Thanks for speaking the truth. Today there are no real buyers in the market, all are forced buyers of Mutual funds. You have rightly pointed how crucial gold holdings are, after all it is real wealth. I sense Gold will make a drastic upwards move in next 2 years. Afterall all of the the central banks are buying.

Earlier I was dead against gold but after listening to Alok sir's earlier video, took exposure through SGBs. it is not only hedge for my portfolio but i would say its worth investment.

Possible steps by the government
1. No more SGBs.
2. SGBs purchased from the secondary market will be taxed, the reasoning at that time might be that the tax free contract was between the RBI and the primary buyer.
3. The interest being drastically reduced or withdrawn.

Nice explanation sir. 2 simple questions : Investing in sbg from secondary stock market and holding till maturity is tax free or after each purchase one has to hold 8 yrs from the date of purchase to get tax free benefit. In between it is sold will be considered as Stcg/ Ltcg. Please clear. 2) When you say % of allocation is it invested value or % or current value - as I don’t see gold price coming down historically

Sir in the graph of gold vs interest rates, both coincided at their lows and from there both rose together. Now at present both are coincuding at their highs. So can both fall together going ahead as interest rates are cut?

Sorry of a silly question but i have some allocation in SGB in my demat and if i want to increase it should i buy from the already available in stock exchange , lets assue that SGB will mature in September2030? And if yes , will it give me 2.5% every year and tax free gains when it matures ?
I think u will get interest but the amount is taxable at maturity
The interest received each year tax should be paid and fall under one's own tax slab like FD interest, the amount received on maturity (capital gains) is non taxable
@@charlesprasanna that's with the original SGB which I bought when they were issued by the government, I asked what will happen if I buy from the market as I don't think fresh issue of SGB will come

No logic. In the US there are fractional shares and still companies go for stock splits. 💁🏻♂️ Common sense is rare ... Stock split is done cause it's FAVOURABLE for the company, and not to give benefits to share holders! 🤦🏻♂️
