- One of John's lost tapes. I separated John's voice from the piano. Then I cleaned the tracks of background noise and made John louder so that he could be heard clearly.

I am listen to this song like 1-2 times everyday!! so good!!!
Unfortunately it's a bit out of tune, otherwise it would be a great project to make a finished song out of it

This is sooooo similar to "Grow old with me" at least the intro. Still beautiful. So many unreleased Lennon songs. Su much potential. So much hate and anger against that bastard that puts such a cruel end to his life. :(
In this time frame John had that rather haunting melancholy piano style. I really wished the last Beatles song had been "Grow Old Along With Me". Great song and so fitting.

As a first young generation ( grew up in 1970s ) of The Beatles fan, as well as the fan of each of the solo band members myself, it's a surprise and a great news to me that more and more unfinished John Lennon song cassette tapes are discovered lately. Now I'm looking forward to seeing Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr get them completed by Beatles version. Hello from Hans of Germany and Australia.
And Dhani Harrison needs to learn lead guitar. Come on Dhani!
And I saw the lads 88 times at the Cavern Club and another 37 times in Hamburg Germany between 1960 and 1962. Used to indulge in a pint or two with them after the shows. Ahhhhh days gone by.

I think you did a great job by cleaning the original demo ! Really nice. Those late demos of John on the piano are so beautiful. ( free as a bird, grow kid with me etc). Something strange is that John was not into church stuff and obviously not going along religion but those late demos (piano/voice) sound kinda sacred, this is a personal feeling but they suit a kind of holy atmosphere, maybe the tempo, the power of the piano, I don’t know..

I think this atmosphere comes from the fact that we only have John's great vocals and a classical piano, without any accompaniment

Look for Ringo’s album “Zoom in” and listen to “Not enough love in the World” and for the Album Ringo 2012 listen to Anthem and Liverpool.
Although it would be nice, it's not going to happen. The final Beatles song has been recorded. However, there are still Beatles songs unreleased.
Never happens, Now and Then released because they already did some job back in 98.
How you make new Beatles record without John and George,it wouldn’t be a Beatles record that’s for sure

Only the beginning. This song is another song by John called Tennesse Tennesse that he changed the lyrics, likewise My Life (Starting Over) and Nature's Child/On The Road To Rishikesh/On The Road To Marrakesh (Jealous Guy)

Some of that melody, yes, at the beginning. The original and superior version of this was "Tennessee," demoed in Jan. 1975 when he'd started to prepare a followup of the great Walls and Bridges, but sadly quit before recording anything properly. "Tennessee," with that great New Orleans-style piano roll heard somewhat in this version, was inspired after he'd seen or read Tennessee Williams' "Streetcar Named Desire." Some Williams terms and phrases were adopted in the song. I wish he'd cut a version of "Tennessee" in 1980, but it didn't fit the "dialog" concept of Double Fantasy. When he mentioned to a late 1980 interviewer doing a solo album, including some reggae, reportedly Yoko glared at him. A band in 2021-22 recorded a studio viersion of "Tennessee," but unfortunately I forget who it was. It was in RUclips.

I feel this one has some kind of Paul Simon feel to it...anywho he nailed that piano mid tempo song thing...again the demo has it all...probably would of drenched it in strings :(
Who said McCartney was the lyrical one? This sounds memorably lyrical to me! There's more than enough here to work up into a full song, with or without AI. Problem is, Now and Then got to number one so equalling this success is a challenge.
I've already tried it, unfortunately his piano is massively out of tune, but at some point I'll have a finished version
@@MusicbyKR Good luck! There's an AI music app which will allow the vocal to be extracted. This could then be re-tuned, etc, etc.

The piano should honestly be not as lowered in the volume, just adds a lot to the demo honestly but still a pretty demo. :-)

@@duraughn It's an early recording from New York, my theory: the piano hasn't really acclimatized yet, that's very important, especially for a piano. If it doesn't have that yet, then it doesn't make sense to tune it because it needs to be tuned again after a day.
