I saw W.A. at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago in 1972ish. Great sound! Love the Rocket guitar and excellent playing from the whole band. Also, Bowin' Free reminds me of the beautiful Midwest ladies often with blowing long golden-brown hair in the wind.
What a lovely image. I always dreamt of going to America when I was a kid. The Graduate had something to do with it. I guess it was her hair. Oh. Not Mrs Robinson. Although I would have been as infatuated as Benjamin with that prospect. Keep blowing free. ❤️🤠🎸🪴
I love this band. Martin's band is my favorite between Powell vs Turner. Martin and band have it goin' on New drummer sounds good here. He has swing and is much better suited for Wishbone Ash Music than Mr. Crabtree, who is in the Gavin Harrison/Peart linear style.
What is that second guitarist doing? The front guy hogs all the solos. Even when Andy Powell was in full hogging mode, he let the other guy (whoever it was that month) take a lick or two occasionally. Love the tune but a big part of it was the dual guitar interplay. Better than listening to Coldplay though....
Heck yer cant expect it to be EXACTLY the same after all these years.... just canny to even get this.... not the best Turner line up...but get some grape down yer crop...and you`ll never know :-)
