Malia or Mallia is a coastal town and a former municipality in the northeast corner of the Heraklion regional unit in Crete, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Hersonissos, of which it is a municipal unit. It lies 34 kilometers east of Heraklion, the Cretan capital city.
On the 8th of june, I will come to Malia for two weeks. I look forward to chill on the beautful beach, visit the old town with its tavernas, have a walk at the port and watch the boats go by... and of course, I also look forward to the crazy and exciting nightlife :-) With my age of 35 I'm not feeling too old for that. I am sure that it will be a great holiday. Thank you so much for your video; it helps me to survive the last days at work ;-) Greetings from Germany!

@@zameerpactyan I visit Mália twice a year for over a month each time. Although i'm too old for the strip, i relax a little more east (near Sisi). I just love the people over there. Thanks for the video, hope to see the 2nd part of Mália from you!

Yes they are good for swimming!!

Malia and Hersonissos are quite bad and "touristy" places i would really avoid. Of course there are very nice spots to find there. But i strongly suggest staying at chania, rethymnon or agios nikolaos (the center-lake region)
Ive heard rumors that malia and hersonissos want to change into a cultural region instead of a "ballermann" image.
Hope they will do that.
