    I picked one of these up today and put it on a Shakespear Micro 5'6 with 6 pound mono and hit a swampy creek with some beetle spins. Not an expensive setup at all but very efficient and a lot fun. Caught some bluegill and good eating size bass that made for a good fight. Absolutely loved that combo for what I was doing and it's sure to see many more trips.

    I've been fishing with Shimano for literally decades. Great reels for low cost. Gotta love the Quickfires.

      It’s a solid set up for trout. Doesn’t break the bank which is nice but definitely quality.

    The Shimano Sienna used to be my go to reel, super effective for a great price 🙌 great video brother 👌

    Closest I get to ultralight reels is 4000 size. I have a sienna and multiple Penn reels.

      @@RamonOutdoors most of my reels are 6000 up to 10000 size with 60 to 100lb braid. Big catfish don’t stand a chance.

      @@RamonOutdoors ended up going with the Legalis. More than I wanted to spend, but ice is melted and I really want to get my new rod on the water. My 50 size quantum just wasn’t going to cut it. I will say this, I did notice that rounded top lip you were talking about. Never noticed that on a spinning reel before.

      @@jessiehoch7541 it’s nice and I can see how it helps cast out better. None of my uglystik reels have the lip and I have issues sometimes.

    You do not get 5 yards of line in with one turn of the handle ,more like 2 feet of line.

      @@RamonOutdoors Yes i know,one turn of the handle = five turns of the rotor. What do you think of the reels ? I'm thinking of getting a 2000 size to go on my Korum Snapper so-solid 7ft spinning rod.
