trim is the big issue with this vehicle. watch when using on loose gravel, I got piece up in the gearing. simple fix but only because I didn't continue to give it throttle. I'm in process of full upgrading this car aka Vortex. I took mine out in light dusting of snow last winter and biggest issue was just having to clean it all out of the rims, shocks, and what snow landed up under and laid down on chassis. lots of fun making donuts in the snow but sucked cleaning out all wet snow. cross my fingers: I still haven't broke anything yet. but then again I have 2wd traxxas slash so don't use too much anymore. but it's still a project car for me. thanks for video.
I have Stampede 4 x4 VXL w/ TSM and love it. After having that, that's all I really want to play with anymore because everything pales in comparison. Same with my drones, once you have had brushless (200 QX) everything else is kind of not as fun anymore. Thanks for your feedback, it sucks about this car. If they could fix the trim they would have a real winner on their hands. What makes it worse too is that it goes so fast so you have to constantly adjust the wheel as you are driving just to get this guy to go straight.
yes I love this RC way better then Teton latrax for how cheap it is not only that you can change the motor too a 540 motor how great is that for a small 1/18 that can take a full scale 1/10 motor that's crazy this is the best 1/18 out there
You put it on a flat surface and get it the best you can. This is why I prefer analog trims over digital trims because you can tune it in to be exactly straight. At high speeds, you just have to constantly correct it. A critical design flaw in my opinion because otherwise this is a great unit.
Not for $60. I would save my money and get a Traxxas brushless VXL. Once you have that, all the other toys like this won't get played with and ultimately inside deep down that is all you really want/need.
Just getting into rc cars. I have 2 1:24 scale models...having the a959 delivered tomorrow. Good video.
keep smiling stay happy dont let anyone take that from you ;)
Thanks, I am always the optimist.

The only problem is the steering, could never get a perfect trim on this car and as a result had to keep constantly adjusting it.
Joseph Daly nah easy fix I bought new to links it should be alot better.
Is the servo programmable to a new receiver?
i have the same problem with trim, how did you make it go straight?

is there anything that is around the same price that you consider better than the a959? thanks
