Changes I would suggest are 1: Give us an emissary flag. This would make the leveling process easier, making our work feel meaningful and allowing us to get the Killer Whale faster without taking away from the prestige of the Legendary Hunter title. 2: Let us actually HUNT Megs or even Krakens as our name suggests (not the ghost though). A sea serpent addition and more Kraken variety would be cool too but the servers are struggling as is. 3: More fishing related cosmetics would be nice…still pissed I missed my chance at the wailing barnacle set lol.
The two suggestions I've got for world bosses related to the Hunter's Call would be a sea serpent and a roc. Sea serpent is just a given for a game like this and would presumably work a bit like the Megalodon, but more active in targeting you and your ship. Maybe make it venomous, too, or spit fire. The roc on the other hand would be the first flying boss. It would circle the ship and occasionally swoop down to cause damage to the vessel and players, possibly scooping one up and carrying them into the air like the kraken can. As a figure present within a lot of Arabian sailor folklore, it would fit in well with the game, and could even be argued to have been hinted at with the paintings and bird shrines at Plunder Valley. Could also be a good excuse for a map extension with islands based loosely on the Barbary Coast.
Agree with all but specifically the leaked cosmetics, it pisses me off that rare can at any time drop all of it but decided to slowly release it over such a long period of time
The game is going to die before they release their backlog of cosmetics. Not because the game will die soon, but because the drip-feeding is typically less than a full set per month.

@@Bacxaber I guess it depends on how much of our pirate will turn into a skeleton. If it would look like Wanda used to look, then it would be boring, sure.

The skeletons in place of the player model is because, unlike player models, that's not varied. It's identical (aside from a recolor) to the actual base model used for enemy skeletons, and because it's always the same the game never has to unload it, so it's always on call. The alternative is making players invisible if they don't want to load, because there's no low-poly long range LOD for characters at all. They just disappear at that distance despite being clearly visible. I liked the costume awarded for completing Thieves' Haven Runs. That one was actually really good, and I do wish they'd expanded that concept - there are two large islands in every region (shut up about Discovery Ridge that's a medium one), and each could have a Legendary Run based on the region. Thieves' Haven and Plunder Valley can have Gold Hoarder type ones, as they do; Smuggler's Bay and Wanderer's Refuge can have Merchant Alliance type ones, due to that being the region's assigned faction; and Old Faithful Isle and Kraken's Fall can have Order of Souls type ones - most likely, they would be primarily ghost fleet stuff with a few skeletons as the intermission chapters, instead of skeletons everywhere. Then you can have a variant of that costume, which is an amazing take on a Gold Hoarder pirate who has reached Legend status without losing that identity, but one for each region, and it's a fairly easy way to make additional varied Legend voyages, get players more familiar with large islands (Thieves' Haven is burned into my mind and I know it better than I know myself), and gives a lower reward alternative to the Legend Of The Veil voyage by having it be a shorter voyage altogether. Both types would be worth doing depending on the player's situation, and it would even fix that people always gravitate towards Thieves' Haven if there's AF emissaries. That mirrored pirate killed me on the spot despite being blind. Good image.
Having two eyepatches is obviously a joke, but being able to chose which of your eyes/legs to replace would be cool. Don't think it would work with hooks, that would break too many emotes and animations.
Skeleton curse would be the best option, but I’m a POTC fanboy so I would prefer an Aztec gold curse. In daylight or in caves your pirate would look normal, but during night time you would turn into a skeleton with eyeballs and hair (unlike any skeleton curse rare will probably add, differentiating the two).
I think just being a sot style skelly (keeping hair is fine) but with eyeballs would look weird. Also Skellies have awful posture, I think it would be easy to the difference between a skelly standing straight and a hunched over one
Pets/Bats: These widdle leather winged cuties will be your faithful little shadows by night, and will look absolutely adorable while they sleep upside down during the day.
Dude, I’m glad someone actually mentioned another instrument. I’ve been begging for a fiddle or violin since the banjo was released. It’s literally in the E3 reveal trailer. RARE, plzzzzzz, add this to the game.
What would be interesting to add is ship curses. It'd be cool to have a ship be partially turned to gold or covered in slithering kraken blood like the already existing gold hoarder and order of souls curses.
I wanna see some Marchant conveys going between seaports and outposts to bring life to the seas. Like a galleon and 2 sloops. You can either aid them against skeleton ships to earn some reputation and a portion of loot based on one of the 3 major companies or sink them and full a larger pool of loot. You'd have to sink the flag ship to get the main loot For each region there would be a convey in it.
It's outrageous that in a 5 year old game where progression is admittedly cosmetic-based, all we get is a recolor of an existing set every 3 months. Between the leaked stuff and other various npc clothes, there's a huge amount of stuff that should have been available for years. GIVE US DUKE'S VEST!
I completely agree with number 6... especially when I saw hat 18, it would literally perfect my current clothing set, and also, we already have a blue version of that tricorn with the golden sailor hat from 2020! Why on earth has Rare not added those default pirate hats already?? I'm tired of most clothing options looking like actual rainbow explosion dog vomit.
4:36 figured I’d say: the only real visible difference between a Violin, and a Viola (looks very similar), is that the Viola is a bit larger, and the notes played are a bit deeper (an octave deeper)
These are all really really cool and needed (especially the skeleton curse) but tbh all I really want is to have different ship models to choose from, (NOT A DIFFERENT SHIP TYPE) i’m just tired of boarding someone else’s ship and its exactly like mines basically. They even show us they have a alternate model for the galleon with davy jones's ghost ship minions model (the enemy ghost ships from the last POTC tall tale) but they refuse to use almost anything from the POTC designs and models. Edit: clarified that I'm not talking about Davy Jones's ship I'm talking about the ghost ships you have to fight in the last POTC tall tale
The leaked content pissed me off when it was found back then but now, with the lack of cool cosmetics that aren’t time limited, it really rules me up. Best is they’ll just release them into a battle pass
I couldn't agree more about customization, maybe even a filter system, Such as a way to atleast be able to choose what type of pirates the randomizer puts out.
What I really would want to see is clothing physics. Just imagine how cool it would look standing at the frount of your ship and the wind blowing your coat
Hit the nail on the head with holster weapons and better character creation options, I feel like if u want a pirate that suits u then u will never have it exactly that way and it sucks. Edit: I was trying to remember but I'd love to see an "extra sails and rigging option" that would add the square sails, mizerd mast and some more semi hustorical rigging that could just be togled on and off if you prefer the originals or performance. Theres a diagram floating around for each ship type of exactly what I'm talking about
I at one point thought of a cosmetic type called the slithery stripe witch would be a basic stripe theme set for ships and clothes like the sea dogs and bilge rats
Agree with everything here (though I am a filthy crab-loving colorful green-gibus bastard), but I'd also like to see revamps of pre-existing world events and interactable areas. Not the first person to say this, but we need a sort of flag system for the Ghost Forts. Depending on the implementation, it could incentivize the 'living on the fort' kind of roleplay Rare pushed for in their trailers, and also actually allow for people to get that one cannons commendation to ward off other pirates who want to steal this bonus. And ever since Ghost Forts, the Siren Treasuries and Shrines have been pretty much made obsolete as far as 'quick things for playtime' go. Either make the loot haul larger or add some other incentive, otherwise it's really not worth leaving your ship unprotected for. Also, good lord the treasure map system. That needs a serious retool for either gold rewards or some other kind of return besides Renown (since that can be earned in a gazillion other ways) since nobody buries things for anyone else anymore, and the quest boards are full of autogenerated, measly loot caches.
Don't know where to put this but I think an event that solely takes place in the shroud would be really cool. Something where your ship is purposely slowed, and enemy's begin attacking you from the water, and even board your ship. Kind of like the last pirates life tall tale where ocean crawlers board your ship and begin attacking you. I feel like the shroud is cool and mysterious, but I think it would be cool to add something more, and I think this would be perfect, maybe even a chance to add new enemies to the game, like drowned sailors or something. Just spitballing so if someone thinks they also have something cool, then feel free to add to my idea.
The 4 instruments shown at 4:44 in this order are, 1. Double Bass 2. Cello 3. Viola (Which is pronounced with a long i + I play it) and lastly, 4. Violin
I always hate the clipping excuse when it comes to having cool cosmetics in games Like whenever people use it I see it means they don't play the game often enough as a lot of the time it's used on games which already has clipping issues Looks at halo infinite and its core system(legit I saw clipping being used as a defense when there is already clipping around the arms and shoulders) As a fellow tf2 I say as long as the clipping is barely noticeable and looks cool I say go for it
I think this is an extremely hot take, but full ship crews, ex: sloop has positions for 5 crew (helmsman, 2 cannoneers, 1 person on sails/working on repairs, 1 person in the crow's nest as sniper/lookout). I understand that if it was like this then everyone would just run sloops and would make the other ships useless and would greatly decrease the level of difficulty of many mobs, but imagine that if the servers could handle it and if enough people played (I have no clue how many people actually play sea of thieves) fully crewed ships sailing around doing epic battles and like 14 person shanties on galleons or something
I would LOVE to have my sword on my waist, It would be badass to see my character running around with his hand on his cutlass, also, my sea of thieves characters eyes look black! Soal-less! So I’d need to change my pirates eyes!
Thanks mate. The reason I haven't done weapon stereotypes is twofold. People are asking for two different videos when they ask that, either skins or the usage of the weapon in general. The former won't work because people don't use a variety of skins (people only use seadog, ghost, PL, or sovereign weapons). The latter won't work because that's way too broad to stereotype.
You know what I want? More ship customization. Not like what Captaincy is adding, mind you, but the ability to change things. Things like “What if I want to trade Cannons where my Harpoons are, or vice versa” or “What if I want to move my capstan” or “What if I want to remove all the lanterns from my ship”, or “What if I want to move my resource barrels.”. That kind of customization. It would be nice to have that sort of thing, and would really make the ship actually feel like yours. It’s the least they could do for not letting us fully customize our Pirate’s appearance.

Y'know whats funny about the skeleton too? Ive noticed that they're adjusted to the player's size sometimes, only very slightly. For example, when i get Skele'd my character has a bigger ribcage then my buddy's. This is literally a golden opportunity but rare is like "nah lol" A lil off topic but 1 way i think the curse could be unlocked is if you die to every single thing possible since skeletons are, yknow, dead. Think of it like unlocking all the well of fates flames commendation
I know they want to add stuff like this according to the road map of 2022 but I think we could need more stuff for roleplay than "only" the content for one season cuz its such a big topic
Lol, my character is a redhead and has a special hair colour too! It would be really cool if it was a dye, it fits well with a lot and actually looks like red hair.
If we were able to create pirates on our own, I think we'd rather have two types of players: handsome Squidwards and terrible abominations from hell (like those in ARK: Survival Evolved). Btw, just discovered my guy also had a unique natural hair, I always thought it was dark brown because it was the first hair dye I used.
a new type of curse, lightning curse, you can see your vains got blue and white lightning going threw your body add a new set of tall tales to unlock this curse, and make it at least as hard as gold curse or a little easier, would be cool to have a lightning curse
I think it would be cool if you got rings for each major (and I mean major) achievement you earn. Lets so you reach a max rank in level for one of the emissaries. You'd get a ring with that emissaries symbol on it, maybe you defeated the shrouded ghost, or maybe you sunk a certain amount of ships (lets say 100). I think it would be a cool feature and would be a sick flex if you got a ring for each of you fingers. Maybe max emissaries aren't major achievements but you know what I mean
so looking back on this vid skelly curse, a lot of the leaked clothes got in but not all of em, and the recent season cosmetics have been heavily pirate themed, I wish they werent season only and instead attached to some cool commendations but w/e not too bad, I'd love more customization and if loadouts were added too but big doubt
Some leaked cosmetics got in, but not most. We don't even have the balding hairstyle that Colin uses, which is really weird. The ONLY receding style is the new merchant one with a ponytail, and it looks bad with hats.

I’ve always wanted pet rats in the same vein as pet monkeys, parrots, etc. I know they’ve got the Pocket Rat emote but it’s just not the same. Plus, pet rats make more sense than pet foxes or whatever they’re teasing right now.
I'd love to be able to actually join a trading company and get cosmetics tied to that company to use the gold hoarders as an example it's rewards would be the key tattoo and a key necklace you'd only be able to join one company at a time and if you change your allegiance your level would be reset back to 75/50/30 depending on the company you join

That mirrored pirate killed me on the spot despite being blind. Good image.
Having two eyepatches is obviously a joke, but being able to chose which of your eyes/legs to replace would be cool. Don't think it would work with hooks, that would break too many emotes and animations.
We can already turn pages with a nonexistent thumb, I don't really care.
@@liquidanimations3397 I agree that eyes would probably look weird, but it’s accurate to the movies
I don't want that. I wanna be a skeleton 24/7.
It usually was a Fiddle, not a violin if you consider the period.
Yeah. Regardless, I want it. It's strange that we got a banjo before something that was in the original trailer.
Rare NEEDS to see this. All amazing points. I also want to be able to hold two gems or two skulls at a time. (Or be able to run while holding them.)
as someone who wears upwards of 15 rings in real life. why the fuck can’t i wear any in a pirate game?
What would be interesting to add is ship curses. It'd be cool to have a ship be partially turned to gold or covered in slithering kraken blood like the already existing gold hoarder and order of souls curses.
I never knew that the clothing leak existed, and now I want it really bad. There’s only a couple good tri corner hats, and I want more
0:52 insiders: *Sweating profusely*
I wanna see some Marchant conveys going between seaports and outposts to bring life to the seas.
Like a galleon and 2 sloops. You can either aid them against skeleton ships to earn some reputation and a portion of loot based on one of the 3 major companies or sink them and full a larger pool of loot. You'd have to sink the flag ship to get the main loot
For each region there would be a convey in it.
Yeah, that'd at least be _something._
What I really would want to see is clothing physics. Just imagine how cool it would look standing at the frount of your ship and the wind blowing your coat
there's not enough processing space for that, they already have to do so many calculations for the water :(
I need that black sovereign hat yesterday
Everything on this should definetly be added especially the outfit leak stuff that shit has stuff that would be the cherry on top for my outfit
I’ve been asking for necklaces, rings, and more jewelry since the game came out I swearrr
God, man you have no idea how badly I want that blue version of the hardy longcoat, I'd wear it forever
What I REALLY want is to be able to duel your crewmates. That'd be sweet.
I really would like more tall tales.
That violin lives in my head rent free to this day…
My personal idea, capes because I want to look like a cool bandit with a cape flagging on the wind behind me
The 4 instruments shown at 4:44 in this order are,
1. Double Bass
2. Cello
3. Viola (Which is pronounced with a long i + I play it)
and lastly,
4. Violin
I always hate the clipping excuse when it comes to having cool cosmetics in games
Like whenever people use it I see it means they don't play the game often enough as a lot of the time it's used on games which already has clipping issues
Looks at halo infinite and its core system(legit I saw clipping being used as a defense when there is already clipping around the arms and shoulders)
As a fellow tf2 I say as long as the clipping is barely noticeable and looks cool I say go for it
agree with literally everything in here, although I can understand why double hooks/peg legs isn't a thing for animation complications
The hooks already distort pretty badly for certain things, I really don't think it's a big issue.
loved the RDR2 reference
Customizable harpoons
This guy had the vision
Rare: Makes moveable stools
Players: 😒
I literally wanted the exact same things in the game, before I watched the video. It's like listening to my own thoughts lol
you have goated taste in games my friend
People who complain about clipping issues in sea of thieves don’t know how to efficiently store loot on ships
holy shit weapon sheathing i want that now bro i'ma be begging for this on every official sea of thieves youtube/tiktok video and tweet
Welp u got the skelly and ghost curse
The skelly curse is gimped by not allowing the clothes we've spent years earning, but I suppose.
I usually use the bilge rat or gold hoarder since they look more natural and like something a pirate would actually use
As u said in the beard stereotypes “just give us a f****ng accessories slot rare”
I would LOVE to have my sword on my waist, It would be badass to see my character running around with his hand on his cutlass, also, my sea of thieves characters eyes look black! Soal-less! So I’d need to change my pirates eyes!
Apparently rare gave out a specific reason why they wont allow the cutlass to be on peoples waist but I remember it being stupid
Thats… INFURIATING…
@@mathews2774 do tell if you can remember
Straight to the point and quick
I like it
Also could you do more stereotypes
Mainly weapon stereotypes
It’s the least they could do for not letting us fully customize our Pirate’s appearance.
yeah, I kinda hate that I have to grind a guild up to 80 just to get some normal striped pants
Eta: Dude, I would alternate less if violins were a thing!! I could live out my Irish pirate fantasy!
Amen speak brother, speak the truth...
I want a golden sailor sniper tbh
There's plenty of gold rifles. Sovereign, 2nd anniversary, athena ledger...
Love your personality and passion
Appreciated.
I only wear the prehistoric plunderer set as my go-to cause it’s dinosaur themed
I just want to be able to use most of my tools while sitting like the fishing rod, instruments or tankard
Man I want the skull face paint back
I agree with the prosthetics as my pirate has a fucking spine as a peg leg how kick ass is that
I agree with the extra prosthetics since blind bob exist in the legend tavern
Y'know whats funny about the skeleton too? Ive noticed that they're adjusted to the player's size sometimes, only very slightly.
For example, when i get Skele'd my character has a bigger ribcage then my buddy's. This is literally a golden opportunity but rare is like "nah lol"
A lil off topic but 1 way i think the curse could be unlocked is if you die to every single thing possible since skeletons are, yknow, dead. Think of it like unlocking all the well of fates flames commendation
Ha, no.
I think I heard Rare is adding jewelry sometime soon
The leak cosmetics are better then 90% of the stuff ingame... wow
Yep, and if I'm correct, that stuff is at least 3 years old. It's just been sitting there this whole time.
@@Bacxaber A lot of wasted potential :/
Still sad that I can’t look like seamus from family guy
I know they want to add stuff like this according to the road map of 2022 but I think we could need more stuff for roleplay than "only" the content for one season cuz its such a big topic
Lol, my character is a redhead and has a special hair colour too! It would be really cool if it was a dye, it fits well with a lot and actually looks like red hair.
bro u got a good point and i loved the part with 2 eye patches the pegs and the 2 claws or what ever u call em
Hooks.
This game has no flaws what so ever its absolutely the best thing ever
Found Joe Neate's alt.
a new type of curse, lightning curse, you can see your vains got blue and white lightning going threw your body
add a new set of tall tales to unlock this curse, and make it at least as hard as gold curse or a little easier, would be cool to have a lightning curse
Bacxaber says Vimeo
Me that is a name I haven’t heard in quite a while
Just one proper tricorn
I think it would be cool if you got rings for each major (and I mean major) achievement you earn. Lets so you reach a max rank in level for one of the emissaries. You'd get a ring with that emissaries symbol on it, maybe you defeated the shrouded ghost, or maybe you sunk a certain amount of ships (lets say 100). I think it would be a cool feature and would be a sick flex if you got a ring for each of you fingers.
Maybe max emissaries aren't major achievements but you know what I mean
3:36 those gloves look so cool
so looking back on this vid skelly curse, a lot of the leaked clothes got in but not all of em, and the recent season cosmetics have been heavily pirate themed, I wish they werent season only and instead attached to some cool commendations but w/e
not too bad, I'd love more customization and if loadouts were added too but big doubt
Some leaked cosmetics got in, but not most. We don't even have the balding hairstyle that Colin uses, which is really weird. The ONLY receding style is the new merchant one with a ponytail, and it looks bad with hats.
@@Bacxaber to be fair tho MOST hats are fitted improperly, belles hat is the best one in the game imo
also jackets mess with hair too for some reason
the order of souls feather hair looks SO good with low collar jacket but ugly as hell with normal one
@@KingGrey I'm not talking about the fit, I mean the receding style has really long wisps on the sides of the temples. It's weird. Particularly the left side.
@@Bacxaber I think the fit is the reason a lot of hats do that, cause the rest of the hair isn't on the model anymore it just picked where it would be based on the hat and not the head
genuinely wish they would make a pass at every hat and fit them more properly on pirates so it doesn't look like a fully pressed down snap back
I also had a video blocked with the little dark age song
I’ve always wanted pet rats in the same vein as pet monkeys, parrots, etc. I know they’ve got the Pocket Rat emote but it’s just not the same. Plus, pet rats make more sense than pet foxes or whatever they’re teasing right now.
Agreed.
I wish they put in a grapple like the original pirates didn't they like in the old days swinging across the sales to the enemy or climbing rocks
We desperately need the key necklace. You can say it invalidates the need for the hoarders, but aren't we their leaders at this point?
i have literally no idea why the time limited hunters call voyages arent in the main game like ffs
Agreed, they're not even good.
Rare: you want to look like god?
Players: yes but actually no.
wut?
Players want handsome squidward, but want actual clothes.
A violin or fiddle would be neat, but when are we gonna get a damn penny whistle and/or fife?
This guys is angry! Aaaand I agree with him. WHERE ARE ALL THOSE COSMETICS
I also just realized that turtles dont exist in the game. Why not?
No clue. I recall hearing something about avoiding "animal cruelty", as if killing sharks isn't.
@@Bacxaber I just want to ride them like jack sparrow
Clothing leak clothes, yes.
