That 2nd invasion is probably the best invasion on this series so far. Reminded me of good old monster ganks and DS3 days.
Ds3 is still active and better than this
@@obsidian1798 not on pc
@@Bill_9999 cuz the servers are down yea. But lets be honest pvp in ds3 is away more interesting
@@obsidian1798 agreed I'm just saying that ds3 pc servers are down so for now this is the only thing you can get on pc
@@obsidian1798 No.
Just so you know, you never showcased the Flamberge's one-handed R2 attack. It's the one and only Greatsword in the entire game that does a heavy leftward swing for that move.
You should try out the anchor, it's a greatxe that does pure pierce damage and so benefits from the spear talisman
It's also got a particularly wide hitbox and looks VERY funny with sword dance.
Or the pickaxe, which is a great hammer that does pure pierce damage and also powerstances with great axes instead of great hammers
I use that with the jar cannon on my jack sparrow build! Lions claw is my go to ash of war on it
Wtf does spear talisman
@@frutatactica165 when an enemy is attacking their pierce defense drops temporarily, like just for the duration of the attack. Pierce damage done to the enemy during this time is called “counter attack damage”. This effect makes piercing damage very effective at trading, since it’ll do extra during that time. The spear talisman boosts this counter attack damage even further.
Can’t wait for the livestreams to come back! Hope you’re doing well brother
They return tomorrow! I have been good though hope all is well for you as well!
Let's goooo!
Praise the Bro!
I really love the 1.06 update, you've been getting some really great invasions!
Been waiting all day for the new episode and it's the FLAMBERGER?!
This was my second most used weapon in DS3 and 4th most used in ER.
Glad to see the Berger finally get its showcase. Very cool!
My Guy is flabergasted
@@crestfallenwarrior5719 Flambergasted
@@razztastic How did i not think of this. How? Youre a literalic Genius.
This is my favorite video in this series, it has the greatest duel I've ever seen featuring Saga*, the biggest combo in a duel I've seen featuring Crispy* and the worst blunder I have seen in a duel. Great video!
That cape is poppin. It’s hard for me to use banished knight or Nialls leggings despite how good the stats are..it’s the duck feet. Same with the beast champion feet 😂 I end up using scaled armor leggings often for fashion/stats
Insane duels and invasions, one of your best showcases yet.
Been watching these since the DS3 weapon showcase, and I wait everyday for the next one to come out! Keep it up bro!
I love how positive he stays while fighting people. We need more people like you, my friend! Much love
yeah chase is one of the few youtube invaders i have seen who stay respectful and dont shit talk the ones he invade.
He's like the opposite of Oroboro. Uses every cheap tactic possible but cries bullshit if his opponent so much as damaged him.
@@CaptainSkylocke I don't know. Hard to take your word at face value when you're the one acting like a douche about somebody completely unrelated to the comment.
Just a word of advice, not coming off like a prick goes a long way with getting people to take your word on things.
@@yvindvego9404 wasn't there one DS3 invasion he did that pushed him over the edge and made him lose his shit
Those were some really fun duels and invasions, with a lot of tense back-and-forth and great finishes. That second invasion was, as you said, pure chaos and I loved watching it play out. Cheers, and thanks for the great content as always!
I recommend St Trina's Torch for it is unintentional
I feel like it’s time for daggers!
I discovered your channel a week ago and binged many of your weapon showcases and invasion streams.
Flamberge is the weapom I used the most in my first playthrough because I could use fire ashes of war while still getting a blood buildup.
One of the best showcases for one of my favorite weapons, Shoutout to the double slash aow its like it was made for this
It’s time to give an axe some love Chasethebro
Rosus’s Axe or Rotten GreatAxe
Armor set:
Banished knight helm (with hood)
Perfumers robe (no cape)
Your choice gauntlets
Your choice Greaves
That chaotic invasion made my day lol and very fun duels as well. Keep up the great work!
Those were some really awesome invasions, especially that 2nd. Everything I love about invading right there.
Yo. Chase finally won my first battle invading against 3 . Literally cause of your videos . Thanks for helping me better my play, it was more rewarding than I can put in words . Much love !
Very fun fights! It seems like you’re getting more and more skilled opponents as the series goes on
Really great show case Chase! started foolin around with the great mace, definitely fun with chilling mist!
Pretty fun that "Everythings Fine" had something very similar to Losts build he showcased yesterday, with the Omen Cleaver and Wind blade ash. :D
Also very nice duels this time around! The last two weapon showcase videos have been GREAT!
Dude when you jumped that fire at first and came with the heavy attack was freaking gold!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It’d be really cool to see you use the Eclipse Shotel. The AoW grants it Deathblight buildup, and an additional input will trigger an explosion.
Love to watch your videos, they’re so relaxing after a long day. Keep up the good content!
bro that roll catch chain at the end was sick O_o
I'd love love love to see Astel's boss flail, I have never seen anyone else besides me use it lmao. You catch people off guard with the AoW's range pretty often since no one has experience fighting it. Buffs really well and you can one-shot people with the AoW if you hit them with the flail and they panic roll into the aoe
Yesss, the flamberge gang is happy indeed. Great video, Chase! Honestly, every time I'm trying out new play style sooner or later I always find myself gravitating towards dual greatswords playstyle. Those jump attacks and backstep thrusts are just so satisfying to land.
On this note, you really should try out Occult Great Stars with Barbaric Roar, it's a beast! The bleed buildup is about the same as Occult Flamberge, and those charged R2s hit like a truck. Cold or Heavy + Bloodflame are also great options!
Im so happy I found ur channel.. looking forward each day for a new one.. keep it up 🙌
Chase is a staple of the community.
I really love the looks of the Flamberge. I've tried it in a couple of builds with occult for bleed and dex/int for cold with a little bleed. Sadly the AR just isn't enough for me to stick with it. It's not terrible, it's just other greatswords can do both more damage and more bleed with the blood affinity, especially the iron with STR/ARC. I wish it was a bit more damaging because it's my second favorite looking greatsword after Helphen's Steeple.
You make perfect showcase videos and leave out toxicity, good stuff man these are as entertaining as they are educational.
I remember flamberge was really popular back in ds3 because of its weapon art heavy attack (square off I think) and because it was wielded by the unholy menace that was knight hodrick.
Wasn't always unholy, wasn't always holy either. Hodrick is a great character with an amazing questline.
Last combo was poetry in motion
Ahh yes, the bleed claymore!
Keep the awesome work up my guy
Oh, I used the double bleed bonks for a while on my arcane build, they are really nice. A little less AR than the omenkiller greataxes, but the damage is strike instead of standard (or slash, don't remember which one).
The player behind Wham Bam is a friend of mine, and he was so stoked to be included in your showcase vid. He was not aware of how bad his packet loss was (is) lmao
Great videos!
Woo! Finally my weapon pick made it! Glad to see that it seems to be decently strong too, so that's exciting for when I make my own build. Although now I'm left with wondering what to request next lol. Uuuuuh...spiked...spear? I dunno. Basically partizan but with innate bleed and strike damage on the sweeping R2s. For if you don't want to be *quite* as tryhard as dual cross-naginatas
well done Chase; that Mt. Gelmir invasion was the best i've seen in a long time.
Saga though 😯
Awesome duel
Wretch is becoming a regular now
Wow, some top notch duels and invasions in this one. Shows how good the PVP in this game can be at times.
I can always tell when Chase actually starts to worry 😅 when he busts out the Dragon bolt ⚡ pots!
Really fun video man
I missed the chance to try to get my revenge on a greatsword fight, nooo!! Oh well I escape the bleed at least ! =D
Love the video as always =)
The first hunter that came during the Wham Bam invasion was the wizard teammate that died early. They really tried to cheese the summon system after losing to beat one invader 💀
You should try the Monks Flamesword next, very rare that you ever see anyone using it despite how cool it looks
Hello there Chase! Nice video as always! I wanted to ask you if you're also planning to do a series for the spells and incantations from the game, I think it would be a good idea!
Endless content 🤣
That is definitely something that could be interesting as well!
Ooh he could do like a carian sorceries, or gravity sorceries and stuff like that!!
The mt gilmir invasion. The guy had madness, moonveil and rivers of blood on the one build
Love seeing the Roars see use such a fun move imo
My favorite weapon from DS3 welded by my favorite summon in ng+3-7 for reasons.
Would love to see beastmans curved swords recommend on a strength/frostbite build
Wow, the second invasion was just pure chaos and I loved it
I'm a ghost watcher. I watch every stream and vid but this first duel was Insane. Ur opponent knew what he was doing for sure. But the 2nd Invasion felt like my last DS3 invasion. A MOSNTER GANK :D
Love ur positivy in every duel but I'm amazed that you almost win everything. You ever competed in a Darksouls 1vs1 tournament?👀
Much love from a German fellow💪
I love this weapon, this is my go to on my arcane build
19:48 what a dodge, i love elden ring so much
Would love to see some dual great hammer love. Battle Hammer/Rotten BH can be powerful
this was my first run weapon. Flamberge has always had a special place in my heart since dark souls 1.
that wyrm battle was epic
You know what I want to see? Carian Straight Sword. Unique heavy attack has block frames during the wind up and it can be tapped for a lightning-fast vertical chop. You could probably get away with guarding with it for counter attacks with the heavily with the Greatshield Talisman to reduce the danger of blocking with a weapon, and it also uniquely gives you the ability to block while stanced up with dual Straight Swords, something I think a lot of duelists would be super unprepared for.
No Link, but this was one of the best if not the best showcase yet, and I'm glad the other comments agree with me.
Highly recommend the a Crescent Moon Axe for one of your showcases. It has a unique heavy attack that's only shared with Godrick's Great axe.
Iirc it's a quality scaling but I've been having a lot of good use with it Heavy or Cold Infused
I like that in the 2nd Invasion the First blue summoned was the guy's phantom that died first
That no damage backstab was because the host dodged right before the backstab animation caught him. Kinda like how you can dodge the bleed and frostbite procs by dodging right before the proc.
8:49 samurai moment
The Flamberge was my favorite weapon in DS3. I’m sad that there’s no more slash damage, but it’s probably a good thing there’s no more glitched thrust attack. It’s still a dang good weapon though.
I’m doing a cold build with it right now and it is slaying. Doesn’t get the bleed proc often, but just having some bleed atop of frost buildup can send people into panic mode. It also has solid damage and is one of the longest greatswords.
try buffing it with bloodflame blade or seppeku
@@sametekiz3709 You can’t use those on a Cold Flamberge.
You should try the great omenkiller cleavers i'm curious if an occult build would also be best on those!
Watching Chase cheat death has truly become an ER pastime
Such a beautiful sword! It is a SIN that they gave this beauty the basic ground-pounding greatsword animations...
Just imagine this glorious blade used with the finesse and grace of the knight's greatsword animation!
I can't even use the flamberge 2-handed because those stock, clumsy animations irk me so damn much...
Virgin I hate the greatsword moveset vs the chad “I don’t care, it looks cool as hell anyway and the normal moveset is better”
The holy knight Hodrick cosplay, it sings to me
Seppuku Occult Flamberge, it's what's for dinner ;p
shame the flamberge doesn't have a sheath, that end to the duel with Vei would have been perfect for some anime slow sheath action xD
YOOOOOOOOO, THE FLAMBERG! Thank you so much
Occult / arcane is nuts with this weapon too. By far my favorite weapon.
I'd really like to see chase use the One-Eyed Greatshield. The Ash of war is super long but it can hit pretty hard so i think it'd be funny to watch. You can also roll catch with it.
Flamberge was the single best weapon in ds3 that weapon art was crisp
Really good for powerstanced Occult build. Get 220 bleed per l1 and about 650ar at 75-80 Arcane. Plus the wide long slashes and low requirements.
Chase got me worried, thought I might go a day without one of his videos. Great work though Chase
Do you know if dual wielding a weapon does more poise damage, or if 2handing does more or similar?
that last invasion, omg, perfect, virtuoso...
That duel with saga was amazing.
awesome vid chase! i was just wondering though, when do you do these invasions? i would love to join in!
I finally realized what felt off about Elden Ring to me when compared to DS2+DS3.
Dark Damage doesn't exist.
I knew from launch that it didn't exist, but the game feels weird without it. You'd think Occult Infusions, after traditionally dealing Magic damage in DS1, would take over for "Dark Infusion" and deal Dark Damage.
I love what it currently does, but we also had Hollow Infusions that scaled with Luck in DS3 so it isn't like we couldn't have had both Occult and Dark.
Even Blackflame dealing Fire instead of Dark is wild to me.
There is gold instead of dark, so.. yeah :D
The game itself would have needed internal rewriting to accommodate an extra native damage type. Holy damage is just renamed dark damage, it's nothing but a name + vfx change. For whatever reason, none of the settings for holy/dark group with the other damage types (most of the dark/holy stuff is bolted to the end of a setting for a weapon, rather than physical or fire damage which is called up very early)... so while it is clear that it is possible to do, fromsoft likely refrains from adding damage types this way to keep potential instances of spaghetti code + inconsistent damage calls as low as possible.
While these things already exist, adding more damage types the standard way would add to existing problems.
This and the golden halberd are my favorite weapons in the game
My second favorite weapon with cold wild strike. First is club.
i was playing elden ring and watching in the background, for some reason it lagged for the entire maliketh fight i was helping with and once it was over i suddenly heard your voice which made me jump for a second
That Saga duel was cinematic af.
The grin on my face when I saw my favorite DS3 weapon..
1handed R1 and R2 mixups = Art
Finally the Occult Famberge. I called this one a while back
When I use the flamberge I like to alternate the one and two hands for roll catches it catches people off guard
I'm sure there are a lot of folks named Deez, but you did fight one recently!
You can also put Double Slash on the Flamberge
Really wish this got the smoother "Knight's Greatsword" moveset
Crispy took a 7 hit (or 8 if count both swards) combo from Chase.
yoo chase id like to see you use sword of night and flame. It might be good powerstanced with holy or magic straight sword, and you might be able to pull the ash of war off with a phalanx spell and magic glintblades. I’ve hit a bunch of people with rannis moon spell if they rush me after i cast those spells, so i feel like it could be pulled of with the sword as well.
My favorite Greatsword by far, the only contender is Helphens Steeple (for obvious reasons) , just looks awesome
Just recently started watching your videos, and I'm enjoying the showcases so far. Just wondering though, do you ever loose? It would be a more complete showcase, IMO, if you showed what builds/weapons you have trouble with. Keep up the great work though.
Could you showcase the Bloody Helice next? The ash of war startup is more akin to a dodge, so you could bait into the stab.
Still waiting to see that Ringed Finger. Full Mushroom with an octuspus helm and a jelly shield if you use the anchor with I have seen many people request. Gotta be a man of the sea.
love to see rotten hammer or watchdog staff
