Do you reckon they’ll ever electrify this line so grand central could get new trains, or is it better to just rely on the diesels they already have?
I think it would be a more cost effective solution to keep the line as it is. Besides, it wouldn't be effective as the Tyne and wear metro already occupy a section of the DCL with their trains operating on a different voltage to those on the mainline. So this wouldn't work anyway.
Yep. Grand Central is back on service now which is good. But Hull Trains 802s are still on test from Kings Cross to Hull.
