You guys are awesome. This is one of my favorite Christian metal ballads of all time. First time I have ever heard a reaction. So fire….keep on grinding. How about doing a song from a collaboration with this artist and a few others? It’s called PROJECT AEIGIS - AND THE REST IS MYSTERY.

I always like to see reactions from people that can actually add something to what they are reacting too. In music, that usually means people that can talk about techniques, narrative, etc. But in this case, what you added is a true message from God - adding to a song that always speaks so much to me. Great reaction, guys.

What an awesome video guys!!!! Smokin ! 🔥🔥👍👍
This song has always been one of my favorite songs by Theocracy! So epic in the music, the poetic lyrics and in the story being told!
Great feedback and discussion on the song's music and message, plus personal testimony and sharing! Lol, your dad should be a pastor! (Or is he one already? 👀😁) Or perhaps he's some sort of Biblical teacher. Great insights and discussion from both of you!
A long video to be sure but WELL WORTH the time and very enjoyable watching as well. (Pastor Rob's videos can be pretty long as well, lol Lyrical Resonance's are pretty long too!.)
I liked your dad's shirt 👍. Funny seeing him in a t-shirt while you are always wearing a sweater/hoodie etc.. Makes me wonder just how cold your home is. ❄️🥶🤣
P.S. your dad rocked that hairstyle, now when is it going to be --> YOUR TURN

Thanks! I was honestly really worried about uploading this considering how long it is, I'm glad it works though! This is one of my favorite songs from Theocracy as well btw, it's one of my favorite Christian metal songs in general! Do you have any suggestions for doing reactions with my dad/potentially other friends or family like this in the future? I feel like this is a series that would be fun to do but could also use some improvement.
My dad just completed a seminary thing and he's preached a few sermons at my Church, so he is sort of a pastor lol
Also, it would be really incredible if my channel was big enough that I could be sponsored by Fallen By Nature. If they ever reached out for something like that it would be awesome! Coincidentally Pastor Rob commented on this video btw!

@@Metal777 Here bud, I got a song recommendation for you to react to. It's called "Don't Worry, Be Happy". Ok ok jk.. 🤣😂
Humm, suggestions for a series where you do song reactions with your dad or other family members or friends. I'm guessing these would be videos you would sometimes drop on a random or scheduled basis. Perhaps as an extra video in addition to your normal reaction videos for the week. As far as who, well, you know your friends and family members. So you might have an idea as to who would fit well and enjoy recording that type of video. Your dad of course is, well your dad lol. 😂 Plus he's a gifted speaker as well and you have done two reactions with him already. So he's already on the list! 😁 Guess you'll have to think about it and see who else to add to that series lol. 😃 As far as the series title. Well maybe just kinda the same as your normal videos. "Band name" - "song name" [FRIENDS & FAMILY REACT]
Lol your dad has preached after all! Called it! 😁
Yes it would be awesome if Fallen By Nature sponsored your channel! Keep posting and who knows? Regardless, you'll still be posting and putting out good content! 👍That's awesome that Pastor Rob commented on this video by the way!

Metal is able to approach topics in unique ways and convey hard, brutal truths in a way no other genre can. This doesn't make metal better as other genres can aproach certain topics and emotions better than metal can, but there are very important coversations to be had that no other music can facilitate. Even a lot of the really violent and graphic metal is using that towards something positive (not always). I find that Christian metal has a very unique ability to address the sickness of this world, our own fallen nature, and the constant spiritual war. No other genre is able to really encapsulate the internal struggle to resist temptation for example. Here's some examples of what I'm rambling to get at from another band, Demon Hunter:
    Someone to Hate:
A figure for the closing of time: the antithesis, defined
Threat to faith untrue, I am the enemy of you
All you advocates of Hell, you corruptors of free will
The culling is nigh, better get your fill
    The World is a Thorn:
    Won't bow to man
    Won't bow to government
Won't trust in a failed system of self-fulfilling lust
Won't love a world where my God is mocked
    I defy
This is what you try to sell me
    Subjective nothingness
Pull your sickness from my throat
    Let me breathe the truth
    Let me breathe the truth

Sometimes we suffer the consequences of selfish predominance in relationships w/o God. And then this is not just a story but life itself and the change of the music is bringing us through the different memories of that experience! When we hear a song there is ALWAYS a memory good or bad attached to it!

35:00 - With the caveat that I am not a believer I think I would respectfully disagree there. Other people can and often do tell you uncomfortable truths about yourself because they see the things you are blind to. And I do not believe that a connection to God is necessary for them to do so. It certainly does not hurt, I guess, but one of the marks of a true friend and just a good person in general is that they do not fear to tell you what you do not wish to hear. And the best of them can do it without judgement because that way you are more likely to listen and actually come to grips with those ugly parts of yourself that you have to acknowledge and fight against.
Perhaps attempting to view yourself as God would and truly ransacking yourself to find out what darkness hides within you in order to better yourself is made easier through faith, but I do not think it is a requirement. Whether you are a believer or not facing up to the ugly sides of yourself is not easy, but I do not think faith in a higher power is a must in order to be able to do so.
