The problem is that this generation is a WHOLE LOT more impatient. Social Media wasn't as big back then so there was greater time flexibility. Nowadays, a big song drops and we glaze about it for like a month then move on to the next thing. Unless people are constantly fed new bits, then it will just die down (or people will declare Drake the winner and call it a day). I think this is what Drake is weaponizing: either Kendrick rushes and put out a good-great diss that is not reality-breaking-expectation-toppling and thus is easily to downplay, or Kendrick takes "too long" to respond and then everyone becomes quick to call him coward and declare Drake the winner.
Bro the internet wasn’t a thing yet at least for music. He took 4 months because he just couldn’t get it released. Rick Ross responded to push-ups before it was even confirmed by Drake to be real. Kendrick taking a week and a half already is just odd when he started it and was the one who was ready to reply before Drake even knew that the diss was coming. Drake took 3 weeks because he was on tour AND he wasn’t ready to reply because he just didn’t know Kendrick was gonna drop it. That’s why Drake is getting impatient because the reply to the reply should be much quicker than the original reply
