    Exactly what I need on my R NINET! Even the 2021 factory LED is “style over substance”-the beam pattern shoots way too far but I want to see the road immediate ahead too. Planning on installing Evo fog lights as soon as I fit crash bars on it, thanks for the demo!

    I am scared to ride my CB1000R at night because I live in the country and it's pitch black were I live and one night I almost hit a deer because I couldn't see it until it was right infront of me. Thankfully it ran back into the woods and not infront of me but the headlight is dangerously under powered. I absolutely must get these lights. That is a game changer. Thank you so much for this demonstration my friend 👍🏼👍🏼. I hope your rides are plentiful, safe and the road clear.

    Living in western Colorado, there is no way I could ride the CB1000R at night with the stock lights (deer, elk, sheep, etc.). Full disclosure: at 65 yo, I only ride at night or in rain if I'm "caught" in it. I really like the brightness of these lights without the blinding other drivers aspect of various "baja" lights. Another great review.

      @AndyManCam  3 года назад +2

      Thanks Jeff. I thankfully don’t have to ride too much at night. But when i do, the roads in Germany are very dark and the Markings practically disappear when it rains. At least this way I’ll have a better chance of not ending up in a ditch!

      You and me both mate. I remember, in retrospect, thinking that the headlight was a bit dim as I went through a tunnel on the test ride. Just thought that perhaps it was that strange phenomenon with LEDs that they seem dim in the daytime, and then suddenly you can see everything at night. Sadly NOT!! 😂 Luckily it's so bright that people can see me coming from the future now!

    I have two sets in my Tiger, small ones low down around the engine casing which I have on permanently and a bigger pair (ooh err mrs) either side of the headlight which are as strong as your Motech ones . I use the lower ones to break up my look to the oncoming drivers and the Muppets in side roads. The bigger ones I use for those dark urban side roads at 5am in the mornings if you know what I mean, everyone's asleep and driving . I can sympathise. My bike has has a halogen headlight and while it’s not terrible, it’s not great either. Tried several sets of led bulbs but didn’t find any that were any good. Fitted a set of spot lights and the difference was amazing. Trouble was they were cheap rubbish from China and failed very quickly. Now looking at a set of Denali spots that I can use the fog lenses on. Not worried about extra lighting distance as the high beam on the bike is reasonable, but something to flood the road in the same distance the low beam covers would be great, especially because the hours I work mean that at least 60-70% of my riding is in the dark. They are expensive, but this is one of those cases where the price reflects the quality. Sure you could get some cheap Chinese LED lights, but over the years of buying and using gear on bikes in all weather I’ve Learned that if you buy cheap, you inevitably end up buying twice. But it all comes down to how much being able to see abs being able to rely on the product is worth to you. If it doesn’t add up, don’t buy!
