Yup. I just got out of one last night. 2 years of always apologizing for being hurt by his bad treatment, working while he sleeps all day and stays out all night with hos then feeling bad for being suspicious. Then I woke up and just couldn’t take it anymore.

Wow 😳 quite a bit terrified to realize I dated someone exactly like this. Ya know, minus all the influencer stuff. She was getting real violent with me at the end of our relationship. I felt like I couldn’t leave, like I was trapped. Those months after I left were very rough for me…but I’m thankful I did. Who knows if I’d still be here.

This is tragic. Domestic abuse against men is never taken as seriously as it should be, especially when the abuser is a woman. Christian deserved a partner who loved and respected him. Knowing that she made his life miserable for months before he died makes this whole thing difficult to watch.

Men are usually embarrassed to report domestic violence against them by their wife. I had someone close to me whose wife punched and broke his nose while he was driving, she shot him with a 45, but the gun jammed, etc. He never reported any of these. He never laid a hand on her. The wife died of natural causes and that's the only reason he survived her.
Women also rarely report domestic violence against them …. I had an ex like her. People think women are harmless and men being abused is hilarious. You don't need me to tell you if it was the other way round. I walked out when my ex started accusing me of physical abuse and she was the one throwing my stuff at me, spreading rumours causing friction between me and my family. Why? Women have that "she's harmless" and when a woman does get physically abusive, you either take it, or defend and risk looking like the abuser. My ex wife was the same. She would do her best to try to get me to hit her and I would walk out. She threatened to kill me after a disagreement (I refused to forge her brother's signature on a new lease) and that day I left with what could fit in my car and filed for divorce. No matter the situation you really can't base an opinion off of someone's reaction like this. There's really no right way to act. When I was told my dad was dead I laughed, I literally laughed, because I didn't believe it. Within an hour of that I was sobbing, screaming, throwing shit, and then feeling nothing. It's really not a reliable way to see someone's true feelings on it.

I had severely low blood pressure at the time, and couldn’t get up to get away, or else I would have passed out. I was utterly scared for my safety. I’d never been that scared before from a guy I was dating - I never talked to him again after that. Eff that!!

And in their specific situation, with how well off and surrounded by friends and family they are, it’s not a case of “well now he has the apartment and I’m out on the street”

I had someone close to me whose wife punched and broke his nose while he was driving, she shot him with a 45, but the gun jammed, etc. He never reported any of these. He never laid a hand on her. The wife died of natural causes and that's the only reason he survived her.

I had an ex like her. People think women are harmless and men being abused is hilarious. You don't need me to tell you if it was the other way round. I walked out when my ex started accusing me of physical abuse and she was the one throwing my stuff at me, spreading rumours causing friction between me and my family. Why? Because she was having a bad day, a woman messages me or something to cause drama. Women have that "she's harmless" and when a woman does get physically abusive, you either take it, or defend and risk looking like the abuser. I walked out because I could see my life end without dying. Women like the one in the video play the im a defenceless woman, and try use that to justify their abuse. The part where he wrote "I don't always need to win to make her happy" or something like that was hard to listen too. You'd deserved far more better than this. No one deserves to feel like sacrificing their happiness to keep someone toxic happy is right. Everyone deserves to be happy.

She threatened to kill me after a disagreement (I refused to forge her brother's signature on a new lease) and that day I left with what could fit in my car and filed for divorce. When I was told my dad was dead I laughed, I literally laughed, because I didn't believe it. Within an hour of that I was sobbing, screaming, throwing shit, and then feeling nothing. It's really not a reliable way to see someone's true feelings on it.
