make $3500/mo from a youtube channel? Probably not.
Its most likely, one branch in the greater plan you described--financial independence, freedom to travel, and working on your own time. However, in the notebook, these goals are sub-bullet points that justify investing in a youtube channel. This is the same pitfall (potentially) as described in the TedTalk. Instead, your 20 year goals, and your investment in your channel have created a branch. A single span which *could* bring you to your 20 year goals. But it doesn't have to. For example, if the youtube platform dies in 10 years, you would consider your todo list failed, since your goal was a profitable youtube channel.
Anyways, this is pretty overkill for a youtube comment. Sorry about that. I don't pretend to assume that an example on your video is the crux of a 20 year plan, but that's my 2 cents. :)

Appreciate your approach very much! Combines many good aspects of GTD and bullet journaling in a very unique way. Seams very down to earth and goal oriented. Like it very much! 🦊

Hey❤️ I may not know you personally however I care about you deeply because I know how much you mean to Jesus Christ The King of ALL CREATION . I want to tell you that Jesus Christ loves you so much, he died for our sins so that whoever believes in him wouldn’t have to perish in hell but instead have eternal life in heaven. You need to understand that HEAVEN and HELL are 1000% REAL they aren’t imaginary , and hell is a horrible place I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. God doesn’t want you to end up there he wants you in heaven and so he is giving you a chance to accept the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ and be saved. Day by Day the world is falling apart because we are literally living in the last days of Earth there is no doubt or debate about it, Jesus Christ is coming faster then you think to bring judgement to the world and to destroy it. This really is URGENT, it’s NOT A JOKE ,Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone, you can be alive one minute and gone the next, please take this opportunity to be on the side of Mercy confess your sins and wicked ways to Jesus , sincerely REPENT/turn away from them, ask for his forgiveness, and be baptized at a real bible believing church- ask him to enter your heart and to be your Lord and Savior before it is too late , truly believe in him and he WILL do it because it is his promise. It’s important that you seek the righteous and Holy path of the Most high God so that you may inherit eternal life and be spared of Hell fire. You can begin a new life in Christ and have a genuine relationship with him, please repent. Jesus changed my life and he will change yours too🥰, He is coming NOW! not SOON- when you least expect it!, therefore repent and make sure you are prepared. May the Lord be with you eternally💕🙏🏾

Bloody hell. I came for the notebook, stayed for the mindset of the why. It’s made me shift my way of thinking of things

Thank you. This blew open GTD for me which I have used for a long time. I think seeing your funnel system on paper helped me a lot, along with how you use your notebook as you are filling it up. I feel like this might have been a missing puzzle piece. I think having the checkpoints creates the momentum I need.
