You can mix up ketchup, lemon juice, and horseradish, and make shrimp cocktail sauce for dipping the calamari in.
In a real pinch, I mix Heinz or Trader Joe’s ketchup and plain French’s mustard together and the sweet of the ketchup and spice from the mustard actually serve as a milder kind of cocktail sauce when you have none on hand. Really quite good.
Calamari also have tentacles. Some restaurants will fry them up along with the calamari rings and some will leave them out. They are delicious and crispy.
Sourdough Rye Chips were our fave -- we went back for two more bags.
The traditional and authentic way to eat calamari in Greek culture is to simply squeeze some lemon over it. Marinara and other types of dipping sauces are popular in other cultures but not in my Greek culture.
Dip the calamari in marinara!
I would try the rye chips with some sort of dip. Everything else I’ll pass on. Thanks for the review. Enjoy your camping trip.

I don’t know if your Trader Joe’s has it, but mine carries just the Bulgogi beef like a big chunk of it for like a family of four I highly recommend it so yummy you can eat it plain or you can make tacos with it or rice delicious!

Agreed on the chips- they did seem a bit salty to me.
I tried the new peppers too and put them in veggie chili.
That’s a great idea
I love calamari when it’s in a good restaurant and usually get it with the marinara sauce. But I don’t want to cook fish at home because I hate my house to smell like fish. Those peppers did not look appealing at all.

Calamari is gross. It is rubbery and taste like deep friend gum. Leave those beautiful animals alone!
Well, the opposing opinion is that they are delicious. Being Greek, it is and has always been part of our traditional cuisine and a staple at every table.
