Another bonus note for #4 for Elektron users! I didn't think of this until after this video, but you can also use the Velocity Mod menu in the Elektron sound setup menu to make the sound change dynamically with the velocity. Very useful and quick to set up, great to have filter frequency or decay or whatever you want tied to velocity so when you turn on the accent it makes the groove that much more dynamic!
The bonus tip was spot on! I never thought about it Oo'! Great hangout my friend. Lovely to see this little piece of device fitting so well in your workflow!
Hey cool, glad you got some use out of the video! I always have a knack for finding the weird hidden tricks 😂 Thanks for watching my friend and again for turning me on to this machine!
Great overview. I feel the same as you and can’t ever see me not having the T-1. Works great with the elektron sequencers and actually compliments them really well. With the Syntakt it’s such a great combination. I’m using the tracks on the T-1 in the same layout as the Syntakt, then keeping 13-16 free for other MIDI gear. My brain works better this way!
Random is a generated sequence of 16 values. Increasing random itself will increase how much this generated sequence will change over each pass. Returning it to the minimum, blue value at that stage of change means you can retain that pattern based on the influence of random. There is a shortcut to changing the collection of random values themselves, maybe clear + random knob?
@hexwavemusic. Thanks for sharing this video! I use the T1 in conjunction with the A4 & Rytm and i was wondering how you manage to get sidechainning going when the kick triggered. Maybe it can be applied on the Rytm aswell. Many thanks.
No problem, glad you enjoyed it! So I have a different setup now but from the top of my head... The sidechain ducking here is through the Syntakts FX channel. It has the ability to duck the VCA of anything running through it. The way I would get the Torso to work with it so that the kick track also triggers the FX channel (thereby triggering the Sidechain ducking) was by assigning the track on the T1 that is controlling the kick to ALSO trigger the FX channel (since you can assign multiple Midi channels to any track on the T1). This is as far as I can remember, might be some more nuance I can't recall. As for how to apply it to your setup I can't really say, I can't remember what the Rytm has for ducking options and I've never had the A4. But good luck!
Thank you my friend!! It is an awesome little device for sure! Definitely very small and portable, it can even be powered by USB and do midi over it if you are using a USB midi device, so it would be just one cable!

Fascinating! I’ve seen you and Atlas and other folks doing great things with it, but this is the first time I’ve gotten a clearer sense of the magic
It's a very cool machine! Thanks for watching!

Glad to hear, thank you 😁

@@JamesLevine-p6l Great breakdown, thanks!
Man you and Atlas are making me gas real bad on this one...
@@HanjoSynth 😂😂 Well I can only recommend it! Very fun if you can get past the learning curve, once you know it it's very intuitive and fast!
cool machine, looks like it opens up elektron sequencers even more
Yeah it is super cool! Thanks for watching :)
ohhh thank you so much for the bonus tip!
No problem 😁 Glad to help 👍

Cool guide man! Looks like a very nifty piece of gear with a very small footprint. Visions of a 'portable setup' are beginning to materialize...
