@Zakai Kamdyn Yup, I've been using flixzone for since december myself :D
Lea is like the Phillipina version of Julie Andrews to me! So classy and just keeps getting more beautiful!
She really is..... Never saw that connection until you mentioned it!
Or liz callaway
Filipina
She's like wine, she gets better as she ages.
@@pastense sorry about the spelling! I'll get it right the next time! At least I didn't put an o at the end!
The host is such a nice person. Very professional. She's really into her.. no dramas. No act..
Lea is one of a kind. I can never get sick of listening to her. She's smart, kind, genuine, witty and one talented artist. Glad to be alive in her generation.
Laura is AWESOME in interviews None of those usual awkward moments. Would definitely love to see more of her
She's so pretty, on top of being talented.
Great interview transitions throughout, it is always a pleasure when you can tell that the person is a genuine fan of the interviewee. She fluidly guided the conversation and was truly engaged with Lea's responses. I admired her use of gentle segues instead of shifting gears abruptly--very organic and flowing as opposed to stop-and-go from one unrelated subject to the next which makes for a pretty dry and dull conversation and happens way too often in showbiz.
"Asian don't raisin" - first I heard that ever! I dig it! And I'm Filipina too.
Dame Lea Salonga always proud Filipina, not a single scandal in her life, not a foul word from her mouth ever spoken. All her career based on her talent, hard work and professionalism. She makes every song sound so graceful and sweet. A true Princess.
she's always such a good interviewer
She's always such a good interview.elw! Ma'am Lea.
she is so beautiful and very excellent voice 😍
The only person who can hit me in the face and I wouldn't question it. She is beyond definition! I accepted how I wasn't born with a smudge of a singing voice, because God created her!
Lea Salonga is soo talented!
She is a goddess!
Thanks for your comments, truly she is.
Two years later, she has played Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd Manila! ♥️
She was fantastic with the rest of the company 😄
I also liked hearing her talk about her husband, they have a great partnership.
Beautiful Lea! Asian don't raisin :D she really look so young and gorgeous!
The Kids version of the voice is literally nuts. You can just appreciate that these 9, 10 year old kids are ultra talented and in some moments, even more powerful that the adults. If only kids, particularly girls, look up to Lea even more than these half-naked pop artists like Arianna or Lady Gaga. The legend's voice in Alladin and Mulan alone speaks volumes more than any of these supposed "artists" entire album.
So proud of Lea! Mabuhay ka 😊👏😍
Singing or just talking, Lea to me is a bringer of joy. Grateful to be alive during her time.
She is just... PERFECTION!
Hello, Build Series, I've been watching your interviews and I was so fascinated to see that you do special interviews as well to Asian or Asian-American Artists. "Asian-represent" indeed. I enjoyed your interviews with Phillipa Soo, Lea Salonga and Eva Noblezada. I hope you can also interview Rachelle Ann Go. She's a well-known star in the Philippines and a lot of people are missing her here because of her theatre jobs there in NY and in London. She's a pop star here but crossed over to theatre to pursue her dreams in making it to the international stage. Luckily, because of her talent, determination and bravery she was able to get to Broadway like her inspiration and mentor, Lea Salonga. A lot of Filipinos dream and aspire of getting there. Lea often says this line, tagging her, a song from the Disney Musical- Aida, "Fortune favors the brave". Rachelle Ann is a brave-enough woman to conquer heights and new things out of her comfort zone. From Gigi of Miss Saigon and Fantine in Les Miserables both in the West End, to Miss Saigon Broadway's Gigi, and soon to create the role of Eliza Schuyler-Hamilton in the of original production HamiltonLDN, she's definitely making us all proud as Filipinos. I hope, one day, we'll see her on your BUILD Series. Thank you and more power and sorry for this very long message.
The queen of Broadway and west-end
Lea is always just so articulate and refined. She seems to me like such a beautiful soul with a genuine respect for music and the arts. She's a wonderful role model and I wish young girls knew her more and looked up to her more than the likes of mainstream female pop stars who have to bare their bodies and repeat senseless derogatory lyrics all because it's the sex that sells. :(
Exactly, only females that have their body exposed can become truly successful in the industry. Look at Britney, Madonna, Gaga, Ariana… basically walking half naked in their videos, and sadly that's what young girls look up to, not Ms. Salonga who 'only' has her pure talent to offer.
no, it’s because she’s a music theater performer, not a pop performer
Love Lea. Also great job to the host, she knows the right questions to ask and follow ups. Always nice to see a host who is knowledgeable theater fan.
She is such a legend!
Proud Filipino to have Ms Lea
I love you Lea Salonga!
I love lea salonga sooo much
Love Lea! The voice kids or just the kids of PH in general are monsters in singing. I think they're way better than the adults (considering their age) and they still have a lot of room to grow at that.
I love her speaking voice.
"I'm beige and I'm happy"
she has not aged
Asians don't age quickly.
What a presence! She commands a room with her beauty and her voice.
"Asian don't raisin" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
QUEEN
I love how the host fangirls so hard. So sweet!
She looks even younger with short hair! She looks 25 to me and her voice sounds 18.
nosebleed 😍😍❤️❤️
I love you ma'am Lea Salonga,...
Oh my she's 49 now but she just looks like in her early 30s. ❤️❤️❤️
Lea when are you coming back to Hamburg Germany??? We have this aladin in German would be nice if you could come by..also missed your show with il divo??😏
How does she takes care of her voice
She only eats honey and fairy dust.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
🥰
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Best sounding chipmunk. lol
Oh my God i so love her but what is she wearing?
where is her british accent?
She blends in so well, yeah? She can automatically put on her American accent when she speaks with an American. Love it.
@@IceCeeTV I want to hear her speaking in Chinese accent with Chinese .It must be fun for sure.
@@roseastillero9934 Oh I didn't know she speaks Mandarin. Does she? Of course I know you're being sarcastic 🤣😂😂
I guess she lost it when she moved away from London. The Phillipines tends to favour the American accent anyway
This is Lea’s natural accent. Even though she grew up in the Philippines, she has always spoken English. (She does speak Filipino/Tagalog, but wasn’t really fluent in it when she was young.) Lea has a great ear and picks up accents pretty well. When she was in London with MISS SAIGON you could hear her speak with a British accent a lot. You can look back over the years and see Lea interviews - she often adapts to the interviewer. In the Philippines, her interviews are often in English or a mix of English and Filipino, but she will speak English with a Filipino accent. But when Lea does an interview with an American she won’t have a Filipino accent. Lea only lived in the UK for the year she did MISS SAIGON. She also lived in the USA for a few years (I think) but now and for most of her life she lived in the Philippines.
