My 2015 M8000 has a standard gauge and is supposed blink when it comes to temp and it’s never came on I’ve replaced so many things should I check my thermostat it had a new motor put in last January and new ecu still keeps going into this annoying bog/throttle cut
The sooner it opens and coolant flows through the heat exchangers, the coolant will circulate at a lower temperature, this operating temp will be lower. As long as you are in the powder with adequate snow flowing through the tunnel.
the 0913-022 only "shows" more expensive because it is discontinued, you can't order it. you have to order the 0913-034. if the 0913-022 was still available, it would be similar price to the 0913-034.
At 86° f why even bother with having one. Just take an angle grinder and buzz the thermostat part off. Then you are just left with the frame your gasket attaches to which will seal off the housing.
Keeping the thermostat in is more just warm ups. The sled will get to operating temp quicker with the stat if its functional, because you are not warming all the coolant, just the coolant in the engine until the stat opens.
Very well done video. I’m going to follow it to a T when I replace the stat on my 2018 this fall.
Another clear and helpful vid. Thanks.
Thanks
Thanks
Helpful video I'll be tackling my thermostat on my 18 mountain cat with the newest thermostat.
Probably a good idea. Plus it’s cheap
The doo scratchers were a game changer for my 18 cat
Haven’t tried the doo scratchers on a cat. Scratchers do make a big difference if you use them
Any issues with the temp sensors? My 2020 last year started over heating. I was seeing temps 200 to 400?? Could that be the sensor?

Very helpful info. I’m sure my 2020 m6000 has this issue gotta use the scratchers a like too much
Thanks, much appreciated
Hey quick questions as we as a cat dealer only saw any kinda cooling issue with the 2018s. Was the water pump update done????
I have a 2016 snopro. I just got it back from service. But since a season ago its been overheating within 15 minutes even in deep fresh snow
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to check your thermostat.
Why would it give better cooling if it opens sooner?

this information is not correct. the 0913-022 thermostat was also 85f, not higher temp as you say in the video.
