Thanks for this video been trying to find a bracket to get a light bar for behind my grille. Theres not a lot of parts for newer rebels yet so this video is a big help, I plan on running a rigid radiance on mine because I like the backlight.
Thank you you’re awesome. My rebel is a 2020 and someone posted the white and orange strip wire doesn’t supply enough voltage to make the relay work. Any suggestion what wire I can posi tap for the relay.
I've heard that. There are two white/orange wires in the bundle. Make sure you are grabbing the thicker white/orange wire in position 13 on the passenger side headlight plug.
@@WaterFowler41 ok, got it, Thank you very much. I did find 3 wires on drivers side putting light bar in. There is a black, a white and white with orang stripe. Looks like there got running lights. What do you think.
Weird. I have a '20 Big Horn. There is no cover on mine, it's all one piece that is blocked so no light comes or goes. Thought it was the cover and when I removed it, the entire grill portion comes out. Called AT and they were no help. Not sure this actually works on '20 Big Horns now. Really wanted this light bar too ..............
Thank you for the great video. Removed the cover once I got under the Rebel and it was exactly as you shown. Question I have, by removing the cover and installing a 22” light bar reducing the air, as if the cover was on it. Is it for aero dynamics? Should I block off the corners that are still opened or is it meaningless. You are the only one I trust, because you know what your doing. Thank you again, awesome video.

There's a white wire with orange stripe in the passenger side headlight harness that feeds the side marker. Its in terminal 13 on the plug. Thats what I used.
You have any issues at all related to removing the close out panel? Like getting dirt and shit back there or snow? I’m debating cutting the close out panel or just removing it entirely. Let me know if you have any thoughts
Would u happen to know if the limited lower grille is the same? I’ve read that I have to buy a new grille in order to do this light bar kit. $80 for the grill would be nice to save a little money.
@@WaterFowler41 Love your information. Every time I have done it the way you explain and always, always works great. 2 questionsI: can I use a 22”:light bar? Second are the clips called tangs, and how do you remove them? I have a 2020 Rebel
Can I get just brackets? Would you know where? I have 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie. I can’t do that with my grill. Looks like I’ll need to buy different grill.
Yes you can get just the brackets from rc for a 20” bar (you’ll need to call them to order) or you can head over to shifts and grins and get their brackets for a 30” light bars
Hi - just got around tot doing this myself and i appreciate your video. Is the plastic back piece connected o the front mesh grill cover, or are they separate parts? seems when I am tugging at it the front cover is moving as well. any help would be appreciated - cheers!
If you can afford the rigid or even baja designs, go with those. I’m not made of money and I liked the “backlighting” of those light so I went with Oz. I’ve heard great things about those top tier lights and if I was only doing the lower 20” (not a pillars) I wouldn’t splurged on one of those guys.
Just curious how long the install took , looks simple enough but that bracket held on by a 10mm. yeah that was probaly 99% of your time trying to find the 10mm
The bracket too 5 minutes. Threading the screw through the bracket into the light bar and using an Allen wrench to tighten was a pain but honestly it’s a super simple install
Awesome video. Ordered that kit for myself based on your video, so thanks! Quick question for you - how do you actually detach the rear trim piece from the brackets. It almost looks like each bracket has a nut on top of it. Do you have to loosen each of those nuts to get that black box to detach? Thanks!
Thank you for the extensive overview! I've been wanting to do this to my 2019 Rebel since I bought it.
Finally someone showing me how to remove that lower grille back cover. Thank you!
Takes a little manipulation but well worth it!

Then you’ll want to check out my drl circuit video. I added a relay to run my “radiance” style lights. You’ll want to do the same.
Rock on!
Great video. I liked and subscribed. I just purchased a 2019 Rebel a week ago. Excited to start some mods.
Christian Leinhauser good luck with the new truck! Let me know if you have any questions on any of my videos.

I don’t know about the drivers side, might still be terminal 13 but the white with orange only applies to the passenger harness.

Nope no issues! Still running without it!
Do you have a part number for the light bar...thanks...great vids....

My dad has a limited and his grill is solid so I suspect yours is as well meaning you’ll need a new grill

It’s only snapped on but a TON of snaps…
Great video , very informative ! I have a question , how much space is there between the front lens of the light bar and the plastic grill ?
Matthew Robertson about an inch on the sides and 1.5-2” in center. In hindsight a curved light bar would fit this low grill well.
Water Fowler 41 awesome , thanks for the reply. I’m trying to decide what kind of beam pattern I would want!!
I’m trying to find the bracket only. Do you have the link for it? Thanks!!
You have to call them and order directly they don’t list the brackets separately
Do you know if those brackets would fit on the older Rebels as well?
Don’t think they will
I tried looking up the OZ light bar and can't find it, did they do away with it??
They discontinued the bar. I switched over to the Zroadz bar, check out that video on my channel!
@@WaterFowler41 will do thanks
So are you looking to get rid of the OZ bar...where u located???
@@franktiboni8610 The OZ bar has already been rehomed, sorry!
@@WaterFowler41 no problem, keep the good vids coming, thanks
How bright is this unit? Worth the $200 or go to the Rigid for 2x more?

I don’t think it will but Zroadz makes a bracket for the earlier model rebels

Nope it’s all clips, start on the top clips then it will eventually pop out
Great job!
Love the video will be doing the same, one question though, why did you go with oz-usa light bar vs Rough Country?
I like the backlighting in this bar and haven’t heard many good comments about the RC bar.
They charged me $32! damn! HAHAH thanks for the video!
What a rip off!!!! Haha good luck on your project!
